While at Hogwarts, it was difficult to get any alone time. And so it was hard to get any together alone time with his girlfriend, Jordyn. Just thinking about the fact that he had a girlfriend made Jai feel giddy and fluttery inside. Since the scare a few weeks ago, it was pretty clear that Jordyn was reluctant to risk getting caught again. Jai was too, but he didn't have nearly as much at risk if he got into too much trouble.

Jai admired Jordyn's tenacity, but it added to the problem of finding time and a place to be alone. He found himself going on walks since the weather was becoming brighter, and while wandering around the gardens he had found a flower that reminded him of Jordyn. He couldn't figure out why, maybe that it was just so intricate in its design. Jai thought it was a very unique flower, finding the sequence of the petals to be Fibonaccian.

He put it in a vase like he knew he was supposed to. Well, it might not have been a vase so much as some kind of container-thing that was mostly vase-shaped. He had found it lying around in the library, and though he was generally against stealing, he figured the vase wouldn't be missed. It had been so dusty when he picked it up that Jai had sneezed four times (the last three times because the first sneeze had caused a small dust explosion).

Finally tonight, Jordyn and Jai's schedules lined themselves up in such a way that they could spend time together. Time, together, and alone. There was still some danger of getting caught, but it would be much more reduced, especially in the sixth floor classroom that didn't appear to belong to any Professor. Jai waited there with the white dahlia, feeling anxious.

It wasn’t easy to agree to meet on a Wednesday afternoon, that was for certain, but Jordyn hadn’t seen Jai that much since the beginning of May, outside of being in class together, and she really was looking forward to unwinding and spending time with someone she didn’t have to pretend around. 

Her friends, of course, didn’t require any false pretenses, but it seemed like the whole world expected one thing from her and then there was another whole part of her that she had to keep hidden or suppress just to get through the days.  It had been bad enough that the carefully crafted and manufactured reputation had suffered a little upheaval.  She didn’t like that, at all but there wasn’t much she could do about it except prove anyone wrong. 

But, then again, Bran had been kind enough to… give her a schedule she might use to have some private time with Jai, and this was the first time she was actually going to use it.  She’d told Jai where to meet and when – she was determined not to get caught again.  Smoothing down the skirt of her dress as she headed up the stairs and a combination of exertion and some excitement was making her heart beat faster. 

The trip from the dungeons to the sixth floor was actually quite the hike.  Letting out a deep breath as she reached the top, Jordyn made sure she fluffed her hair and tried to catch her breath before she approached the doorway, flushed from exercise.  She poked her head in and smiled, letting her backend catch up before she made it all the way in.  “Hi,” she greeted lamely, walking toward him to greet with a much overdue hug and kiss. 

The rest of the world always disappeared as soon as Jordyn entered the room. Jai had just been intensely worrying about a range of topics -- would they get caught again? Why weren't these desks in straight lines? He had just been starting to meticulously straighten the rows of desks when Jord walked in, and then he totally stopped what he was doing.

He smiled against her lips and held her close for a few extra moments. He was so much taller than her -- he kissed the top of her head with a goofy grin, happy Jordyn couldn't see him get so mushy over the smell of her hair. Jai had missed her, though, and it was nice to have her in his arms again.

Remembering the flowers, Jai scooped up the vase and gave them an extra look, hoping Jordyn liked them. Was she into flowers? "I saw this today and - it just reminded me of you. I thought you might like it," Jai was fumbling for words. This had gone so much more smoothly in his mind.

It felt so nice to be held.  Jai had this weird way of making her feel like even if she was anxious and didn’t really like physical contact that it was totally worth it, so much so that she didn’t even pull away after their kiss ended. 

She rested her cheek against his chest, eyes closed, instead while she felt him touch the top of her head.  She had sprayed some of her favorite perfume in her hair.  She wondered if he noticed.  Her eyes sprang open when he moved and she was confused for a moment, adjusting to the light again before she really realized what he was holding and she put one hand on her chest, taking the little container with the flower in it with the other. 

“Jai!” she gushed, bringing it up to her nose, drinking in the smell.  “It’s beautiful!” she took another deep sniff of them and pulled back to look at the pretty, white flower with the intricate petals.  She liked that – maybe it meant he thought she was complicated, but in a pretty way.  She hoped that was the case.  She hoped her recognized that in her, that she wasn’t just… crazy to be crazy, but rather because of reasons. 

She put the flower on the desk next to where they were standing and pulled him by the shirt collar down to give her another drawn-out kiss.  When she finally pulled away, she leaned her nose against his and tried to make eye-contact but everything was coming in sort of fuzzy.  “You are so sweet,” she touched his cheek and kissed him again. 

Kissing was so nice. This was an activity Jai had never really thought much about. Other girls hadn't made him feel the way that she did... he would do anything for her! She made him feel like he could do anything, and that was an uncommon feeling for him. And that she was kissing him back was -- astounding. A miracle, definitely.

As she brushed up against him again, the freedom to be intimacy became more and more apparent. Jai made the kiss go on for as long as he could, tugging at her lower lip and pulling her in tight. Time had no meaning, and moments were blurring together.

He held his forhead against hers, her cute little nose brushing against his. He ran his fingers slowly through her hair. "Hi," he whispered.

Jordyn hadn’t exactly gone around kissing a ton of boys before this year, but she’d kissed quite a few and it felt very different to be kissing her proper boyfriend, like she could and she could enjoy it without feeling guilty or like someone might find out and talk about it later like she’d done something wrong.  She was just having a proper kiss for something sweet that had been given to her. 

He didn’t have to think about her when they weren’t together but it always seemed like he was and Jordyn was embarrassed – just a little bit.  Getting positive attention was so nice… and different.  She giggled when he brushed their noses together and ran his hand through her hair, sending a shiver down her spine.

Taking a step closer, Jordyn lifted her knee, skimming it against the inseam of his pants before she smiled back.  “Hi,” she smirked, “again,” and hopped up so she could sit on the surface of the desk that hadn’t been used in she didn’t even know how long.  Momentarily, she worried about dust, but when she rested her feet on the chair part of the desk to keep herself up, she didn’t really care. 

“My friend,” she informed him as she smoothed out her skirt over her thighs, “gave me a list of all the patrols and free spaces…” she informed him, “no chance of getting caught today,” she patted the side of her dress, the paper folded and secure in a small, magically created pocket (since the garment hadn't originally come with one). 

'Haze' was an accurate word to describe the state Jai was in. It was still only weeks since Jordyn had first entered his life, but she had taken it by storm. Though his anxiety level was still well above average, thoughts of her overpowered them. If he could charm a girl like Jordyn to like him, he could do anything. He just hoped that he made her feel half as good! Sometimes she was hard to read.

Jai's life had transformed so dramatically that it was strange to think about life before Jordyn. Thoughts of rearranging the desks were completely forgotten as she rubbed up against him. He smiled and his eyes followed her as she jumped up onto the table. He moved close to her, placing himself in between her legs with his hands on either side of her, their noses almost touching. "No chance at all?" He kissed her again. "Getting caught doing what?" He smirked devilishly.

She patted her chest and Jai was surprised but elated with the gesture. He leaned in for another kiss, sliding his hand up her hips and waist to the spot she'd so coyly patted at. It had been a while since he'd had access to this area and memories of it were blurred by alcohol.

While Jordyn had been sitting primly before, her knees pressed together like any young lady would, but Jai had moved to be near her, and that meant being slightly less dainty and ladylike.  Her knees moved to accommodate him, which made her instantaneously establish some modesty by rearranging her skirt so as not to… well… to protect decency. 

It did not seem, however, that Jai had any thoughts of decency in his mind because he put his hands on her hips and asked her about what they’d get caught doing.  Jordyn felt the faint glow of a blush starting to build on her cheeks and she reached up to move her hair from her face before swatting him (lamely) on the chest, “Naughty,” she chided half-heartedly. 

She didn’t have much time to add that they wouldn’t get caught talking when he started kissing her again and Jordyn had to admit, she did quite like kissing him.  She closed her eyes and returned the kiss, dimly aware that his hands were travelling – an unintentional shocked gasp escaping her when it appeared Jai had a certain idea.

Jordyn pulled her head back, a little breathless and laughed quietly – partially out of awkwardness and partially out of embarrassment.  “If you wanted to see the schedule you could have just asked,” she removed her hand from his waist and reached into the little pocket to pull the color coded and organized paper out… though she was fairly sure that probably wasn’t what he was looking for. 

As Jai's hand moved around, he felt and heard... was that... crinkling? Jai's eyebrows furrowed as he kissed Jordyn. Women's underwear was still a bit of a mystery to him, but he was pretty sure it wasn't normally made of paper. He wondered what was in store for him beneath Jordyn's clothes, which made the abrupt stop in kissing even tougher. Jai's face remained stuck in kissy-position for a second after their separation.

The piece of paper Jordyn pulled from the area he'd just been touching explained a lot. Really, it was reassuring to know that he wasn't going to have to worry about accidentally ripping anything tonight. That was what his mind was focused on, but he looked at the paper regardless.

"Wish we'd've had this the other night," Jai looked at the paper in her hands without pulling away from her. He pushed it to the side and gave her some smooches on her neck. The memory of Professor Storm looming over them was still a fairly scary one, and he didn't want to start fretting over that.

Of course, it wasn’t really the paper he was interested in, which Jordyn probably could have guessed.  He barely glanced at it, but she supposed that was fine – Jordyn had it totally memorized anyway.  She’d spent most of class looking at it after Bran had handed it to her.  Honestly, she’d missed some things – she’d need to get the notes from someone. 

Those thoughts were fleeting as Jai pushed the paper (and her hand) away.  “That’s why we have it,” she informed him with a smile, “Bran was mortified we got caught.”  He wasn’t the only one, of course. 

The image of what happened in the hallway threatened to come back in full swing, but Jai was swift in nuzzling into her neck, forcing her to tilt her head and her heart rate picked up again.  She grabbed onto his waist again, her arm muscles tightening as she pulled him forward so he was pressed up against her.  Jordyn licked her lips, having lost her train of thought and her eyes fluttered closed again. 

Of course, she didn’t want any marks on her – it was too warm for a scarf now and she coyly moved her head back to catch his lips, redirecting them to kissing her lips again.  You know, if there had been a plan for this date other than kissing, Jordyn wasn't sure she would have remembered it anyway at this point.

Jai didn't address the mention of Bran, who he didn't know very well. Jai hadn't met any of Jordyn's good friends yet, at least not in the context of Jordyn's boyfriend. Meeting the Friends was almost more important than meeting the Family in certain ways, and Jai was nervous about impressing them. Once their opinions of him were formed, he knew that they'd probably share them with Jordyn, and if they were bad, then he was probably out, right? He did his best not to think about this and instead return to the moment. At least Bran was encouraging them to be alone together.

They hadn't really discussed the plans for the evening, just that they were going to meet up in the empty classroom. Normally, when they met outside, Jai -- geekily enough -- got caught up talking about the stars or they'd walk around. It was too nervewracking to risk staying in one place to make out, even in the Astronomy tower. Jai and Professor Trishna were friendly, but he wasn't sure if he'd still have the same standing with the professor if he got caught snogging in his classroom.

Now that the paper was gone and they were smooching again, Jai let his hand creep up her side again and returned his hand to that nice spot he'd been at earlier. Sans crinkling, it was softer and nicer than he remembered. After exploring that area for a while, he moved his hand up to her neck. Her skin was so smooth! Needing a breath, he slowed the kiss and touched his forehead to hers. "I missed you," he confessed.

While there was some internal conflict about wandering hands, they were certainly silenced by the tingles she was experiencing.  Jordyn’s hands did their own fair share of roaming, from his belt, where’d she’d been holding onto before and up, over his chest and then her arms around his neck, because that was the most comfortable way to kiss. 

Plus, she could put her hands in his hair, and she loved his thick, black hair.  Scratching her nails against his scalp, Jordyn was surprised at how weird she felt when he was suddenly touching her neck and a whine of protest that she wasn’t anticipating came out and she imagined she must have flushed like a tomato. 

Clearing her throat as they pulled apart, Jordyn looked to make eye contact with him – everything blurry because of how close they were and she laughed, bumping her nose against his.  “Missed me?  We had class together today,” she replied confusedly, not really sure what he meant or if it was even logical.  Did logic matter?  It was cute of him to say anyway. 

She pecked his lips quickly and tangled her fingers in the hair on the back of his head.  “Though, I guess five hours is a pretty long time,” she teased, the corners of her eyes crinkling as she giggled. 

The haze cleared a bit when Jordyn pulled away, and Jai realized he might have been a little too much, especially since they'd been together only a few minutes. She was just so hard to resist! He wanted to hold her and kiss her and touch her all over but he wanted her to want him to do that even more.

It was true that they had class together, he saw her almost daily -- but sitting in class vastly differed from the scene they were in now. He kissed her nose. "We can't do this with Professor MacLeod around," he pointed out with a grin. He ran his thumb along her waist as he held her there. He gave her a peck back and decided to let her take the lead, this time. The last thing he wanted to do was make her feel weird or like leaving. "What should we do?"

No one who knew the reserved, conservative Jordyn as the only Jordyn that existed would believe the eruption of giggles that came out of her mouth as Jai grinned, asserting they couldn’t do any of this with their arithmancy professor around.  “Too true,” she agreed, biting her lip to try and stomp out any residual giggles (a difficult task because the mental image was completely ridiculous). 

Jordyn was just enjoying kissing and being able to spend time together.  She’d dropped the schedule Bran had carefully constructed for her (she’d need to pick that up later), but she didn’t really know the answer to his question.  While she was usually willing to make decisions no one else wanted to make or order people around in a context of what she knew, this was an entirely new situation to her.

She didn’t know what boyfriends and girlfriends did, outside of what her friends told her… and that was a lot of kissing and… other things.  She felt color rushing to her cheeks again and she turned her eyes downward, searching her mind for an idea.  “I know,” she suddenly looked up, “let’s play questions.  You’ve played before?  You know, where one person asks the other a questions and you have to tell the truth.  Then, you ask them a question – back and forth.” She licked her lips. 

She’d played this game with her friends in the dormitory, but it seemed like it would be fun to do with Jai here.  “If you don’t want to answer a question, you have to…” she paused to think, “kiss the person who asked.”  That seemed fair.  She looked up, trying to catch his eyes.  “Does that sound fun?”

Jai hadn't ever played the Questions game. Well, he hadn't really, unless you counted his little sister pestering him with questions, but the punishment was a little different -- instead of kissing her (ew), he normally rolled his eyes or walked away. He wasn't about to walk away from Jordyn, though, and Jai was intrigued.

"Alright," Jai said, "But you do realize that if I don't answer any questions, I get to just kiss you a bunch," he pecked her on the lips, "and that's what I really like to do..." He pecked her again. "But I'll play your game. You go first." He couldn't come up with any questions on the spot, and he wondered what area Jordyn was particularly curious about.
