Wish fulfillment [Closed] (20th May)

The body was laid out on the bed next to her. Crisp white sheets were pulled up over his face and his hand hung over the edge of the metal framed bed. Miranda, biting back her tears stood up and slowly pulled the sheet back to reveal the face of what she’d expected to be her brother. Instead, a younger man’s eyes gazed back at her, his face pale and scarred from deep gashes which had bled out. As her husband’s empty blue eyes continued to stare back at her, Miranda started back and bumped into a large man. She instantly span around to face him.

It was the headmaster. His large figure towered over her as his booming voice rang out. Why had she left without saying anything? When would she be back? How dare she just abandon the school? Before she could even attempt to plead with him, Miranda was thrown back onto the bed which had now grown in size and a different man was coming towards her, hunger in his eyes.

Her lips parted slightly as he climbed over her, kissing her, hands wondering. Her hands grabbed his back, pulling him closer as she kissed his lips back.

A voice broke the atmosphere and Miranda opened her eyes. She wasn’t in the hospital room anymore. It was her own bedroom in the London house. Her body was shaking and felt tired as if she’d just been exercising. Calming her breath, Andy sat up.

“Where have you been?” She asked, a small smile slowly forming on her lips.

Startling up, he blinked, trying to get his bearings. Putting out a hand, wincing slightly before he reached up and rubbed his head, Jason sighed and leaned back into the uncomfortable thoughts that were his own, smoldering in his head as he stared out into the night. He yawned, covering it before stretching, pushing himself slowly up from the couch, glancing around in slight confusion. Hadn’t he fallen asleep somewhere else?

Unsteadily he took a couple steps forward, finally making it to the stairs that he took nice and slow. Eventually he moved into the familiar room, a small smile on his lips as he looked at her, basking in the faint moonlight that stretched across the ruffled sheets. Or tossing and turning in the light… Frowning in slight concern, Jason moved forward, recalling only briefly a bit of what he had been dreaming about. It only slowed him a little, biting his lower lip in thought.

Pausing near the end of the bed, he put a hand out to steady himself, fragments of his dream coming back to him. Throwing the book at him, a higher pitched grunt escaping her lips as the force behind her throw gave way, she cursed him in three different languages.  Rubbing his forehead as if he could imagine the spine cracking against his head, Jason licked his lips and shook his head. Someone’s booming laugh came from above, Jason glancing out into the darkness that seemed to shroud him. A sudden flash of light appeared in front of him, and he took a step towards it.

Jason drummed his fingers against his bare stomach, watching Miranda as she calmed down in bed. The bed creaked softly as he made his way to her, resting against her body before snaking a hand around her. Surprised when she sat up, Jason smiled and pulled back enough to not restrain her, his fingertips running along her thigh. Leaning forward once again, he kissed her shoulder before sitting up far enough to kiss the edge of her lips.

“What’s important is where I am now…” Pushing her gently back to the bed, he ran his fingers to her hand, interlacing with hers before pushing it above her head, laid over her. He kissed her lips playfully, the thoughts that had plagued him before now gone as he moved down to her chin, finally sitting up to look down at her.

“What’s important is where I am now…”

Andy wasn’t sure what to say. She’d felt the kiss as if it were real but the dim romantic moonlight coming in through the windows made her think twice. She was still dreaming, wasn’t she? Jason was just going to turn into something else and she’d wake up in a few hours alone and in her bed at the castle. But the cool breeze coming in through the open window and blowing the curtains felt real.

There was a tug pulling the healer down to the bed to lie down. She didn’t resist and rested her head on the soft feather pillow.
His hand pushed hers above her head and his lips parted hers.
Soft moist lips locked in an embrace.
She had to be dreaming.
This was just an improvement on the last dream she’d had.

Finally the man sat up and Andy frowned as she looked up at him. Why would she dream about him? Her frown deepened and she squinted slightly. It was him. And it took a moment to register what was actually happening and realise he had actually spent the night.

She pushed herself up in the bed to face him and her fingers brushed slowly against his lips. “You should go home to your wife.” And Miranda had to go back to Scotland and real life. She’d avoided it for long enough.

Something about Miranda helped Jason forget about other things that would otherwise make him feel guilty. Perhaps it was her full lips, or the way she smelled amazing. Or the bed felt pretty good. Smiling against her lips, Jason took a breath in slowly as he squeezed her hand gently. His fingers ran down from her hand to her forearm, teasingly tracing their way down to her shoulder.

As great as it was, Jason enjoyed the look on her face as he pulled away. He tried to see the look in her eyes, tilting his head a little so the moon light might strike just right; it wasn’t, however, and he let out a breath of slight frustration before smiling. At least he was able to see her expression, his eyes used to the low light. The cool wind made goosebumps pop up across his bare skin, a shiver running down his back.

When she sat up, he leaned forward to kiss her lips. Frowning in slight confusion as her fingers ran across his lips, Jason kissed them lightly, finally smiling while he looked over her face, his eyes lit up. Then he heard what she said and he lost his smile a little.

“You should go home to your wife.”

The breath he took in came out with a sigh as he hung his head slightly. “Is that your way of dismissing me?” Giving her a small smirk, he leaned to her, kissing her nose before moving down to her lips. He tried to push away the thought of Fiona and after a moment he pulled back. A small grunt escaped his lips as he straddled her, sighing as he sat back slightly on her legs. “She’s not home tonight anyway.” Aidan was visiting his parents, and he’d used a fairly broad excuse.

“I also want to stay with you.” Raising an eyebrow, he ran his fingers down her sides. Or maybe she was bored with him now. Jason did feel bad; it hadn’t been planned at all. At least the first time. And now he was finding reasons to stay with her longer and longer. He hadn’t meant to fall asleep downstairs; must’ve been one beer too many. Moving a hand up to her cheek, he gently ran his thumb against it before cradling the back of her head, his fingers in her hair. Jason leaned forward for another kiss, pressing lightly at first.
