    Physical Description:
Ainsley is an average height of 5, 5 feet and would have been scrawny if it wasn't because of her job as an Auror, which require her to be physically fit. Her eyes are brown and round and that makes her look very innocent. Her hair is also brown and she almost always wears it in a bun on the back of her head.
Ainsley prefers to wear sensible, dark coloured garments, to better blend in the crowd. Her clothes is always neat, as is her hairdo; there is not a strain of hair out of place nor a speck of mud on her clothes.

    Personality Description:
Ainsley can be hard to describe, as she acts very differently depending on where she is. When she is working she is very calm and thoughtful. She prefers to stop and analyse the situation before she does anything rash; this has caused some problems, as it is important for an Auror to be able to react lightning-quick, and not need to consider the pros and cons of the situation. It can also be a blessing though, as she is very strategic and if she is ever captured she is quick to analyse the situation and find a way out of the frying pan.
Ainsley is rather perfectionistic in all aspects of her life; she cannot leave anything half-finished, and if she gets a complicated case she will sometimes stay awake days on end to solve it. This has also caused numerous problems, as she will eventually burn out no matter how many energy potions she drinks.
When she is not working Ainsley is much more easy-going. She is very friendly, but because of her rather stressful job she prefers to keep her life as drama-free as possible; this causes some issues as she has a very hard time letting people under her skin. She may seem pleasant and sociable and she loves to meet new people, but it is only a selected few who knows the real Ainsley.
Ainsley is Muggle-born and she often visits her family in the non-magical world. Because of this she is still a big part of the Muggle-world and has preserved some of her old friendships with the Muggles she grew up with. Ainsley’s sister just had her first child, and that has made Ainsley think about starting her own family; but her job and the fact that she hasn’t been in a relationship for more than five months, has forced herself to put the thoughts of family on hold.

    History:
Ainsley was born in London, to Ryan and Catherine O’Neal. Ryan was a police officer and Catherine a doctor. When Ainsley got the letter from Hogwarts her parents had been rather sceptic to say the least, and it took the sight of a floating teacup, courtesy of a witch send to convince Mr and Mrs O’Neal, to actually make them believe in magic.
When Ainsley went to Hogwarts she was put in Ravenclaw, and spent five unremarkable years studying tenaciously. Ever since she had been sentient her mother had indoctrinated her in all things medical, in the hopes of her oldest daughter would follow in her footsteps.
Trouble started in her sixth year, when Voldemort rose to power. It was only because of the help from three other Muggle-born students she avoided being taken by the Snatchers and sent to Azkaban or killed. They fled together and spend most of the year in hiding, constantly dodging Snatchers and Death Eaters. In March one of the people she escaped with told them that he had been called back to Hogwarts. Ainsley followed him and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts.
She returned to Hogwarts to complete her sixth and seventh year, and immediately moved on to train to become a healer. She worked on the fourth floor for six years, until she just couldn’t do the same thing anymore. Ainsley, who’d always though she was meant to be a Healer, suddenly didn’t know what to do. And then she remembered the months on the run and the Battle of Hogwarts. She promptly gave her letter of resignation, and after two months she started as an Auror Trainee. She completed her three years of training and had just been promoted to a full-fledged Auror, as she was put in St. Mungo’s for almost two months. She was helping a fellow Auror apprehend a suspected WBA member when she was hit by a curse and fell into a coma for almost three weeks. She then had to spend two months on the same floor of St. Mungo’s she had worked on, before she could be cleared. Luckily the curse did not do any lasting damage.

Describe your job duties and how you go about them:
Ainsley may be an Auror, but not a typical one. She likes to have the upper hand and relies more on strategy and complex spells than brute force. She is quick to analyse a situation though, and have an aptitude for finding a way out of hopeless situations. Being a perfectionist Ainsley leaves nothing half assed and even her paperwork is thorough; some of the older Aurors take advantage of this and she has written more than a few of their reports.
Being a former Healer is also a major convenience, as if anyone gets hurt while working in the field, she knows what to do.

Elaborate on your expertise in your field:
Because of Ainsley’s past as a Healer she excels in Poisons and Antidotes. She has spent months hiding from Snatchers and Death Eaters, so she is more than capable in Concealment and Disguise, too. Ainsley is still trying to find herself, having only been a full-fledged Auror since January, 2010.

    Writing Sample:
‘I thought you loved being a doctor,’ Paula said, sipping her mint tea. They were sitting in a cramped London apartment. Outside an ambulance passed by and made the windows rattle.
‘You and me both. But I dunno, lately I’ve just felt … stuck, you know?’ Ainsley said, looking at her oldest friend. Paula was a Muggle and Ainsley had told her she was a doctor working at St. Bartholomew’s. Ainsley did not like lying to her friend like that, but it was far easier than trying to explain the magical world, not to say more legal.
‘What’re you going to do now? In all the time I’ve known you all you ever wanted to be was a doctor.’ Ainsley purposely avoided her friend’s eyes and instead stared intently at an old grandfather clock. It was the only thing in the room not bought from Ikea or some other generic store.
‘I dunno yet. I haven’t even told my parents yet. Oh god, mum will be furious!’ Ainsley groaned and hid her face in her hands. Her mother was felt like it was her business to pry in her children’s lives.
‘Yeah, your mum can be kind of-‘
‘Bossy? Manipulative? Insane?’ Ainsley peeked out between her fingers, a smile evident in her eyes. It was true, though; her mother had a reputation of being rather meddlesome.
‘Concerned,’ Paula said in a stern voice, a soft smile giving her away.
‘Yeah yeah, as you say. I’m getting coffee, you want some?’ Ainsley rose from the comfortable sofa.
Paula waved her half-full cup of tea around in response, and Ainsley went to the kitchen to get a single cup of coffee, contemplating not telling her mother of her impending career change.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
Ainsley is strategic and calculated, and because of this she is good to have as backup. She is very analytical and her background as Healer makes her valuable as she can help wounded and the likes. These qualities can also be found in her personal life, where her perfectionism and need to have a plan makes it difficult to get close to her.
