[Apr 20]Requesting Assistance (Mahai Zamperia)

on June 10, 2014, 01:05:24 PM

Dear Mr. Zamperia,

My name is Elian Harris, I am a 7th year Gryffindor and I had heard from your daughter, Juni that you were an Obliviator. I had questions about the job. I have been researching what I could about Aurors, Obliviators, and Hit Wizards. The third being my preferred chose of jobs once I graduate. The other two are close behind in my interests. If it wouldn't be too much of a hassle, I would love to ask you questions about your daily work and would prefer a physical meeting. However, if this cannot be done at this time, I understand and letters will be more than sufficient.

Thank you for your time,
Elian Harris

Dear Mr. Harris,

I am welcome to any questions you have about my line of work. As you are currently in school, I believe it would be difficult for us to meet in person until after your graduation. It would be easier for us to discuss my job in person when  it is June, but I will gladly do as much as I can through letters. It is not a hassle at all.

First, I would like to know: What interests you about those three jobs?

Thank you for your inquiry.

Sincerely,

Mihai Zamperia

Dear Mr. Zamperia,

Thank you for taking time to make these correspondences. I will be making a trip to the ministry as soon as possible. I have familial issues to deal with and then I can come. I have already sent requests for all three jobs. I have always been a person who believes in the gray areas in life, but there is a line that should be drawn. It is important to keep the peace and justice, though both of those I believe are in constant flux as any ideal.

In the chance of sounding like a star struck child, I have always wanted to work in these fields because I think that there are those who need to be kept in checked or taken out of power. I also believe that it is important that even though we do have muggle borns, those who don't know of magic and don't have it in their families should be kept in the dark.  I believe that it is a necessity because it would cause massive chaos as those who don't understand would be quick to judge and make irrational decisions out of fear.

Thank you,

Elian Harris.

Dear Mr. Harris,

I hope your familial issues are dealt with soon. They can be frustrating.

I believe it is important for you to know that any one of these jobs comes with rigorous training. It's okay to start training for one and figure out that it's not a good fit. You are still young and you have time to figure out which direction you want your life to go in. Changing your plan while you're young is normal. No one should have to decide what they're doing when they're forty years old,  while they're still a teenager.

I did not start out as an obliviator, but I had previous training from a different job outside of the country. I was able to pass the test and become an obliviator. Usually that takes years of training, so don't feel discouraged if you feel behind. I encourage you to do what matters to you. It will make you happier than anything you feel like you're 'supposed' to do.

Sincerely,

Mihai Zamperia
