[March 12] Spell Fights #1 on October 26, 2013, 10:42:21 AM ((OOC: First thread under this thread planning topic. Even if you haven't posted there feel free to post here))EveningThings hadn't merely progressed so much as they had exploded.To those in the know in the student body they would find a set of heavy doors on the seventh floor that weren't usually there.[1] These doors opened to a high vaulted room, much higher that would be suggested on this top level of the castle. But not only the size of the room was shocking, there was the drive of music[2] that wasn't heard outside in the hall because of soundproofing methods.There were tall stained glass windows, the wizarding kind of glass that flexed and glowed regardless of the light outside. Each window alternated in pattern with an immense stone pillar. Below these were red couches built into the wall. Though occasionally, on the blank wall or column there was a shifting figure, a scribble of tagged paint that would scurry off to elsewhere, nothing of particularly advanced artistic skill.The music was blaring from one corner, a record player with tall elaborate speakers and many more records on shelves. On the opposite side of the door from that was a bar counter, conveniently stocked with soft beverages like Butterbeer, Bubble Juice and an overabundance of ginger beer, the kinds of things the Room of Requirement couldn't produce on its own.The center of the room had the foot raised stage, a narrowed platform flanked by spell worn battle dummies. Though currently there were magically driven lights spinning over it in time with the music. There were scattered students about (no doubts the Mastiff brothers were up to something inappropriate), some catching onto the infectious energy of the room. Though while the room seemed built to party, everyone who was there knew exactly what they were waiting to see.Spell fights!((This is a setting post, so feel free to engage in whatever activity you want before the battles begin.
