Physical Description:
Audrey stands at 5'9 in height, with fair skin that bronzes easily in the sun and very blonde hair. Her younger brother teases her, and calls her a 'banana blonde' because to him, her hair is very nearly the same color as the fruit, just less saturated. It's rather straight hair, with very little natural wave.  She's quite slender with angular joints and slightly-larger-than-average feet.

Her face is oval in shape, with large hazel eyes that are usually slightly squinted in judgement. Audrey's mouth is wide, with her upper lip being ever so slightly fuller than her bottom one. Her two front teeth are a bit large and rabbit-like, but almost endearing. Her eyebrows are unnaturally arched, and she takes great care to make sure that she's properly groomed and presentable.

Her body language is rigid, closed off, and stiff-- she walks with purpose. If it weren't for her veela charm, she'd be anything but approachable.  She's rather sensitive about the ethereal beauty that being a half-veela has given her, and would much rather be without it. It's given her much more trouble than it's worth.  Nothing ignites her temper more than a stranger commenting on her physical attractiveness. She prefers to be complimented on her skill or personal character traits, not her looks.

Personality Description:
Audrey doesn't care for small talk or polite niceties, though she forces it when she is at work. She can be rather cold and abrasive, even to people she loves and cares about. Though, the ones who have wiggled their way to her heart get to see the warm side of her that she keeps deeply hidden. She's rather creative, and spends much of her time sketching and painting when she's not working.

She has a fearsome temper-- and it is a defensive mechanism. She is quick to judge and criticize anyone, but not more than she criticizes herself. She is anxious around others, and does her best to drive them away before they can get in a position to hurt her.

Audrey is a loving, but strict mother. She absolutely dotes on her son, and believes that raising him is the best thing she's ever done with her life. She is protective of her family, and although she does lose her temper at them-- if anyone else were to, she'd not take it well.

She's always been ambitious, independent, resourceful, and self-preserving. Audrey is also impulsive, impatient, and mercurial. She's difficult to get along with, but once you're in her good graces, she is a loyal friend. When she is able to let her guard completely down, she's easy to laugh and quick to smile-- but that doesn't happen often. With those she loves and cares about, she can actually be thoughtful and sweet. ('Can' being the key word)

History:
Audrey was born on April 1, 1979 as the firstborn child of Ianto and Ruzena Hughes. She grew up loved and cherished, and her earliest memories are of her playing in her father's greenhouse, waving a giant leaf at her infant brother's face. She grew up around plants, and has a natural affinity for herbology, though she never was passionate about it in the way that her father and younger brother were-- which was a big disappointment to Ianto, though he never showed it.

Instead, her focus, from a very young age, was making things with her hands. Figures with clay, pictures with paint, and even (To her mother's frustration), doodling on the walls. She got her first camera for her tenth birthday, and was from then on, snapping pictures of anything that inspired her. Many family photos do not have her in them, as she was often the person behind the camera.

When she was eleven years old, she was sent to Hogwarts and placed into Slytherin. Her veela charm brought her a lot of unwanted attention, and it made her nervous that people only wanted to be around her because of the charm, not because of any of her internal qualities. She began questioning her friendships, wondering if they were only superficial-- and many were.  When she was 14, her parents gave birth to a little sister.

Her self-confidence dropped, and she became reclusive and had a tendency to lash out at others, sometimes violently. In her fifth year, her parents realized that enough was enough, and such a large school environment wasn't what was best for her.  She was homeschooled and tutored from then on, taking NEWT exams when she was 17.  She received O's in Potions and Herbology, an E in Care of Magical Creatures,  but nothing higher than an A in the rest of her tested subjects.

After her NEWTs were over, she tried her hand at travelling and specifically, getting to know muggles. She briefly dated a muggle man, though that relationship didn't last long. She discovered, after they were broken up, that she was pregnant. As the father was a muggle, and she was a witch, it was likely her unborn son would be a wizard. Instead of turning the muggle's life upside down, she decided to raise her son as a single mother, with the help of her parents.

Linus was born when she was only nineteen years old. They lived with her parents for five years, while she worked as a freelance photographer to bring in money until she eventually opened up her own studio. It wasn't long after that that she took a loan out on a small cottage in Hogsmeade, close to where she worked.

For the past six years, she has been working as a photographer/business owner, taking pictures for advertisements, family photos, special events and whatever else her clients want and wherever she can get business-- including crime scenes and photos for the Daily Prophet.

Describe your job duties and how you go about them:
Audrey owns her own photography studio in Hogsmeade. She takes pictures for large events (weddings, parties), family photos, and whatever else her clients want. It's rather difficult, running the business by herself, but she manages.

Audrey is temperamental, volatile, and sometimes downright hostile. She keeps people at a distance, though the lucky few who have gotten past those walls get to see the goodness and compassion within. She is creative and ambitious, and a caring mother, sister, and daughter.
