Physical Description:

Luca is of average height for a boy his age; he stands at 5ft7 and is quite lean, but not lanky. He isn’t all skin and bones, having some muscle definition, but nothing to walk around flaunting himself. Luca has quite dark brown eyes that look almost black and chocolate brown hair that is a bit shaggy and if he doesn't put effort into it, it can look like he was just playing around in a hurricane.

In contrast to his dark hair, Luca’s skin looks pale but with the slightest tan which becomes more pronounced in the summer seasons. Even though his complexion is a bit light, it still looks healthy and not pasty.

Luca’s fashion sense, although conservative and somewhat normal for a teenager, can be a bit quirky at times. He likes to wear loads of different colours and stays right away from dull colours like blacks, greys and browns, probably why he hates the uniform he has to wear so much.

Luca likes to wear light colours as it makes him feel happier and brighter. He doesn’t often wear any accessories besides a few wristbands and maybe a watch at times, and feels most comfortable in plain old converse sneakers. Luca doesn’t like wearing fancy footwear and will show up to a formal event in sneakers, avoiding dress shoes like the plague.

Having older brothers, Luca has his fair share of scars from his childhood, but most are only small and hardly noticeable anyway. There is one scar that is slightly larger and quite noticeable that he received from breaking through a window when he was 10. It is around 7 inches long and runs along his the left side of his upper chest and just over his shoulder.

Personality Description:

Luca is quite a laid back and easy going person. He doesn’t trouble himself with trivial things and finds himself in the mediator position quite often. Luca tries to stay as far away from conflict as he can, sure there are times when one must stand up for their values and for what is right, but unless the matter is really concerning for Luca, he will most likely try to diffuse the situation calmly. He is very strong-willed at times, so if he really cares about a situation or topic, he will support whatever his ideas or values are, all while taking into account and understanding the other person’s point of view.

Being friendly and open minded is something that Luca prides himself in. He likes to make friends with almost anyone and tries his best to make people laugh and have a good time. He is a loyal friend and is always available to be a shoulder to cry on.
Luca is quite energetic and likes to play around be physical. He is an excitable person and will see the marvel in almost anything. Luca is always open to learning new things and enjoys researching about subjects that he’s never heard of before. Even though he enjoys reading a good book, Luca is more of a hands-on learner and loves to get involved in the learning experience.

His thirst for knowledge is what got him into the Ravenclaw house, along with his ability to be quick-witted. Even though Luca is open minded and willing to listen to others, he stays true to his own morals and won’t change them for anyone. Sure, he will listen to other people’s opinions and try to understand, but he won’t do anything against his values and morals.

Being the youngest of 4 boys, Luca was babied by his mother and as a result it a bit sensitive and gets hurt easily. However, he isn’t one to hold a grudge and unless you do something really bad, Luca will most likely forgive and forget. Luca has a tendency to take things to heart, so even if someone says something they don’t really mean, Luca will still believe them.

Luca is not the least bit aggressive and is not an angry person. However, on some very rare occasions when someone has said or done something terrible, his emotions go haywire and he can go from 0-100 in a few seconds flat. He isn’t aggressive, but Luca can get very angry at these times.

History:

Luca was born to Maurice Hayes and Luciana Hayes on the 4th of January in Devon, England. At the time of his birth, Maurice and Luciana already had 3 children; Samuel who was 8 at the time, Joseph who was 4, and Micah who was 2. Both his parents were half-bloods, so that also made Luca one. Luca was raised in a quite large family home with a great abundance of life and people.

Not only was the house crowded with 4 children, there was a constant flow of people visiting and staying with the Hayes family. Ranging from Grandparents to cousins, uncles, aunties and friends. The house was always buzzing with life and the occasional use of magic and everyone seemed to like it that way. Magic was never a huge part in Luca’s home life, but the presence and knowledge of it was still there.

There might be some that wonder if there was a huge catastrophe that resulted in an important turning point for Luca and his family, but there really wasn’t. Luca had a happy and somewhat frenzied childhood, but he was always happy and enjoying his time.

Having three older brothers growing up was both a blessing and a curse. Luca never got bullied by people at school because having three older brothers who were very protective of their youngest sibling was quite intimidating. Sure, there were times that his brothers weren’t around to save the day, but Luca was thankful for those moments as he was able to stand up for himself.

Luca and his brothers often liked to roughhouse and play around, wrestling each other and sometimes getting a bit too physical. One day when Luca was 10 years old, he was playing around with his second oldest brother, Joseph who was 14 at the time. They were wrestling and Luca somehow managed to break through a window, cutting himself on his chest/shoulder area. He has a scar from that day, but it was worth it to see their mothers face when she came running into the room to see blood everywhere and a very guilty looking Joseph. Luca was crying at the time, but he still thinks it was the funniest day of his life to see his mother faint.

However, the only people Luca’s brothers didn’t protect him from were themselves. There is always sibling drama and conflict, but having three older brothers kind of made Luca the easiest target when his siblings were having off days, felt like getting angry at someone or just got annoyed with Luca. But Luca understood, no one can be happy all the time. Even him.

Luca’s brothers all received their Hogwarts acceptance letters at age 11 and Luca couldn’t wait to receive his. He showed his first signs of magic at age 4 when he threw a tantrum and managed to burst a few light bulbs in the house. Luca’s parents couldn’t be any happier when they figured out that all 4 of their boys could perform magic.

When Luca finally received his letter from Hogwarts, he was ecstatic. The idea of learning about a whole new world excited Luca and he couldn’t wait to dive straight in. Sure, he knew some things about magic and had seen his parents perform it before, but he wanted to be fully immersed in the learning experience and wanted to know all there was about every subject that magic had to offer.

On his first day at Hogwarts, Luca made a few friends and by the end of two days, he’d managed to memorise all his fellow first year Ravenclaws names and introduce himself to each. Luca is a social person so he had no trouble making friends, unless the person was incredibly stubborn and driven to ignore him.

Luca has a thirst for knowledge and is willing to try new things and learn about different people’s experiences and opinions. He loves hands on learning and thrives off information he can gather from the people he meets. Luca is a true Ravenclaw through and through, he is curious, quick-witted and open to new ideas and knowledge.

The sleek black car pulled up at the large black gates of Hargrove, the engine was cut and everyone in the car waited in silence. Oliver crossed his arms across his chest, pressing thin seat belt firmly against his chest. He didn’t want to go. He would rather stay with his dysfunctional family than be locked up in some nut house. "C'mon Oliver,” Devon groaned, annoyed at his little brother’s attitude, “It’s going to be fine, you’ll make heaps of friends and-”

“Do you really think what I care about is not being able to make friends?” Oliver interrupted, glaring daggers at the older boy, “I’m not crazy!” Devon looked over to his mother and father who were both fuming as he tried to coax Oliver out of the car. Huffing in annoyance, Devon rolled up his sleeves and plucked Oliver from the car, hefting the small boy over his shoulder and carrying him through the doors of Hargrove. Devon was much bigger than Oliver, easily over 6 ft 5, and he was strong too. Oliver had no hope of escaping his clutches as he entered the rusting gates of the place he would call home for the time being… until he could escape, of course.

Setting Oliver down inside the main foyer, Devon offered him a weak smile, as if asking for forgiveness before he ruffled his little brother's hair softly which earned him a frown from the younger boy. Devon shuffled his feet awkwardly for a moment, as if not knowing what to do before his mother called his name in her shrill voice. He glanced at Oliver before he silently made his way out of the building and got in the car, leaving Oliver all alone.

Oliver sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He had no idea what he was supposed to do and he was incredibly bored. He stood up and peered around, searching for anyone that would have information or could be of any help to him. Oliver rubbed absentmindedly at his forearm, not really knowing what to do with his hands. With an annoyed grumble, Oliver sat on a nearby chair which was incredibly stiff and reclined back, staring at the ceiling and whistling tunelessly until someone came to get him.
