[Apr 3 - ] For the Students [Maiko] on March 03, 2014, 01:37:47 PM April 2nd 2010Dear Maiko Biladeau-Yukawa,This is Maxwell Macduff. Remember that charming Hufflepuff a few years below you? Of course you do! It's been quite some time, but I hope you've been doing well these last few years. Allow me to offer a belated congratulations for landing a position at the school. My work in Magizoology has taken me all over the globe, but I've recently returned to Europe to settle down. Reminiscing aside, I am contacting you as the Hogwarts Counselor for 'business/professional' purposes. This is in regards to the upcoming career counselling (it's around that time, isn't it?). I'm looking for any promising students with an interest in Magizoology to intern at the Magizoo Project this summer. In our time, I recall we did counselling and pamphlets, so I can have pamphlets prepared and sent if that's all you need. If there's more to it now, please let me know.I look forward to hearing back from you.Warm regards,Maxwell Macduff Skip to next post Re: [Apr 3 - ] For the Students [Maiko] Reply #1 on March 05, 2014, 12:13:06 AM Attached to the letter, is a pamphlet with information about Hogwarts’career dayApril 3, 2010Dear Maxwell, How could I forget a fellow badger? Were you really a few years behind me? I’ve always remembered you being close to my age! Nevermind that, I am thrilled to hear from you. It's been a long time.Back to business. It's time to put on my 'professional hat.'You’re correct, career counseling is coming up soon. I would love to accept some pamphlets. I can keep them both in my office and around the school for interested students—I will ask the Care of Magical Creatures professor if she could keep some pamphlets in her class as well. But wait! There’s more!On the 23rd of this month, is Career Day. There will be multiple professionals of the wizarding community gathered on campus to provide information about their careers to students. There will be panels as well as booth set ups for more casual, relaxed interactions with the students. Would you be interested in participating? I was Class of '01, but you graduated in 2000, right?Career Day sounds like a wonderful opportunity! After reading through the pamphlet, I'll gladly volunteer to attend. It'd be great to see the castle again, but I'm looking forward to the prospect of meeting some students who're interested in working with creatures. I wish this was around in our day - it would've made things a lot easier after school. That said, do you think I could get away with bringing along a few friends of mine? I can guarantee that the few creatures I have in mind are on the safe side, though I will gladly prepare a small list if you - or the Headmistress - needs reassurance.Thank you for informing me of the opportunity. If there's anything else I can do, just let me know and I'll be at your service!Sincerely,Maxwell Macduff Skip to next post Re: [Apr 3 - ] For the Students [Maiko] Reply #3 on March 11, 2014, 05:47:00 PM Dear Maxwell, magizoologist extraordinaire,I knew I wasn’t that old! Yes, I was the class of 2000. I do hope things are going well for you! So many people we graduated with have already started families of their own. Time goes by so quickly! Thank you kindly for the pamphlets. I will make sure that they are put to good use.We would be honored to have you participate in the career fair. It is an extremely important event—and a wonderful opportunity for students to figure out which direction they would like to go in life. Many do not know just how many opportunities are available to them. Your presence could very well set our students on the magizoology track! As far as bringing some of your critters to the fair, I would like to run this by the Headmistress. If you could send a list of the creatures you have in mind, I could give you a definitive answer.
