Full Character Name: Anthony Ethan Hoult
Character Birthday & Age: March 1st, 1993 | 16 Years Old
City & Country of Birth: Cornwall, Great Britain
Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn: Halfblood
House & Year: Slytherin, 6th Year
Wand: Eleven and a half inches, rigid and with a spiraled shaft, Tony’s wand is made of Aspen with a Dragon heartstring.
Physical Description: This bloke is rough ‘round the edges might just be the first sentence on many minds when Tony is looked at.
Standing tall at 6 feet, with broad shoulders and a flat stomach, Anthony is the type of guy girls with ideals of romanticism swoon over and wish would hold them in his arms, the type of bloke many smaller wizards would believe a bully. He emanates a sense of masculinity not often found in sixteen year olds, and catches curious eyes often. Tony isn’t the delicate type, and actually isn’t prone to moving unless he has to –but, when he does, it’s with a rather determined system to his steps, as if each time he moves a leg forward it's with a task at mind.
With unruly, dark brown hair that he likes to simply comb with his hands, and blue eyes that startle, Tony’s face is all rough jaw and smooth cheeks. He doesn't like shaving, but he does his best to keep his beard down to a light buzz, which is quite a task –
thank you very much- as apparently his facial hair rather grow quite quickly. His left ear is pierced with a small loop he often removes whenever he finds he is growing bored of it.
Having grown up as a muggle for the most part, Anthony is rather fond of muggle clothing, and even when forced to dress for class he tends to wear black slacks with a white shirt and a lose tie supporting his house colors. Robes just aren’t his type of thing, and he manages to keep away from them as often as possible –although sometimes they can’t be entirely made away with. He has a tattoo on his right bicep, a design with rather little significance purchased mainly to bug his uptight father.
Personality Description: Bad tempered, with a foul mouth and a penchant for trying out new spells, which means he really isn’t the type you’d want to meet in a dark hallway when he’s in a foul mood. He has a quick mind and a sharp tongue, as well as fast reflexes –all leading in his ability to hold his own in any type of confrontation. And, as a matter of fact, he rather enjoys confrontations. Gruff as he is, hexing someone into their next life is quite a bit of a stress reliever, and he can’t quite get enough of it. Tony’s not one to hold a grudge, though, and as long as on the next day you manage to keep away from annoying him he’ll probably forget he ever hated you the previous the evening.
For those that manage to keep continuously to his good-side, however, there’s an easy smile behind the rough exterior and an ability to joke easily and play along. He’s all for a good prank or a good laugh –as long as you’re willing to understand that much of the time he might sit there brooding or answer in cave-man like grunts. He’s a loyal friend, willing to sacrifice himself –or, you know, he really doesn’t consider it a sacrifice- in order to hex anyone who decides to bother you or hurts you in any way, fashion, or form. And he’ll even pretend he didn’t enjoy doing it if you rather.
His quick tongue also helps out in the romantic aspect of his life: Tony isn’t one to date, but he is proud to be able to say he has taken a number of conquests in the past few months. With his honeyed tongue –available only to those who deserve it- and curious lips, Tony isn’t the type of bloke most fathers would like to see with their daughters –which makes it a rather positive aspect that he finds himself rather more fanciful towards wizards than witches, even if a few females have been known to catch his attention.
History: Though the flora was still quite bare, the weather was beginning to hint at spring the day Anthony Hoult was born: the air was rather warm, rain was rather insistent, and birds were already migrating their way back towards Cornwall. Everything about nature put in its little bit to make it a happy occasion, as a matter of fact –which made it rather odd that Sidney Hoult died mere minutes after giving birth. It was a cosmic twist of events nobody could have seen coming, yet even more amazing was the fashion in which Theodore Hoult managed to preserve in order to raise his newborn son –and the five year old he already had. It was proof of the man’s strength that he managed to purge on, and the fact he waited three years to start dating again was a monument to the love he had for the wife he’d lost.
Tony was five, and his elder brother –Klaus- ten, when Theodore decided to marry all over again. The woman was called Nadia, and she was too sweet in the boy’s opinions, too nice and too open to receive them in her arms and read them bed time stories. It also didn’t help that both Tony and Klaus were aware their mother had been a witch, and Nadia wasn’t –and so the comparisons went, and they simply would not stop bugging their father to try and ruin the wedding. It didn’t work, and the siblings found themselves first suffering a
beautiful ceremony –and soon after, new
babies: Theodore and Nadia popped out two more boys in the following two years.
Klaus, meanwhile, had gone off to Hogwarts, leaving Tony quite frankly alone with the new woman, the new kids, and a father he felt betrayed by even at the young age. The next few years were honest torture, and only the summers had any redeeming qualities since they were when his brother was allowed to come home for vacations. It was a miracle when, soon after he turned eleven, a letter arrived, inviting Tony to Hogwarts. It was official: there were two wizards in the family. Anthony left home with an eager heart and departed for school.
His brother was sixteen, by then, but during the first two years of Tony’s stay at Hogwarts he managed they spent time together –and, when Klaus later finished school, Anthony received a brilliant invitation: if he wanted, he could spend all his breaks from school living in the magical world with Klaus. Tony rather didn’t feel unhappy to leave his dad’s house behind –although he still keeps in contact with Theodore, and his father has managed to understand that the kids just simply couldn’t stand to look at his new wife.
As a Hogwarts student, Tony has managed to be somewhat of a challenge: while fairly smart and capable of keeping up with course work, he’s a very opinionated teenager who has a history of speaking up in classes to voice his thoughts voraciously even when they go against what is being taught, and in a way that isn’t exactly appreciated by most professors –he’s not a kid who has learnt much about respect, having had liberty to say whatever the bloody hell he wanted during his entire life. He still gets good grades, however, although it took his first four years to truly learn that, at times, he had to keep his mouth shut even if a Professor was teaching something he considered to be utter bollocks. It isn’t easy, but he manages –and gets rid of his moods in a very different fashion.
He joined the Dueling Club as soon as he could possibly could, and has been a proud member of it ever since. Tony loves fighting, and the club gives him a way to do it without risking getting expelled –which isn’t to mean he hasn’t been a part of a few illegal duels through his year. Mostly, they all ended up with a mutual decision to keep quiet and nobody was caught, although a time or two he has been reprimanded for being in the corridors after curfew.
Tony’s first love came in fourth year, and he went about showing it through grunts and frowns and guttural growls. It wasn’t a very successful relationship, and it ended three months after it began –although he managed to stay friends with the bloke. Despite his bad moods and his sometimes unfriendly manner, he’s managed to keep somewhat social and make friends –something necessary, he knows, if he wants to make it in the wizarding world considering he was raised as an outsider. As he reaches his final years in Hogwarts, he’s been slowly starting to think about his future –but has no idea yet what the hell he wants to do with it.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: There was one thing quite clear on Tony’s mind as he made his way to his first banquet at Hogwarts: Klaus was in Ravenclaw. The fact remained clear in his mind as the old, musty hat was settled on his head, but the voice that whispered into his ear felt quite differently about Anthony’s desires: smart he might be, it had stated, but Tony’s sense of ambition and his temper, gathered with his curiosity made him a better Slytherin.
It was a few years before the boy understood it all entirely, as his curiosity grew towards matters rather dark and his occasional duels turned somewhat violent. His sly tongue and ingenuity are another factor that he has come to realize make him perfect for Slytherin house.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Gruff and hard to get along with, Tony has a quick, sharp tongue and is rather blunt with the way he speaks –rather than manipulating and using mind games to get what he wants done. However, there’s also a loyal side to him, a side that will stick out for those he cares for and protect them even if it means hexing someone into next week –and, actually, he enjoys such actions. Smart as he is, he can still act foolish when the situation calls for it, and really isn’t against a good prank every now and then.
