Wand: 12 inch., Hornbeam, Dragon Heartstring. Inflexible with a Decorated Shaft

Lovella has an interesting relationship with her wand. While the Dragon Heartstring paired with its Inflexibility and Decorated Shaft greatly enhances the power of her offensive magic (particularly her curses and hexes) the Hornbeam wood has also personalized to her touch and allowed for close bonding with the girl. In a sense, her wand is the closest thing she has to an actual friend.

    Physical Description
Lovella is a classic case of someone who is very pretty, but doesn’t really care about that sort of thing. She has long, flowing, auburn hair which is usually kept either in a ponytail or a bun because she thinks it can be quite distracting. Her narrow eyes would almost be the same auburn except for a slight hint of yellow that gives her a distinct wolf-like appearance. Her skin is very pale. Slender and very tall for a girl, even when compared to boys, she stands at exactly 6’0” and weighs around 130 lb. This, combined with her fierce, no-nonsense attitude, makes her very intimidating. In addition, she also has a rather long scar that extends diagonally across her back that she usually keeps hidden beneath her robes, but is sometimes visible if she is wearing casual clothes.

    Hair Color: Bright Auburn
Eye Color: Auburn with a slight yellow tint
Build: Slender with strong bone structure
    Height: 6'0"
    Weight: 125-130
Other: Lovella has a long scar, starting from the top right of her neck and extending to the bottom left of her back from a childhood incident; caused by a knife.

    Personality
Lovella is the physical representation of the “ambitious” quality in a Slytherin. Nothing less than her best is still not good enough for her. The only thing she cares about is succeeding at everything she tries, which she usually does. Whether it be spell work, or potions she always brings her "A" game to the table. That isn't to say she's excessively talented at whatever she may be working on, but the work and dedication she puts into it always makes up for her shortcomings.

Unlike her frolicking school mates she doesn’t have time to socialize or make friends, her every waking moment is dedicated to her work and studies. Literally, Lovella dedicates all spare time to her homework and the like. Most of the time she enjoys  finding a nice quiet place to work, an empty class room or a secluded spot by the lake, but seeing as how she lives with hundreds of other people she often finds herself, to her annoyance, stuck in a room with noisy, ignorant children.

Because of her "all work and no play" attitude she doesn't really have any friends, nor does she necessarily want them. Friends are, after all, more of a con when weighed against the pros (and believe me she's weighed them all). She mainly views relationships as mere distractions from her ultimate goal of success. After she leaves Hogwarts its not like they'll do her much good anyway.

In public, Lovella comes off quite cold and domineering. Not one to mince words, she always speaks what is on her mind regardless of who it will hurt (unless it's a teacher or a person of authority, of course) because no one ever cared about hurting her. When she speaks it's almost as if a dementor has entered the room; her sharp, clipped words almost always come of frigid and uncaring. And don't try hurting her back because it won't work. Lovella closed herself off to feeling long ago.

That isn't to say, however, that she goes around looking for fights. Indeed, when she isn't being interrupted or disrupted by other students she tends to be generally fair minded, not caring much about what everyone else is doing, and also not in the mood to tell someone off. In fact, if you need someone blasted with a curse just "accidentally" run them by Lovella and watch her take care of the rest. She's extremely competent in a duel, knowing a wide variety of charms, curses, hexes, jinxes, and counter-curses, and also has a disturbingly creative mind when it comes to using them. Her wand work is something she takes great pride in, and her spells are very powerful and efficient. She certainly has spent a good amount of time perfecting them that's to be sure.

On a positive note (the only positive note), unlike her fellow Slytherins, she doesn’t give a flying flip what house you’re from, what your blood status is, or what you do. Just don’t get in her way, because if you threaten her road to success in any way no matter how small, she will rip you limb from limb (ironically enough, Lovella translates to “Wolf”). When people see Lovella walking down the hall they get out of the way. She’s in no way naive. She knows what everyone says about her when she’s not in the room, knows how everyone is terrified of getting in her way, but what does that matter to Lovella. She has grown incredibly apathetic to how others perceive her because her parents never seemed to care. She is extremely self-sufficient, having learned how to feed, and care for herself without supervision by the age of eight. Emotionally, she is closed off from most feeling. As a child she never received attention nor felt love from her parents and now believes that she can go without such trivial “distractions”. Deep down, however, there is a part of her that secretly wishes to know what it would be like to have a family and friends.

Lovella is also incredibly secretive about her past and home life, and because of her cold disposition she has never become close enough to anyone to open up about anything. However, it is speculated that there was a traumatic incident sometime in her childhood.

    History

Lovella is a half-blood, descended from two muggle born parents whom she has little to no relationship with. Both of them hold high positions in the ministry, and it is Lovella’s personal ambition to one day become the Minister of Magic. Her past is not complicated. An only child, she practically raised herself because her parents were never home, but that’s only made her stronger and given her more fuel to do her very best. Of course, Lovella wasn’t always as tough and cold as she became. When she did see her parents they often ignored her or brushed her off as an annoyance. One specific time when she was six years old, her parents were entertaining for a highly influential ministry employee. When he inquired about Lovella her mother off-handedly said “Oh, that was just a little accident that happened a few years ago”. Because of her childhood Lovella has closed herself off emotionally and has striven to prove that she was not simply an “accident”. As her parents were often too busy for her she was mainly taken care of by a rather old house elf who fed and watched her. However, because of her new attitude she soon become quite capable of taking care of herself, and when she was eight, presented the old elf with a shirt unbeknownst to her parents.  Infuriated upon learning of what she had done they immediately made arrangement for Lovella to live with her aunt. Her aunt, a kind and caring woman, tried very hard to show Lovella real love and attention, but by then the damage had already been done. Now with Lovella gone at Hogwarts half the year it has become even more difficult.   Her aunt doesn't personally care if she fails, and in all honesty, it would probably be a good thing. Lovella isn’t about to see that happen though. Failing is for the weak, and there’s no room for “weak” in her schedule.

    First Time Exhibiting Magical Qualities

Secret: No one in Hogwarts has knowledge of this event

Lovella first produced magic when she was five years old. She was at home, alone as always, making her way through one of her parents magical tombs for amusement when she heard the sound of breaking glass come from downstairs. Not one to be easily scared, she went to investigate the sound on her own, assuming that some crazed bird had simply flown into a window. However, it turned out to be something much, much worse. As Lovella entered the living room she saw the broken glass on the floor, felt the breeze coming from outside, and saw the man who was standing in the middle of the room. At first it appeared that he hadn't noticed her, so she told him to leave. That was when he made the first bruises on her arms when he gripped her harshly by the sides and lifted her off the ground, laughing at the small child. In defense Lovella struck out with her foot, hitting him squarely in the chest causing him to drop her. She turned to run away, but didn't even get to the kitchen when she felt a red-hot, stinging sensation slide across her back; she fell. Behind her the man stood panting, holding a knife which was red with her blood. He laughed once more at her fragility and helplessness before advancing. That was when the room exploded.

At that moment Lovella's magical abilities manifested from her fear of the attacker, literally causing the portion of the room he was standing in to spontaneously combust. Her parents arrived home mere moments after the incident. Lovella tried to explain what had happened, but they wouldn't believe her (the man's body was never found) and instead became so angry with her for the broken window and destroyed kitchen that they hired an old house elf named Morna to care for their violent and unstable child.

To this day, Lovella carries this traumatic memory with her, fueling her belief that there is no room for the weak. She has never disclosed this to anyone, not even her aunt. In a sense, she herself is afraid to confront the memory, and she still can't remember what the man looked like.

    Time at Hogwarts
On her first year at Hogwarts Lovella soon established herself as a determined, and formidable student. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable for a first year, she was also oddly mature and put together for an eleven year old. She was also very careful when it came to understanding and forming relationships with her teachers. In her mind these relationships could greatly help her journey to success, and she was quite gifted at manipulating these connections.  On the other hand, her peers often saw her in a completely different light. Not caring about a bunch of giggling children, Lovella never paid much attention to her fellow classmates and they likewise never really associated with her… until her second year. Feeling more confident and on better footing than her first year Lovella began to show her true ambitious side. It wasn’t enough to do well in class anymore, she wanted nothing less than to be the best at everything she did even if that meant stepping on those who got in her way. This included anything from correcting others in front of class, hexing students if they sat in her seat, or harshly reprimanding those that disturbed her when she was studying; on several occasions her words have even reduced younger children to tears. Because of her actions her grades have been consistently fantastic throughout her four years at Hogwarts thus far, however her cold demeanor, and ambitious drive have led students to view her fearfully. Most greatly distrust her, and those who try talking to her are often greeted coldly.

Lovella isn't what one might call naturally gifted at any particular skill besides her near flawless spell work. However, she excels at all her classes based on hard work, extreme diligence, and an obsessive drive that often scares or intimidates other students and even her teachers.

    Favorite Spells
Lovella is a frequent user of hexes and curses, having sent her fair share of students to the hospital wing. She has been known to frequently use Angustio and Strangulo hexes, but has also been known to favor Ustulo and Infligo Proterex as well.  However, her signature spell is Serpensortia followed by Oppugno, which produces a rather large snake that then attacks whomever she wants. If she's feeling particularly nasty she also might throw in Geminio which multiplies the amount of snakes she can send at her target.

Offensive: Lovella is offensively inclined when she is dueling. Using such spells as Impedimenta and Incarcerous to great effect. She loves combination spells that can sometimes cinch the win for her such as her much beloved Serpensortia/ Geminio/ Oppugno combination. She is currently practicing the use of non-verbal spells also, though as she is still only a 4th year witch more advanced spells can prove difficult.

Deffensive: Just because she loves her offense doesn't mean she completely disregards a good defense. Although her defensive spells aren't quite as polished or as strong as her offensive ones she can still produce excellent shield charms as well as strengthening the durability of her surroundings.

Dueling Style: Lovella has a precise, powerful form of dueling. She enjoys misdirection, for example, using a combustion charm on a nearby object rather then the target themselves, thus confusing them with the debris and affording herself an opportunity to strike. Combinations of spells are a frequent go to for her. Occasionally she'll also use spells that aren't even considered offensive, like ventus, to help control the battlefield by distractions and illusions. Her normal array of spells like Impedementa, Confligo, Incarcerous, and etc. are sometimes expected, but still just as hard to stop due to their immense power under her focus. If she has exhausted other feasible means of securing a victory she may resort to more advanced spells like Concusso, or a Fire Whip Jynx although these spells are harder for her to use nonverbally (which she usually prefers when using all of the other spells in her arsenal).

Like a wolf, she will wait and watch before striking, sometimes even allowing her opponent to wear themselves out before actually going on the offensive, but when she does she goes for the throat. Never has she shown mercy when it comes to finishing someone off.

    Miscellaneous

Boggart: Sometimes it appears as a man wearing a cloak that covers his face, but mostly it's simply a masked man.

    Patronus: A ferocious Arctic Wolf

Twitches: When frustrated, she may begin to sway slightly in place or touch the back of her neck. If she is about to attack someone she slits her eyes and they seemingly grow just a little brighter, though this may have nothing at all to do with the actual attack.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?:
Lovella is an overly ambitious, sometimes sadistic, callous young woman. While her parents were both in the Ravenclaw house, she undeniably has the driven and cunning attitude of a Slytherin. However, she does not discriminate against those from other houses; on the contrary she discriminates only against those who stand in her way.

    Writing Sample:
Lovella strode towards her first class of the year, her polished, black heels clipping against the stone floor, auburn hair tied into a tight bun against the back of her head, a book bag strapped to her side, her unnaturally tall figure held in perfect posture, carrying her usual air of importance and authority.  An unfortunate first year caught in her path was mercifully saved from being trampled by a Ravenclaw who pulled the girl out of the way just in time. Lovella didn’t hesitate for a moment, nor stopped to ask if the child was alright. She should learn her place like everyone else had. There wouldn’t always be a Ravenclaw around to pull her out of the way.

The door of the class room swung open with a rush of wind that announced her entrance. All eyes swung towards the tall, composed Slytherin, no one speaking as she walked purposefully to the front row, and over to the middle seat. Anyone who knew anything about anything knew that the middle seat of the front row was Lovella’s seat. It practically had her name stamped all over it in bright, glowing green letters. That was why the other students exchanged looks of terror and anticipation when she approached the already occupied desk. Occupied by an innocently, ignorant Gryffindor boy. He didn’t notice her until she was literally standing a few inches to his left, giving him a look with those sharp auburn eyes that would scare the scales off a dragon. The boy turned to look at her casually.

“Uh… Can I help you?” He said.

“You’re in my seat.” Her words were cold, and clipped, and although they were few, they carried a certain authority with them.

    “Sorry?” He looked genuinely confused.

“That’s my seat.” She repeated. This time several students around the desk scooted away cautiously.

“I’m sorry, but… I’m already sitting here.” He chuckled awkwardly and looked around the room. No one joined him. Lovella stepped closer, towering over the student. In fact, if she hadn’t been wearing the classic green robes of Slytherin house one might have mistaken her for the professor.

“I realize this is a rather hard concept for your presumably miniscule brain to comprehend,” She began her words turning harsh, “so let me lay it out for you simply. The middle seat of the front row is where I sit. It is where I have always sat, and will always sit, and just because you have this illusion that because you sat here first that somehow makes it yours is absolutely comical. So before something unfortunate happens to you, I suggest you relocate yourself to the next available seat. There are some nice ones in the back.” She raised a delicate hand and pointed to the back of the room. The Gryffindor seemed flabbergasted.

“Why don’t you sit in the back then?” He asked. Immediately the student’s eyes grew wide and someone even whispered, “Who wants to take him to the hospital wing?” Lovella merely smiled coldly, smoothly reached inside her robes, and said.

“Regrettable.” The boy, sensing what was coming whipped out his wand, but Lovella was too quick. ”Stupefy!” She screamed. A jet of red energy erupted from her wand tip and struck him squarely on the chest. The desk lurched back several feet, and he slumped over, apparently unconscious. “Mobilicorpus” were the next words she uttered. The boy lifted off the seat and floated over to an empty seat in the back where he sat quite still. Then, as if she hadn’t just blasted a Gryffindor, Lovella replaced her wand, moved the desk back to its original position, and then turned to face the class.

“How terrible.” She started, feigning concern. “Hit by his own stunning spell.” She tutted. “Well, because he’s new I guess we can cover up for him just this once right?“ The class nodded in unison. The next words she spoke were calm, but undeniably deadly. “Would anyone else like to take my seat?” All signs of concern lost in her cold face. Again, the class shook their heads. With a small smile the Slytherin gracefully spun on her heel and sat down in her rightful place. No one spoke until the professor came.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
As her last name implies, Lovella is hard, cold, and emotionless... most of the time. There are times when she displays something akin to happiness, such as when she is practicing her spells or applying said spells. Her greatest ambition is to one day become the minister of magic as she believes it to be the greatest power achievable. She can become so adamant on her goals that she is often oblivious to the harm she can inflict upon others, but it is highly unlikely that she would care even if she did know.  Unlike a bully Lovella does not go around looking for fights, but rather "punishes" those that get in her way. Her greatest flaw is her extreme fear of failing and obsession with success.
