"I will certainly let you know if I need your help," Winnie told him. She was still holding out hope that Fifth year was going to be HER YEAR and that she would get caught up on her spell work and figure out flying and perform, for once, as a mediocre student. She had a feeling that it would work out for her. She was working hard, after all.
Speaking of which...
Winnie started gathering up her things, and offered Josh a bright smile. "Thank you so much for talking to me. I really do feel a lot better about things now. But I have a lot of stuff to get done and homework to do and things to study for. And I guess I really should go back to the castle and work on those, instead of laying out by the lake moping about things."
"I really do mean it, that you would be a great head boy. You've been a big help to me. I really hope you get it next year. If you don't, I'll be sorely disappointed. Because you deserve it. I'd vote for you, if I could, if it was a thing you voted for at all." She shoved her things into her bag, and flipped her hair over her shoulder, still smiling. "You really are the best. I'm glad that you took the time to talk to me about things. I really needed that."
