    Physical Description:
Autumn has light brown hair with red highlights. Her hair is of a medium length and often worn in braids so as to keep it out of her eyes. There are freckles dotting her cheeks and nose. She is a bit slim though she does not look unhealthy or malnourished. When not in school or in her school robes, she wears layered tees, denim jackets, and skating sneakers. She prefers to wear many different colors even under her uniform, when she can get away with it.

    Personality Description:
Autumn is logical and a bit idealistic, though at times this could lead her to be a bit judgmental. This can be a problem when meeting new people if she's unable to see an odd view of theirs or if they just seem to be ignorant about a subject she finds simple or obvious. She is often rather stubborn and not entirely open to new ideas, though she tries to be. If she cannot understand something completely and cannot prove it, she just accepts it for what it is unless something sparks her thoughts to prove it right or wrong. She's very intelligent and creative, though often her ideas are a bit far out and even she can see how they do not logically fit in the world that surrounds her. It is sort of contradictory on her personality, that she does not always accept others' illogical ideas though her own are questionable. She is an honest person though oftentimes it may turn out that she is too blunt. When she finds a subject she's passionate about, specifically within the realm of natural magic, she works passionately to understand everything that she can about it. It's a bit counter-productive though as she can be overly passionate about something and completely forget the rest of her studies. Still, she usually studies enough and has an almost photographic memory (or she likes to believe) that when it comes to tests, guessing and making up answers that seem logical are a rather simple task.

    History:
Autumn was born on October 22, 1997 to a grocery shop manager, Nate Moore and a secondary school Math teacher, Natalie Walsh. She is the third of five children. She has two older brothers, Anthony, 19 (as of 2009), and Andrew, 15. She has one younger sister, Alis, 9, and a younger brother, Asher, 7. Their family was always rather close and every year they would go out to Nate's parents' house in South Cambridgeshire. The kids were given a bit of an education with nature from their grandparents, both of whom had some profession with animals or plants, though Autumn never knew what they were. This ended around Autumn's ninth birthday, when her grandparents died in a car accident with a drunk driver. The loss hit Autumn hard, so much so that she could not keep herself with the rest of the funeral party. It was while she was crying that odd things were finally noticed to occur around her. Wilting flowers slowly came back to life, or appeared to do so. A scream from a nearby mourner brought attention toward her, and the elderly lady that screamed called her a witch. After the funeral, Nate and Natalie tried to find a reason for what happened and why the flowers just wilted again when Autumn stopped crying due to fear.

They brought her to several doctors, none of which were able to answer their questions. They brought her to a few priests, hoping that if their wasn't an answer from science, then perhaps there was one from God. Autumn had vowed to never step foot in a church again after two of the priests had mentioned something about evil and hell. Throughout all of this, Autumn had begun to do her own research and observations. While in London on a visit to her mother's mother, she watched people outdoors, as she often did, trying to point out differences and oddities between every passerby. As she watched a woman rifling through her purse, she saw her pull out a stick of sorts, move it in an odd way, and then suspiciously walked away. Autumn had missed what it was that the woman had done, but it was the only odd occurrence from that day that Autumn had remembered.

Autumn spent much of her younger years trying to prove that she was a better student than either of her older brothers in primary school, specifically so that she could go to the same secondary school that her brothers attended/were attending. However, shortly after the end of the school year, during the summer, the Moore family had a visitor. The woman claimed they were a teacher and handed her a letter. Confusing as it was, Autumn's face lit up with understanding and passed the letter to her parents, neither of which understood what it meant. The woman explained that the school was for those with the ability to use magic. Autumn's siblings were jealous, and her parents were still more confused then upset. It was explained to them how they should go about purchasing her supplies and getting her to the train.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?:
Autumn was chosen for Ravenclaw house primarily because of her thirst for knowledge. She could spend forever learning about almost everything. She's open to all subjects, any topic. If she is unable to answer a question with enough detail, she feels the need to search for even more information. However, as much as she enjoys reading, she enjoys observing more. Anywhere she is, if not focused on something else, she spends her time observing whatever is around her. If confronted, she always lists the positive and negative effects of her choices before acting. However, if someone she loves is involved, whatever options include protecting them usually outweighs the others. Unlike the other houses, she is passionate about her studies and her journey to learn new things, though her beliefs and opinions can be changed if another can make some really good, educated points. She loves to debate about things, (though as she's only 12, usually those debates are about which book or author is better with her brothers). Autumn loves adventures, but more for the knowledge that can be gained from walking into the unknown. She would still think through most of her actions rather than running headfirst into whatever is out there. She has a few other traits that overlap with each of the other houses, both positive and negative, though her creativity and curiosity are what place her within the house of Ravenclaw.

((I hope that it is all right that I have her conversing with one of her older brothers after receiving her letter. I am assuming we're god-modding the other person as it is a sample.))

Autumn sat on one of the swings that hung from the play-ground around the corner from her home. The wind was blowing softly that day, as a whisper that tickled her ears. The sky was mostly cloudy, though there were bits of blue sky that peeked out with a bit of sunlight every now and then. She had been sitting outside for almost four hours just thinking about the previous day. Her parents had taken her to London to get her supplies for school. Magic school. None of her siblings could ever compare to her. Or her cousins! She was better than all of her relatives! Autumn stopped her thoughts for a moment to consider that statement. Is there even a means to be compared if we're not comparing the same thing? It was one thing for her to compare her maths scores to her brothers' when they took the same level of tests. Now they were on an entirely different level. She and all of her siblings were all on different paths now. Though the woman had said that magic could still appear in her younger siblings. Did that mean that Asher or Alis were going to be at her school someday? Autumn had a million questions though most she would have to wait at least until school to find the answers.

Autumn sighed and began to actually swing instead of just sitting on it and rocking. She kicked her legs and propelled herself along, pushing her self higher and higher. Turning her head to the sky, she let the clouds and their various shades of white and grey mix and make her dizzy. "Hey, pipsqueak," her younger brother, Andrew, greeted as he stepped across the grass onto the sand. Autumn watched him closely as she stopped her swing. She was wondering if they were going to be treating her any different now. She was already the oldest girl in the family.

"Andrew, what do you want?" She asked, hoping that she wouldn't sound too much like she didn't want him around. Actually, now more than ever, she wanted to have her big brothers around. Everything was just so confusing that she was even started to question her relationship with them. A squeal from a couple young children running onto the playground, their mother not far behind, caught Autumn's attention. She had thought that maybe she could have a deep conversation with her brother, but that just did not seem possible with other people around. Andrew told her it was time to come home for lunch. Autumn sighed. "All right." Reluctantly, she stood up from the swing and began to walk toward her house. There was such a mixture of emotions within her that she could not focus on something as simple as eating. She was thankful he had reminded her of food.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
Autumn has a thirst for knowledge and a bit of competition, mostly from growing up as the third child with two intelligent older brothers. In order to be noticed, she had intended to work diligently to obtain better grades. Instead, she found a love of learning new things which inevitably lead to her losing a bit of her obsession for comparing herself to her brothers. Autumn is defensive of those she cares about and when they are involved, regardless of her options, saving or protecting them takes priority over herself. She is creative and playful, as well as observant. Autumn can be stubborn and argumentative as she enjoys a good debate like the ones she used to have with her brothers. However, most people outside her family have found her debates to be more of arguments with her stubborn attempt to keep her point of view unless the other has solid evidence. She is still a playful eleven-year-old, though she prefers to be on the sidelines watching others instead of jumping in headfirst and playing with them.
