Physical Description: She is the spitting image of her father, with very little of her mother’s features. Out of all her siblings, she and her older brother look the most like the Trumble side of the family, tall, waifish physiques aside.
Emeline is tall, slender, and lithe—standing at over six feet, she’s taller than many men and most women. However, she takes pride in her height—the only inconvenience she sees in it is the fact that it’s rather difficult to find clothes that fit properly. Her face is oblong and narrow, with a thin chin and high arching cheekbones. Her eyebrows are dark and substantial, with very little natural arch. Her eyes are large and have a pale, faded blue hue. Emeline’s hair is dark and long, with very little natural wave to it.
Although she is naturally quite fair, she enjoys spending her spare time out in the sun; her skin is slightly tanned and her face is freckled across her flat nose. Her lips are full—and while Emeline doesn’t usually wear lots of makeup, she does tend to throw on a boldly colored lipstick to make it look like she’s trying, no matter how lazily she dressed that day. Her posture is straight, though not rigid. She does not slouch, and is not hesitant to wear heels whenever she feels like it—even if it means she towers over most when she does.
On her wrist is a tattoo of a two digit number, a countdown to the next full moon; it changes every day. On the day of the full moon, it reaches “00.” Her werewolf attack scars are located on her arms and chest, the bite is on her side. She has a tendency to forget her own strength, and and can be clumsy and accident prone at times.
Personality Description: The first impression most get of Em is a gentle sweetness. She is not shy—but rather, is quiet until she feels like she understands your personality. Once she feels like expressing herself, she is quick to tease and smiles easily. She tends to make snap decisions and act on them, rather than thinking things through. She is slow to trust others with her innermost thoughts and feelings. She is not particularly sensitive about being a werewolf, but she is a generally sensitive person. She is an unintentionally funny person, and tends to say strange but still genuine things.
She is resilient, though she tends to make many mistakes of judgment. She has a tendency to submit to the demands of others in order to avoid confrontation, and is easy to walk all over. This is a trait that Emeline is actively trying to change—it is a trait that kept her under the control of others for most of her life. It is also the very same trait that kept her from speaking out and seeking help from an outside source, leading to her attack on her brother.
Although Emeline doesn’t show it, she is wracked with guilt over biting Zel; though the situation was out of her control, as wolfsbane was withheld—she feels as if she deserved to go to Azkaban, and wishes that her brother didn’t fight so hard to give her freedom. Emeline feels like it would be easier if Zel didn’t forgive her—and wishes that others put as much blame on her as she does.
At work, she puts on a convincing customer service face and is quite accommodating—which is easy as it’s how she’s had to live most of her life. She has a silent temper—though it is expressed through passive aggressive and subtle revenge. She has lately embraced small acts of physical violence, which is... Just a little bit terrifying for her brother, Zel. As much as she loves to dress up and party from time to time, Emeline feels truly at home when she is out in nature—swimming, running, and climbing trees.
History: Emeline is the secondborn child and firstborn daughter of Alrich and Gwenyth Trumble. Her father was a freelance healer, while her mother was a potioneer. Born in Altotting, where her father grew up, it was planned that she would go to Durmstrang. Her parents had high hopes for her—her older brother was a squib, and they hadn’t planned on having any more children two years later, after Zel was born. From the very beginning, she was a daddy’s girl—she idolized her father and followed him everywhere.
When she was seven years old, her twin brothers Lucas and Emeric were born. Not too long after, her mother became pregnant again.
Alrich was ashamed that his son was a squib, and tried to accept him. Eventually, he sent him to Hogsmeade to live with a relative and sell books—a nonmagical skill though not an ideal job. When Emeline was eight years old, her brother came to visit. She, her father, and Garrett were walking home late at night in July, after a dinner with his parents. Unknown to Emeline, her father had made plenty of werewolf enemies in the area, as an outspoken werewolf opposer. His sometimes violent discrimination against werewolves led to a planned attack. In that attack, Garrett was left scarred, Alrich was killed, and Emeline was bitten. Her first transformation was a month later.
To get support from her family over her husband’s passing, and to get help with the baby that was about to be born—Gwenyth packed up her children and their home and rented a home in Cardiff, close to her parents. A safehouse was built for Emeline’s transformations, and it was established that she would be homeschooled from here on, despite receiving a Hogwarts acceptance letter the year she turned eleven.
The tutors that were hired for her education were like family to her—they taught her the basics, and she was able to take her OWLS and NEWTs as a passingly average student. Her best subjects were potions and Care of Magical Creatures, though she could hold her own with charms and Herbology.
The older she got, the more controlling her mother became. Their relationship grew rocky, to say the least. At first it was natural—dealing with a werewolf daughter when she herself was not a supporter of werewolves. But it never improved . Emeline did not have many friends growing up, her closest companion was her brother, Zel. Her childhood was a lonely one. Emeline did have a lip on her, and would show attitude—and the punishments for her disrespectful behavior usually resulted in a single dose of wolfsbane being withheld. And that was all that needed to slip up in order to lose her humanity in her transformations.
She was not allowed to move out, though she was allowed to work at her grandmother’s crafts shop part-time.
On July 7, 2009, after having wolfsbane withheld from her earlier in the week—Emeline transformed in the safehouse. Her brother, wanting to check in on her—was attacked and spent the rest of his summer in St. Mungos recuperating from his injuries. Her mother was sent to Azkaban, and Emeline and her brother were set up with a case worker. It was established that she would need her wolfsbane dosages monitored and her transformations were required to be at one of the ministry’s safehouses—not her own.
Her case worker helped her find a job at Alohomocha, and she lives in a small studio apartment. She adopted two cats, and she jokes that she’s living in their home rather than them living with her. She doesn’t particularly enjoy her job, and she wishes she could do something else. Emeline is interested in working with other werewolves, though she is not sure how to enter that job field.
Describe your job duties and how you go about them: As a barista at Alohomocha, she prepares coffee, espresso drinks, blended drinks, and teas. She also helps with cleanup of the shop and is required to have comprehensive knowledge of the menu items and provide exceptional service.
Elaborate on your expertise in your field: She really likes coffee and was trained for the position.
