Hogwarts Horrors! Letters to the Editor
7 April 2010

Keep Our Students Safe
Dear Hogwarts Staff,
After hearing from my daughter that Dementors had attacked her fellow students, I could not hestite to express my horror that this could happen.  Why wasn't Hogwarts more prepared when the news has been filled with threats? Why is my daughter afraid to walk to Herbology class?  I implore the Hogwarts staff to shut the students inside and keep our students safe until the Minstry gets off its aristocratic duff and handles this!

Hogwarts Hubbub
Dear Daily Prophet Readers,
Do you not remember your history lessons? Or if you're old enough, have you honestly forgotten the Battle of Hogwarts when the castle was laid siege by giants and trolls? Well, let me refresh your memory - the castle stood! So stop your hand-writing and practice your Patronus Charm!

Express Escort
I demand to know the security measure for students returning to Hogwarts after the holiday - will there be Auror escorts from Hogsmeade Station to the castle? Perhaps the Anti-Apparition Jinx can be lifted for the day?  I also hope Hogwarts will consider allowing parents to come to Hogwarts for the duration of the term to ensure our students' continued living.

Mandatory Self Defense Training
Hogwarts should be acting immediately to train all her students in practical magical self defense.  Not only against Dementors, but against centaurs and goblins who would surely take this opportunity to exploit a distracted and fearful magical population.  I recommend the Pressure Point Jinx, Hex to the Nuts, and the Patronus Charm.

Terror From Within
Dear Fellow Hogwarts Parents,
Why have we forgotten about the threat to our children from within? I have it on good authority that the Daily Prophet has been hiding the fact that there are two werewolf professors at Hogwarts in addition to three students.  Where's the outrage? Remove heads from behind and write to the Hogwarts School Governors.
