I'M CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF REWRITING THIS BECAUSE IT SUCKS. (3/4/12)

    About You, the Writer:

Your Nickname: Well... My name is Annie.
Have you read and do you agree to the Code of Conduct?:
But of course. I stick to the rules, yes sir.
How did you find us and decide to write with us? Oh. Well. I don't really know... I just typed in "Harry Potter Roleplay" in a search engine, and this one site gave me a huge list of them. I wasn't fond of the flashy colors and dumb little pictures and cliches of the other sites. I've always liked these types of forums, too.
If you have written other characters here, list them all: Nope.

    About Your Character:

Full Character Name: Beatrix Eleanore Audrey Dark.
Character Birthday & Age: November 14th, 1993~ Sixteen years old.
City & Country of Birth: Born in Holyhead, Gwynedd, Wales, where her father's manor is. But now lives in London, England with her mother until she is old enough to leave. (Edit: Now that Michael Dark is escaped, however, Bea is living with him again)
    Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn: Pureblood.
House & Year: Ravenclaw, year four. (Now year six.)

Wand: Yew, Unicorn tail, seven inches. It's supple with a bent shaft.

    Physical Description:
Beatrix Dark is a very, very petite girl. Standing at 5'3" and weighing under 100 pounds, she's not much to be intimidated by. She's very slim with naturally scrawny features, such as thin fingers and boney knees and elbows. Her thinness accents her high cheekbones, which are common within her family. Beatrix's spine is also accented, however her slimness is natural, as it is with all members of her family. It's not typical for a Dark to be muscular or tall, as long as they have the blood of Bea's great-grandfather Michael Dark I. Of course, they all had their baby fat days, but most of them grow naturally thin. It's from their strictly white blood, as they tend to stick around the Welsh, English, Irish, and Scottish persuasion (Michael Dark and Audrey Chancelier being a sad exception). Despite being so small, however, she walks with confidence and air of cheerfulness that's enough to make someone vomit. Beatrix may also walk in a drunken stride due to her lack of caring about what people think of her. Her height has always been an issue for her, as she can be virtually unnoticeable. But Beatrix isn't too fond of being unnoticeable, so she makes herself noticeable.

The Darks naturally have dirty-blonde or brunette hair. Having the blood of a Chancelier in her veins, Beatrix's looks are much more shocking and exquisite. When Beatrix's hair isn't shocking, hot pink, it's shocking, silver blonde. Beatrix gets her hair from her mother, however, as a kid, her hair would change colors, so her parents were never entirely sure what she truly was. As a child, her hair would stay silver blonde, like her mothers and her twin sister's. Bellatrix, her twin, hadn't received metamorph powers, but Bea would keep her hair the same as Bella's. Beatrix's hair throughout school had always been short, due to her father's constant harping. One of the many reasons Beatrix prefers not to be a blonde anymore is because she doesn't wish to look like her mother. However, whenever Beatrix's powers fail to work with her, she looks like a spitting image. Beatrix's hair usually falls just below her chin, with her bangs just below her eyebrows, cut straight across. Bea's hair is naturally straight, due to how thin it is. Now in her sixth year, Beatrix has grown her hair long again, along with her bangs, which are side-swept. Now that her hair is long, it waves lightly, but otherwise is straight as a pin.

    Personality Description:
Though Beatrix looks like her mother, she acts a lot like her father. She can be vulgar and nasty. She's one for revenge and doesn't take it lightly. One insult will usually bring out her bad side, and give her enough of a reason she'll violently attack you. Beatrix uses her wand to her advantage, though she doesn't use it against other people if there's no need. She hates to follow rules, though. Yet she follows them all the time in fear someone will catch her in her dirty acts. Meaning, she'll prank and torture anyone who deserves it.

But! Beatrix things very lowly of people who torture or harm others. She's a hypocritical maniac and will stand up for anyone who is in danger of another student's wand or fist. Beatrix is a good girl deep down. Suffering isn't her cup of tea. She's a sweet girl once one gets past all of her nastiness. Bea smiles for no reason, she enjoys hugs, and loves animals. Yet, she also scowls for no reason, enjoys shoving people into walls, and hates people who resemble her, psychologically, in the slightest. Besides some of her close friends, of course.

And to make matters even more confusing, Beatrix enjoys running around, screaming, throwing things, and slapping people. This side of Beatrix isn't seen very often. It's the Dark family blood that runs in her veins that makes her so maniacal. Beatrix sings her heart out at random moments and dances when she's taking exams. She's a happy girl, just very, very confusing.

What's even worst than being a Dark, she's also a Chancelier. Snobby and self-assured, Beatrix believes she's better than plenty of people and tends to believe her opinion is the most important. But, Beatrix is still a polite, well-mannered girl most of the time and listens to everyone ideas. Then slowly pushing her idea onto everyone else until they finally agree with her.

    History:

On January 22nd, 1993, Audrey Chanclier

(That's all I got in me right now! I'M TIRED AND CRANKY! Dec. 28th, 2009)

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Beatrix is a nut for learning. She reads all the time, and wishes to know everything there is to know. She's also very clever, so she can pull the most witty pranks at ease. She's also very creative. Beatrix can draw very well, she likes to doodle all over her parchments with the words "EXTRA CREDIT!?" across the side (Which only worked one time, mind you. Her Professor had a nice burst of laughter at Beatrix's drawing of him as a giant and destroying H0gsmeade). Beatrix can also sing fairly well, but chooses only to do so in awkward situations. She can be found in the library almost twenty-four/seven.

    Writing Sample:
Soft steps could be heard echoing through an empty corridor one night at Hogwarts. It was about three in the morning and everyone had retired to their dorms. The residents of portraits lazed in their frames, not even Peeves was up and about. Yet... these steps were seemingly awake and vibrant. Beatrix Dark had just left the library after studying potions. She was reading a popular magazine, Witch Weekly, which was saying how wavy hair was now out of fashion. Beatrix muttered the ingredients for Draught of Living Death, though had no real intentions to using it. As she turned the corner, walking towards the Ravenclaw common room, she heard a cry for help. Beatrix's head shot up and she looked around, confused. "Who would be up so late?" She thought, closing the magazine. After walking a few paces, she finally found the source of the cry. A small Ravenclaw first year was entangled onto one of the upper-most banisters on the ceiling. He sighed in relief to see Beatrix staring (and almost grimacing) up at him.
"Could you get me down?" He cried, wiggling a bit, "I've been here all night."
Beatrix let out a small whimper of sympathy for the boy. Why would somebody do such a thing? "Of course, silly!" She called up, still staring with a sad look plastered onto her face. With a flick of her wand, the boy was gentley let down onto the floor where he was safe.
"Thank you!" He smiled, brightly, still shaken from the cruel joke.
"Who did that to you, love?" Beatrix asked, cooly. She was ready to report the bully right away.
"Oh- Um. I believe he was in Slytherin..."
Beatrix raised an eyebrow. Slytherin? Gee. Who ever heard of such a thing?
"Yeah. He had asked if I wanted an easy way up the tower, and when I said yes... He just laughed and used some spell to stick me on the ceiling." The boy shivered slightly where he stood.
"Did you catch his name?" Beatrix asked, quietly.
"No... But he was really tall and had dark brown hair... And a snaggled tooth."
Beatrix shrugged and sighed, "All well..." she waved her hand in the air and giggled, "You're safe now. Run along upstairs and get some sleep." The boy did as he was told and hurried up stairs, as if he'd get caught and thrown onto the banister again.
Beatrix yawned and looked out the window~
The clouds unraveled themselves from the moon just as she did so.
She stared, dreamily, out the window for a few moments before heading off to bed for a small rest. Her dreams consisted of cursing Witch Weekly for calling her nonexistent, wavy hair out-of-style then brewing them a potion that caused them to go into a deep sleep.
When Beatrix awakened, the headed off, quickly, to the breakfast tables. Breakfast had started ten minutes before and she was going to be incredibley late.
But, as she reached the great hall, she noticed a Slytherin boy... Fairly tall... Dark brown hair... and a snaggle tooth.
"Yeah! He was just hanging there on the ceiling- It was SO FUNNY!" The boy chuckled with a very doggish looking Slytherin girl.
"Hey!" Beatrix snarled at once, storming up to the boy.
"Hey there, Beatrix?" the boy turned to her. She recognized him quickly as a Jeremy Flingson (Made-up name!), a boy she had tutored not too long before.
"What's wrong with you?! That poor boy was up there all night!" Beatrix yelled, her arms flying around her head, over-dramatically.
"Really?" He tilted his head back and laughed, "That's so funny!"
"NO! This is funny!" Beatrix seethed. With that, she flung her wand at him and cast a rather nasty set of boils to spring all over his face.
"BEATRIX DARK!" One of Beatrix's Professor's had just arrived at the Great Hall and had watched the whole predicament.
"Professor!" Beatrix hid her wand behind her back, Jeremy had collapsed and moaned in displeasure onto the floor.
"Detention! One month!... B- BAD GIRL!" The Professor yelled.
Beatrix hung her head in shame, "Does that mean I have to read from a book... Again..."
"Yes. I believe it does." The Professor scowled.
    "YES!" Beatrix cheered.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
Well... Beatrix is fun loving, brilliant, and extreme. She loves to pull pranks, loves to read, and loves potions. She has an excellent hair cut, and a cute way of carrying herself. She's sweet, but no quite innocent. She can be rather cruel, and she can be fairly mouthy. She hates her mom, loves her sister, loves every house at Hogwarts. She can eat a whole tray of those Hogwarts meat pies and doesn't really care about the house elves since they LIKE being servants. Beatrix is giggly and cheerful and wants to one day be Ravenclaw Quidditch Keeper. She also regrets not telling KNOX GREYFRIAR (:D?) that she likes his purple robe with stars on it that one day he complimented her hair.

    EXPLANATION OF BEA'S HAIR CHANGES:

Because Bea is a metamorph, her hair generally changes according to her mood. Normally, she can control it rather well, but if the feeling is strong her color will shift. I decided to finally keep track of this. I'm fairly sure I got all of these right, but some may conflict with emotions I've said in past threads. But I'm not certain.

    Beatrix Dark: Ravenclaw Prefect.

    Accepted! ~Elle/Fauna

[Character Name:] Beatrix Eleanor Audrey Dark.
[Title Applying For:] Ravenclaw Prefect, starting next year.
    [Link to Accepted Biography:] Link!

[How Has Your Past Prepared You For This Honor?:]
Even though Beatrix has been quite the troublemaker, she’s a very good little girl. She helps tortured first years and sticks up for people being bullied. Beatrix believes in only good, even if she’s a violent lady with a bad temper. She shows sympathy for all she harms, and always means well to those who have been harmed. She tries to apologize for all of her misdeeds and never has she hurt someone more than once.

There WERE a couple of incidents that Beatrix was in a lot of trouble with the school. Beatrix doesn’t mean to get into trouble, and tends to make up for it by helping around the school or taking her detentions in silence and respect. Beatrix secretly doesn’t mind detentions, which is probably why she never learns her lesson.

Beatrix’s main goal in life is to be a better (and not as insane) little lady. She knows she can be a good role model if she tries and she knows she’s a respectable student… She just hasn’t had a chance to show it. She’s been very good this year. There were only a couple of problems and only one time she lashed out on a fellow student. Not bad on Bea’s part, right?

[What Do You Think the Most Important Aspect of This Job Is:?
The most important aspect of this job is to be fair, or to be a good example. To be a prefect, you must act with your good judgment and try to keep your best act on. Also, it would be a bit awful to have an unfair prefect. Beatrix is just expressive with how she acts, which gets her into trouble. She’s fair, and she can be a fairly good example if she tries.

[Tell a Story From Your Past That Has Proven Your Mettle:]
(You may tell the story as if your character is telling it,
or you can write in the third person.)

Well, I, Beatrix Dark, am a very well-adjusted young lady. I was walking along to the Ravenclaw tower, since it was getting late and I wanted to make it in early for curfew, when I heard two students talking. Devlin Matthews and… Errr… Mary-Sue McCootie. Devlin was offering to open a door for Mary-Sue so she could steal something from inside.

I was going to tell a Professor, but I didn’t know of any anywhere close. So I acted quickly and went to go stop Devlin from letting Mary-Sue inside. It was the History room… That’s why, um, the test key is gone. I didn’t act quickly enough. Mary-Sue was paying Devlin before I was able to run up to them, breathless.

“No, Mary-Sue! Don’t steal the History test key, Professor Greyfriar works so hard for you to understand what’s happening in class!” I said, being the innocent and brave girl I am.

“Maybe you’re right, Beatrix Dark,” Mary-Sue said, nodding in agreement, “I don’t want this History test key anymore. Devlin Matthews, here, you take the History test key.” Mary-Sue gave it to Devlin, took back her money, and skipped away. And Devlin Matthews stuck the test key in his pocket. It’s in his pocket… I swear.

“You’re a cheap prostitute, Beatrix Dark.” Devlin Matthews then told me,

“What? Mr. Matthews, I’ve never done anything as unholy as intercourse for money! I am an underage witch!” I said, taken aback by Devlin Matthew’s horrible remark.

“No. You do it for free.” Said Devlin Matthews. I didn’t know what to say to him, and I felt so bad that I started crying. Devlin Matthews laughed to himself, joyfully. Like Santa Claus. “You also dress ugly!” He added and then laughed some more, shaking his belly like a bowl full of jelly.

“Mr. Matthews, I think you should put that History test key back.” I advised Devlin Matthews, politely.

“No!” Devlin Matthews took out his wand and placed it at my neck, I tried to stop him but he grabbed my wrist. “Give me all your money!” Devlin Matthews yelled, “Or I’ll ruin your pretty face!”

“Thank you for calling my face pretty, Mr. Matthews.” I said with my best manners, “I will not give you my money. I need it for my teenage hopes and dreams.”

“No! Give me your money!” Devlin Matthews yelled at me, viciously, “I destroy teenage hopes and dreams!”

So, since I didn’t want to get hurt, I gave Devlin Matthews my money. Now I’m broke and have no money for new shoes for my feet. Devlin Matthews let me go and said “Now I don’t want to see your face again, you dumb little fourth year!” And then walked off.

But, since I was so brave and sweet and innocent and nice, I stood up to a great and terrifying force and prevailed. Also, I stopped Mary-Sue from getting into loads of trouble by stealing the History Test Key. Which Devlin Matthews still has… I swear. Mary-Sue can now take the test and feel good about her test grade… And not feel like a cheater.

[The REAL Devlin Matthews and “Mary-Sue McCootie” story: Link.]
[Sorry! I couldn’t think of anything. xD]

[Eyewear:] Usually, none. On rare occasions she'll wear giant yellow sunglasses.

[Family Information:] Dad's escaped from Azkaban and hiding, mother is a fashion designer, twin sister and little sister who go to Hogwarts, older squib brother.
[Pets:] A cat named I-Eat-Small-Children. She also has a cat she is currently smuggling in her dorm, Birdie, that she acquired from Rain Miller her fifth year. She will also be smuggling a fat cat which she will dub Wubby, which she'll find in an alley in Hogsmeade.

[Allergies or Physical Handicaps:]  [X] Yes  [ ] No
[What:] Well, for one, she's insane. For two, she's allergic to eggplant.
[How Long:] Every Dark family member is crazy. And she didn't learn she was allergic to Eggplant until she moved in with her mother (Mainly because she never ate it before).

    [Chemical Dependency:]  [ ] Yes  [X] No
    [Criminal Past:]  [ ] Yes  [X] No

[Educational Level:] Has completed four years of school, is still continuing her fifth year.

[Oddest thing that has ever happened to her:] That's a tough one for Miss Beatrix. It would have to be the time that she and Zoey switched school uniforms. Him wearing her small skirt... Priceless.
[Personal goal yet achieved:] To become apart of the Quiberon Quafflepunchers.

[Most afraid of/Boggart:] I've given this question plenty of thought... It would have to be her father dying.
[Why:] Though usually people would think of their dead close ones, Bea's worst fear is to watch her close ones die. Especially her father. He was, after all, the one who cared and loved for her.
[Their protronous:] Beatrix hasn't fully developed hers yet, but when she finally does it will be in the form of a cat. Mainly because, like Beatrix, they're tiny and sly and move quickly. They're also egotistical and moody, but like to rub their heads over everyone they meet. Just like Beatrix.
[Greatest Strength:] Very optimistic and happy.
[Greatest Weakness:] Hot-headed, protective over loved ones.

[Where does character see herself in 10 years:] Married, kids, being a stealthy criminal mastermind.
    [Musically Inclined:  [ ] No  [X] Yes
[What Instrument:] Her voice. (Wink!) No, really. She sings quite a lot.

[Biggest Regret Mistake:] It's suppose to be "biggest regret", but Beatrix doesn't really regret things. Anyways, kissing Erin Harper shall be put down here.
[Why:] Well. Kissing him was pretty awesome, right? He's a cutie with his cocky smile and hilarious insults... However, the guy's a total jerk. And he probably wouldn't be such a jerk to Bea if she didn't hurt the guys feelings by snogging him and then being all "PEACE! I'm leaving you for your dormmate!". So, Bea led to Erin's discovery of womanizing, and possibly made Beatrix realize that she doesn't only think she's pretty, but she really is. A great ego boost for the two of them.

[Special Talents:] Has one hell of an arm, can knock people off their brooms with it. Can wiggle her nose. Has very good peripherals; She can usually see when people are around her. That is, if she's paying attention. Can be quite charming if she tries, and she can sing like a cutesy angel.

[Any Family Traditions:]  [ ] No  [X] Yes
[What Are They:] There's a golden locket that the mothers pass down to the daughters. Bellatrix got it instead of Beatrix.
The eldest child also inherits The Dark Manor once they grow to the proper age (And, of course, Michael doesn't usually count his son as the oldest). The Manor, since her father was taken away, has gotten fairly creepy. But will soon be legally under Beatrix's possession.

    Accepted!

    [Character Name:] Beatrix Dark.
[list your other characters, if applicable:]
    Trent Travis.
    William Pennyapple.
    Demetrius Woolfolk.
[Please provide a link to your Application:] Link.
    [Age:] Fifteen.
    [Special Ability:] Metamorphmagus.

[When did your character master this ability?  How long have they had it?:] Beatrix was born with this trait. She has quite obviously had it her whole life. She has been able to hide it away from the world so far, but has most recently been using it quite often.

[How did they learn or hone this ability?:]
Bea’s father, Michael Dark Sr., is also a Metamorph. The genes were passed down to Bea, but completely missed the other children, whom are most likely a bit jealous. It was very natural to Beatrix, of course. But it took a while for her to finally control it.

[Describe how the Special Ability influences their life.  What do they use it for?:]
Bea’s ability has made her become different than the rest. Her appearance changes in many ways just with the simple twitch of her mind. She never gets bored and she never complains about her looks.

Beatrix has a good head on her shoulders, though. She’s never thought of changing facial or body structure to look like somebody else. She keeps her natural face and body, just alters it a little. She’s made her hair change in length and color, changed her eyes from blue to green to violet. And when she’s alone, she mixes around her face like a cat’s or a professor’s. Nothing too big or scary. Though her father wasn’t, Bea is good at heart.

Of course, Bea is slightly afraid of her ability. She hides it away so no one thinks she’s an outcast. Even though she sort of already is. She’s registered with the Ministry, which makes her a little calm. She believes the Ministry would protect her if people were to attack her for her differences. Though no one has ever claimed that happening, Beatrix is paranoid that she might be a first.

[Write a description of what happens when your character is exhibiting this Special Ability:]
Whenever Beatrix has a strong emotion, her hair changes into a vibrant, frightening color. When she’s depressed, it’s a bright blue. Angry, it’s a flaming red. When she’s overjoyed, her hair stays the pink shade she keeps it at. This is a smart move on Bea’s part, since she’s always happy. And if she become angry, there isn’t much of a difference between the colors, though one would notice it right away if they were to be watching.

But sometimes her feelings can get overbearing. When this happens, her ability becomes harder and harder to use. If she’s too upset, the bright colors of her hair fade back to her silver-blonde and her innocent green eyes turn to her original cold blue. For example, when Bea’s father was sent away to prison, she could no longer change any features. Though she hardly even used her ability back then, it still affected one of her sources of entertainment.

Beatrix’s Metamorph ability is more of a gift to her. She can escape if she wants to by changing into a whole different person. Change her face, body, hair, gender. She has an ability that people would kill for. The fact that she can hide herself so quickly, or transform herself into someone, means Bea has a powerful ability indeed. She chooses to use it wisely, and chooses to keep it from others. Though sometimes Bea slips up because of her feelings, she can control herself and her outstanding ability.[/list]
