Isaac sat behind the familiar old desk of his old classroom as the N.E.W.T.s students began to file in for class.  He had skipped breakfast that morning, wanting to make sure everything in the classroom was to his liking for his first day back at Hogwarts.  It felt strange to be back behind the desk as a professor and at the same time the most natural thing in the world.  He had missed the castle, the staff, and, most of all, the students.

He sat at the desk making a few final notes on his lesson plans, looking up from time to time as the students settled, regarding him.  Surely there had been rumors that he was returning, but he wasn't sure if there had been any sort of official announcement.  Hopefully it would be a relatively easy transition for the students, but he was sure a certain amount of adjustment would have to take place, just as it did when he left the school to try to make his way at the Ministry.

Glancing at the clock he knew he had a few moments before the 8am start time, and he continued to put the final touches on the presentation, one that would be fitting for the day (or so he hoped).

OOC: I'll give everyone about two weeks or so (around Jan 29th) to post their first response.  After that we'll be starting a class on April Fools.

Sasha had been both surprised and relieved to hear Professor Frasier had returned to Hogwarts.  While Sasha was not one to claim to dislike a professor, Professor Santucci's academic approach to Muggle Studies had not been among his favorite.  They'd spent far too many classes discussing the various styles of popular teenage clothing, completely ignoring or dismissing the fact there were teenagers out there who wore blazers and tailored slacks.

Thankfully, Professor Frasier had covered all the basic muggle stereotypes in their early years and had sense moved on to more complex and challenging topics.  He hoped the trend would continue now that Professor Frasier had returned to Hogwarts.

"Morning, sir.  We're glad to have you back." Sasha offered in greeting as he took his usual seat in the front by the window.  He removed his writing supplies and arranged them carefully on the desk in front of him.  Despite being among the more studious students of his year, even Sasha was finding it hard to ignore the fact that spring break was only a day away.  All the N.E.W.T. students were looking forward to the long break and they all needed it.

Peyton woke up that morning feeling refreshed and energized. He had been excited for the rumors that Professor Frasier was returning to Hogwarts and he was eager to discover if they were true or not. Not only did he really enjoy Muggle Studies, it was one of the few subjects he could be really good at without the usual headache inducing effort, but he also genuinely enjoyed the Professor's company and style of teaching (he supposed it also helped that Frasier was the best looking Professor he'd ever had during his six years at Hogwarts)

As he entered the class a beaming smile split his lips, the rumors were true and this was shaping up to be a great day. Instead of taking his usual seat near Sasha Peyton walked up to the desk at the front of the room and placed down a balled up napkin that was obviously swiped from the Great Hall, "Didn't see you at Breakfast, thought you might need this," the wrapping was coming lose and a bit of apple and croissant was visible inside the crude package. Peyton gave a nod and a smile and went to leave before turning back, "Oh and, welcome back Professor."

He left the front of the class and took his seat next to his dorm mate, as he was bent over his book bag to remove his quill and parchment he whispered, "Please tell me I wasn't blushing."
