Dallas found himself wandering towards the Forbidden Forest again today, his class yesterday had been pretty successful and he was going to release the unicorn today. It was a bit earlier in the evening, and the cold february day slowly transitioned into a cold february night. The sun still had another good hour before it sunk beneath the pines in the Forest, giving him just enough time and light to release his beast and head back to his cottage in Hogsmeade before he got completely soaked my the light rain.

Thor trotted at his ankles, sniffing around, pouncing at a bug here and there, leaping away from rancid-smelling plants. The hard frozen grass crunched underneath Dallas' boots. He pulled back the final limb to step into the clearing, which he had defrosted days ago, and came back to melt any unwanted snow periodically. The young unicorn grazed on the clovers it stood by, nipping at small leaves with its delicate thin lips.

The massive Re'em that had been tethered to the thick oak had been sent back to the east, Dallas not wanting to risk the golden oxen's health in a different climate. Dallas cautiously approached the silver creature. The horned beast raised its head. Locksley bowed deeply, and the unicorn dipped its head in reply. Thor trotted over to a large patch of moss and lay down, his fuzzy chin resting on his front paws.

Dallas began working out knots in the unicorn's mane, brushing any bugs or dirt from its legs. "There you go, you ready to go?" The unicorn nipped at his hat. "Alright, here you go" Locksley removed his wand from his pocket and removed the enchantment he had cast on the creature to keep it in the clearing. The Unicorn shook its mane and looked around for a moment. He saw his escape options, then dashed away the direction Dallas had come from, turning hard to the let and bolting into the trees, without making a sound.

"Alright bud, time to head home, huh?" Thor hopped up and ran around Dallas's legs, placing his paws on the tall man's thigh. Dal ruffled the dog's ears. "Let's go bud." The wizard and dog walked back towards the castle.
