And it seemed that "gentle" was not in Miss Roh's vocabulary. Mark thought about this, after she roughly shoved him against the wall. Aurors were really not that nice of people. They couldn't be persuaded, they didn't have pity, really, they weren't much different than criminals with badges. The shackle spell did nothing but further discontent Mark.  Awesome. He wasn't getting out of this. Nope.

She turned him to look at the jar, and questioned what it was. "Carnivorous Snaplark bile. The worst that can happen to you is sharpened wit after ingestion. The actual Carnivorous Snaplark is a Class A non-tradable good, but this is just the bile." Suddenly, the jar moved a little, as a flower popped up inside, proving that the actual Snaplark was alive and well inside the jar.

Mark squinted his eyes shut, and sighing. "And that flower would be the actual plant. I swear though, I didn't buy that part of it! I only bought the bile! He, ugh." Mark was so pissed. He knew he couldn't trust his dealer. He knew it. But he did anyway, and this was what happened. Great. "My dealer must have slipped it in with the bile. I swear, I didn't know it was in there." He was telling the truth, and was praying that Roh would see the honesty.

"I know I shouldn't have been carrying the bile, but I didn't think I'd get caught! I also didn't know I was actually carrying the plant, and oh god. I'm going to go away fro a while, aren't I?" He started realizing. They were going to throw him in an Azkaban cell, and he'd never see the light of day again, and he'd miss the birth of his son, and he'd miss his wedding, and his life was over! Ruined!

Oh fantastic! I can imagine that wizarding folk might have something like 'reading your rights' and Zora hasn't done that.  That could bring a happy complication to Mark's trial later, if you like.  Give you you some fun stuff to play with.

Whatever his crimes, Hunter here seemed nothing like a hardened criminal.  He sang like a canary, he panicked like a terrier, he'd be folding like a chair next! Of course, it was possible it was all just an act.  That was the thing.  You could never, ever trust them.  Not even in cuffs.  Not until they were in a cell.  And then? Only a little.

When he all but admitted that he had been caught not only on a warrant but committing another felony, Zora scoffed and couldn't resist a smile.  He was about as wound up as it was possible to get.  She almost felt bad for him.

"You're completely buggered," she said without much sympathy.  She picked up the jar, held Hunter roughly to her side, and Side-Along Apparated them both to Level Two.

At Level Two, she shoved the jar at a Trainee.  "Process this.  Careful, I think it bites."

"Harcroft's still in the field - someone ought to owl him back."  There was some half-hearted applause (almost sarcastic) as she escorted Hunter to the holding cells.

"Don't pout, Hunter.  Things get a lot simpler for you here on out."
