12", Walnut Wood, Unicorn Tail hair, bendy with a smooth shaft.

Rosie's long, vibrant strawberry-blonde hair is the first thing one might notice about her. Because, otherwise, she lacks in stature, standing at only 16o centimeters. She's been taught to cover the fact by wearing heels, however. She's not fond of them, but they're habit now.

While petite, her face is a cumulative of sharp contrasts, with big, long lashed hazel eyes, a harsh jaw-line and high cheekbones, but a small, button-like nose, and plump, softly defined lips. As a child she was rather clumsy, walking unsurely with her back hunched and her toes pointing inwards. However, being a Carstairs and also a Morgan, meant that wasn't acceptable. So now, she walks slowly, with her back straight and small, calculated steps. Still... she never quite managed the head held high pose.

She's usually soft-spoken, but would never say no to a hearty laugh. Rosie's also a very tactile person, much to the chagrin of her parents. She likes human contact, it reassures her and also, hopes, reassures those around her. It was also cause for some awkward interactions, tho. Not on her part, but her conversation partners', mostly.

She's never given much thought to her clothes, but being who she is, she had no choice but to maintain the image of her family. Her elder sister usually decides on everything she wears, most everything she owns having been bought with her assistance. It's usually classy, expensive, but nothing that actually has personality. Nothing, that's really Rosie.

Rosamund's often been called too trusting, too gentle, too sweet, too sensible...  too naïve. But, just because she chooses to see the best in people, just because she faces everybody with a smile or turns the other cheek, just because she trusts there's good in everyone and everything, does not, by no means, translate to being guileless.

She's a humble, genuinely good person that was never comfortable with her own status. Pureblooded, rich, an old family name, they never much mattered to her. On the contrary, they only caused her grief whenever she'd be faced with other people of lesser means, only serving to remind her that she could do with so much less. Despite her gentle nature, tho, she's not exactly shy. She has really strong beliefs and emotions, and can be quite protective of said set of morals when the situation demands. On the other hand, while she's a people-person, loving all creatures alike, she does not have a hoard of friends. Most of it, due to the fact that almost her entire free time is spent experimenting, studying and generally enriching her knowledge. She'll be there if you need here, even if you're a stranger, she'll listen and comfort you or advise you, regardless of who you are or when you need it.

She finds immense joy in knowledge, reading, inventing, creating, calculating... everything that keeps her mind engaged. She has always had an uncommon thirst for knowledge and a great mind, causing her to seem a bit of an oddball. Oftentimes, in the most inopportune moments, genius would strike and she'd stop whatever she was doing to take down notes on whatever surface was closest—be it a napkin, the back of her hand or an opera program, to the horror of her parents.

On the other hand, there's also a darkness to her. She loves her family more than anything, but her mother and father have always made her feel left out, focusing on her elder sister. And while with her sister she keeps a strong, deep bond, she still craves for the appreciation, trust and love of her parents. Betraying her more than once, will cause to cease all contact with you, going as far as refusing to acknowledge your presence anymore.

Born to Briallen Carstairs née Morgan and Alphonse Carstairs, Lyra, as she's called by her father or Sioned, her mother, has had a fairly normal childhood. If a bit lonely. Her parents' focus had always been Rhiannon, her older sister, so she'd been left alone most of the time. She was a curious child, always on with the whys and whats, but there wasn't always anyone there to answer them. So she read a lot, explored the lands surrounding the manor or played with her many, many cousins.

It wasn't necessarily that her parents completely ignored her, but while Rhiannon got a "Well done, darling" or "That's my girl" whenever she succeeded, Rosie only got a distracted "That's nice, dear" or, simply an acknowledging nod. If it were anyone but Rosamund, perhaps she would've grown up bitter and insecure, but Rosie made the best of it. While some children may be the black sheep of the family, Rosie became the white one in a family of black sheep. Her parents, some of her extended family and even Rhia, are all jaded, distrustful, apathetic to the joys of life and own a very peculiar set of morals, but Rosamund somehow managed to fall furthest from the tree.

She remained obedient and smiling, and continuously tried to grasp the attention of her parents. That is, until she finally received her letter from Hogwarts. Sure, she still aimed to please them, but it wasn't the sole focus of her life anymore, because who could even have time for that with all the fascinating classes, new people and the amazing library? She adapted quickly to life in the castle, having grown up with stories of her sister's and being a genuinely open, friendly person.

Coming back home each summer, she was a bit wiser, a bit less affected by her parents' indifference, but still, deep down, craved the affection. Regardless, each year away from home was another year in which she became more and more her own person, with her own dreams and her own moral compass, straying further and further away from the family values she had been expected to embrace.

In the year attending school, she's made a few friends and got closer to her Hogwarts-attending relatives, growing to care deeply for them, worrying more about them than herself and constantly attempting to make sure they are all right. She is diligent in her class work, always going the extra-mile, asking for more reading material and genuinely fascinated by everything she studies.

She doesn't have any grand dreams, she wants to learn everything she possibly can about the subjects that truly challenge her mind and maybe teach, sometime in the future. Because of her nature, she's gotten her heart broken and expectations trampled over quite a few times, but she never let it get her down. She's anxious to finish Hogwarts at the top of her class, so maybe she would finally get the appreciation she deserves from her parents. But, mostly, so she can finally go her own way, sit down and have a talk with herself about what she really wants from life.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?:
On her mother's side of the family, most everyone has been sorted into Slytherin. But everyone, including her own mother, knew Rosamund will never, ever be a Slytherin. But that was okay, because they had Rhia in Slytherin. Which left her father—most of them Slytherins and the odd Ravenclaw.

Rosie always loved turning any experience into a way to learn something new. Reading, studying, experimenting always brought her joy. Despite that, however, the Hat had been adamant about placing her in Hufflepuff. But she knew, she knew... It would completely and utterly disappoint her parents. So she begged the Hat to place her in Ravenclaw. And it did.

It may not be the best fit, but it's been more of a home to her, than her own.

Rosie is an intelligent, caring and gentle young girl, at odds with her more manipulative and distrustful family. Trusting, sweet and genuinely nice, she is nevertheless a force not to be trifled with the second you have betrayed her trust one too many times. Desperate not to disappoint, she was placed in Ravenclaw, but despite her love of studying and her joy of learning, she lacks the wit and harsh realistic views of the world she feels her housemates have.
