[May 12] New Professor, New Classroom, Old Memories (Open)

Waking up on a Monday morning generally had meant climbing out of a cot, checking his boots for spiders, snakes and other venomous creatures before leaving the cabin or tent he was staying in and beginning his day.  Usually that included a simple breakfast of bread pudding and either tea or coffee depending on the geographic region he was in.

Today had been different as he had awoken from a fitful and restless nights sleep in a very large comfortable bed as the sun entered his rooms and struck him in the face.  He had gone into his private bath, showered, shaved and dressed before eating a hot English breakfast in his quarters.

It was early enough that Professor Ramsay might be in her quarters still, but after the last two days, his first since arriving at the castle, he thought it best to perhaps give both of them some space.  Finding the shrunken trunk filled with artwork he wanted to place around  his classroom, he made his way out into the hallway, mug of coffee in one hand, and trunk in the other.

He treked down the two flights of stairs, which he  found decided not to change positions or directions on him, and made his way to the assigned classroom.  The third floor was better than most in that the windows were a bit larger, and more centeral in the wall than those on the fifth or seventh floors.  Finding the door open, Kendall Fleetfoot made his way inside the confined space and as he entered stopped for a moment  to take it in.

When he had attended Hogwarts as a first year, for the few months he was here, this had been his History of Magic classroom.  He could remember sitting across the room from Aiene, the typical Gryffendor versus Slythern rivalry keeping the two who honestly believed at the age of eleven that they were destined to be together, apart.

Shaking the cobwebs of memory from his head, Kendall strode down the center of the room.  This was his classroom now, and no ghosts of the past were there to haunt him.  He was master in this domain, and with a small amount of effort the classroom would look like one instead of being empty.

Engorgio and with a flick of his wand the trunk was returned to normal size, a rather large travelling trunk, covered in muggle travel stickers from trips taken to all global regions.  Kendall then levitated the trunk and opened it, beginning to pull the scrolls, charts and tapestries which would be placed onto the walls with sticking charms and shields to keep young inquisitive fingers from touching.
