A letter arrives at Wonderland in Knockturn Ally with a dubious return address.  Azkaban Prison.  Upon opening, it's clear that the letter has already read by more than its writer - there is a stamp marking it SPELL-CHECKED and CLEARED FOR DELIVERY. The handwriting is more or less neat and clean, in a personal script made up mostly of tidy, even capital letters.

You may already know me by my spouse or reputation for blowing up the Black Chimaera, but my name is Nathan Briggs.  Shortly, I'll be through here and will need to establish employment soon.  There likely isn't much I can tell you that would make up for writing you from prison, but I can assure you I'm clever enough and motivated enough not to ruin my life once more. 

I've experience in a potions shop, but please don't ask Zelda Sellaphix about that.  That would be fun for none of us.

I'm being released on the 16th of this month.  Perhaps you could spare a response before then.

So you're finally getting out, eh? Fancy that. Be nice to see you're little face round these parts again, think Daz's been going stir crazy without you. Though don't take my word on it, we haven't talk in almost a year now.

I could use a pair of strong hands around the shop and the whole wolf thing can turn off customers, though not sure how well an Ex-Azzie will go over but I'll take my chances. Been taking on more than I can chew lately and to be honest I could use the help. Hunter used to brew at the shop for a bit but I haven't seen him around lately either.

No worries, I don't plan on mixing with Mrs. Sellaphix, that woman's scary.

Drop by when you get out and I can set you up, so long as your Wife doesn't come after me, think she's got it in her head that we're in some sort of competition now. Who knows.

All that sounds good to me.  Heavy lifting, providing a pretty face, deliveries - well qualified in all areas. 

It's a final indignity, but you've got to fill out this paperwork so they believe me when I say I've got my affairs in order to return to civilization.  Although Knockturn is perhaps their leave favorite avenue.
