Need a bully?

on October 05, 2013, 07:11:18 PM

HI GUYS.

So here I have Erin Harper, whom I have been badly neglecting. He's a hot-tempered sullen kind of bloke, not terribly bright, with a history of trouble and being really, really easy to set off. He's been lying low since he got the position of Slytherin Quidditch captain, making this year an exercise in patience and self-control.

Unfortunately, he's not very good at patience and self-control. He got into a fight, his Head of House took the position away from him, and now he's pissed off with nothing to lose.

SO. HERE'S THE SHIMMY.

Erin is very angry and very upset. He's going to start acting out again, and his hair-trigger temper is even hotter than usual. Bullying, disrupting class, you name it, he'll do it. Previous friends aren't an exception to this - his fellow Slytherins are probably going to find him unbearable for a while. Want someone to torment your student? To backtalk your professor? I'm not looking for anything in particular but am eager to get him in play again.  ;D

Gertie would probably be a tempting morsel for Erin to torment. She's a happy go lucky little hufflepuff who thinks there is good in everyone and is willing to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I could picture her smiling at Erin and give him a flower just because she was carrying them and he looks like the sort that needs cheering up.

Besides her personality making her a good target, her Uncle is a known child murderer who just escaped from the mental ward in St. Mungo's s. Also, her older sister is Angie Lemon, Hufflepuff Qudditch captain...so there might be some resentment coming from that department. Gertie doesn't play qudditch but it isn't a secret that her older sister is very protective of Gertie and would be upset if something happened to her.

If you want Erin to push a few of Lovella's buttons that's fine by me. Just know that she might respond incredibly violently also. Given how impatient he is and how calm she is it could be interesting. They're in the same house too so if you want we could thread in the common room.

He can try his hand at disrupting Ezia's classes if he takes Potions? But there will definitely be repercussions... Of the point deduction and detention variety... But there's nothing that makes me happier than class disruptions. <3

There's also Bran, but tbh, I think Bran would just pinch Erin's cheek and go you're adorable... then slap his arse. >.>"

Serenity is also being offered up to be bullied. She hides behind her hair, she's a half-blood, her family is dirt poor, and her muggle dad was turned into a werewolf during last year's werewolf attacks in Diagon Alley. She's not brave enough to stand up for herself against a Slytherin 6th year.

And you know Bellatrix Dark is always a challenge to deal with. Here lately, she's been through a lot because Beatrix quit Hogwarts and disappeared and some terrible rumors are running around. She's been up in the girls' dorms crying since Christmas break and was likely also kicked off the Quidditch team. She's not jinx-happy or fiesty anymore
(doesn't even draw her wand unless instructed to in class) which would make her an excellent target for Harper's anger.

Just to pop in - there would definitely be some feedback from Angie if her baby sister got pushed around. Prepare yourself for a five foot tall little ball of fury if you mess with her sister.

;)

Jenn: Gertie doesn't seem like the type to set Erin off enough to get him to physical violence, but I can definitely see him snarling at her because he knows her older sister is the Hufflepuff Quidditch captain. I can start a thread for the two of them in the next couple of days - just a random encounter kinda thing - and we can see what happens if that sounds good to you. :)

Love: This sounds perfect and amazing and I'd love to have a mutual fight. I just see this terrible escalation of violence in the common room - and maybe we could get some other Slytherin students to step in to stop it?

Amara: I can definitely have him start something in Ezia's class. >:3

If Bran slapped his arse I'm pretty sure Erin would beat him into the ground. He's still very sensitive about his relationship with a bloke last year and would not take well to what he'd perceive as Bran making fun of him or hitting on him.

Nina: Exxxcellent. Erin's probably counting on that.

The only character I have to offer is Jordyn, but if Erin feels like he could/would want to, Jordyn lost her prefect title after getting sick earlier in the year, and it could be the sort of thing that he'd lash out at someone else because something similar happened to him.

Otherwise, Jordyn would probably be very happy to tell him off during classes they have together, being made fun of or not.

((more Hufflepuffs for the slaughter why am I so evil))

Obderedria is good bully fodder. Oh, ooo ooo, if Erin is still sore over Quidditch there is the suddenly successful flying fish Seeker Helio who has been annoying him over the last year's Quidditch happenings :P

I could see a two for the price of one effect, Erin trying to bully one of them with the other failing to help.

((please stop me before Philo gets in there))

But the torment can be whatever you want.

Chloe's had a crush on him for a while, and odds are by now, her diary has begun to be leaked through the Slytherin house...

So, if you'd like an awkward, and/or embarrassing thread with Chloe, have at it. She'd be mortified.

I made threads for Gertie and Lovella! You two let me know if anything needs changing, including the date or the location... Gertie's and Lovella's.

Jessica: He actually might be less grumpy at Jordyn given that she's gone through something similar to him. But I'd love for her to be sassy at him in class. That Jordyn. So sassy and sensible. ;3

Will: I can definitely see him getting annoyed at Heliotrope, esp. given his past experiences with her being a pest on the Quidditch field. She would probably confuse him. Erin hates being confused. I'd enjoy a thread with both Helio and Obderedria, actually - two for one like you said.

Alice: Erin is reeaaallly baaaad with romantic things. If he's heard the rumors, it would be in the form of his fellow Slytherins teasing him, and he probably reacted more to the mocking than the news that Chloe fancied him. Threading them together will be delightfully awkward because Erin doesn't really like anyone right now and Chloe's still a Quidditch Captain so he should hate her for that but she's also very pretty and fancies him? Whaaaat? etc etc

I think we should go for it.  ;D

She would be mortified. We just need some situation where they'd be stuck together, and allow that awkwardness to happen. What about a practical joke? Someone locking the two of them in a closet, or something small? Forcing them to converse and figure a way out?

I don't know, my brain is like, drained at this point. Let me know what you think.

OMG SHANA I DIDN'T SEE YOUR POST AND SOMEONE JUST POINTED IT OUT TO ME AND AHHHHH

I'M SORRYYYYYY

Please please let's have some Erin/Bella threads. That's just - I loved them and can't wait to see what they would do now. I feel like Erin would definitely attack her but be disgusted and surprised when she didn't respond, might leave her alone after that.

As for Serenity, he's less likely to actively bully a little girl. As with Gertie, if she gets in his way or annoys him he'll snap at her and scare her, but he wouldn't follow up with anything. If you want a thread where they have a one-off - she trips him up accidentally in the hallway or something - I'd be up for it! But if you want something more explosive, he's more likely to harass Bella.  ;D

Alice: Hahaha, I love it. Erin will be such a sulky terrible conversationalist. But trapped somewhere with Chloe, he can't be such a jerk. I can't think of much else right now either but I'll keep thinking on it. And if nothing else occurs to us, closet it is!

Erin and Bella were both Beaters, right? Maybe one afternoon they both have the idea go to blow off some steam at the Quidditch pitch and end up in an argument in the locker rooms. It could lead to them trying to knock each other off their broom with a bludger, but that's up to you on whether it escalates to that. Given their past and their tempers (I'm sure Erin would find a way to flare hers up again), it's in the cards for them to get violent like that. Besides, Bella in the Hospital Hut gives me a situation I've been wanting to discuss with Amberlee!
