As quietly as she could without catching anyone's attention, a small figure made her way out of the castle and towards the forest.  Wynter knew that if she was caught by a professor she would be in deep trouble, but the lure of finding creatures in the forest she'd only read about was too strong. She stopped at the edge of the forest, looking at how little light was actually making it's way through the trees and almost reconsidered.

Sitting down on a rock, she caught her breath after having ran most of the way down to the forest.  Wynter would love to see anything really, but she most wanted to spot a unicorn.  She had read everything she could lay her small hands on about them.  She knew that they were most likely to come up to girls rather than boys and that made her even more excited.  As her breath came back and her heart rate slowed down, she began to chew her lip.

"I wonder if I could get close enough to a unicorn in there," Wynter wondered out loud, not caring if anyone was around to hear her.  She didn't think there was though.  Getting up from the rock she had been sitting on, she moved cautiously towards the edge of the forest and then stopped, as if her body was telling her it was a bad idea.  She was wrestling with her mind, one part said that it would be fun to go into the forest, the other part was telling her that she'd lose a lot of points and have to sit through detention if she was caught.  So she just stood there, gazing into the forest, while trying to make up her mind.
