Full Character Name: Bran Ifan Blackwell
Character Birthday & Age:17.02.1993, 17 years old
City & Country of Birth: Cardiff, Wales, UK
Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn: Halfblood
House & Year: Slytherin, 6th year

Bran's wand is as flamboyant and deceiving as Bran himself is. Made of Pink Ivory -a very peculiar and rare wood found only on the African continent- the wand sports a lovely hue of pink.

Measuring 11" in length, the wood is rigid and hard, with a smooth but intricately carved shaft. However funny and pretentious the wand may look on the outside, it holds a Dragon Heartstring core. The magical artifact speaks volumes about its master and Bran wouldn't want it any other way.

With a face of an angel and a certain sort of innocent, almost feminine beauty, Bran is sure to make a lasting impression, usually the sort that works to his benefit in the future. His appearance is perfectly misleading as one could never imagine such a sweet face ever doing anything malevolent. As if...

Blue-eyed, fair-skinned and with a lovely warm shade of brown to his wavy hair, Bran is every bit a Blackwell. However, out of all his brothers and sisters, his face is every bit his mother's. He lacks his father's and respectively his eldest brother's harsh features, instead having sweeter lines and a smile to kill for. When Bran smiles hearts skip a beat and girls everywhere make small cooing or squealing noises.

His body seems it will forever be that of a sixteen year old boy. Much like his siblings he is relatively tall (although the shortest out of all Blackwell sons), standing at 1,80 meters tall, he is lean, almost too skinny, but he has the body to rock any sort of outfit. Speaking of which, Bran has the utmost respect and passion for fashion. You will never see him in an ensemble that does not coincide with the current trends. He cannot stand poor taste, and being the only Blackwell to actually know a thing or two about fashion, he cannot help but impose his refined tastes on the rest of his family. With the exception of Lester, he is a pathetic lost cause.

He stands tall and proud, but knows when to put his looks to good use and act coy and innocent. He is a very tactile person, speaking with his hands and face as much as he does with his words. And of all Blackwell boys, he lacks his father's stoicism that seems to have passed to both Lester and Sander, which both are men of few words... or rather no words in Lys' case, and awkward words in Les' case. Bran is gifted with words in the sense that he can use them both sweetly to charm and manipulate and harshly to humiliate and demean any little pest that has the nerve to disagree with him or simply exist, in more unfortunate cases.

He has a boyish sweet voice, with a sort of airy musical tone to it. Which is why singing is one of his other passions. Well, show tunes and musicals, mostly, but his tastes are varied enough to admire the hits topping the charts at the moment as well.

Bran is a very deceitful person. He has two very different faces that he works wonderfully depending on the circumstances in which said face is required. On one side, he is the polite, intelligent, if a little shy, good little student, always smiling and ready to assist everyone in need of assistance. On the other hand he is a ruthless, mean, unscrupulous and just a dash sadistic little diva. He will use anything at his disposal to get his ways and he will never let himself be kicked down.

However, without the 'mask', Bran is pretty much the worst sort of human. He is selfish, manipulating, back-stabbing, vain, proud and must always have the last word. He has few real friends, but an impressive amount of acquaintances. He is a social creature, with a penchant for gossip and digging for everyone's shameful little secrets to use to his own benefit in the future, if not merely to publicly humiliate everyone that he does not approve of. The few friends he has, are mostly of the female nature, and he very much acts like the Queen Bee of the group. However he is not above, using his friends for his own benefit, and just as easily as you were accepted into his own little clique, you can find yourself  the target of his personal brand of humiliation and bullying.

While intelligent and fairly hard working in his school work, he takes no actual pleasure in studying, but he knows that it will work to his benefit, and he does so love the attention. He keeps the appearances of a pleasant, good guy in front of most authority figures, but, even then, some are not so lucky as to escape Bran's vocal judgement. Even with all his terrible traits, he has a few redeeming qualities. He is capable of respecting other people, while still holding some sort of grudge based on envy. He sometimes does care deeply for his few friends and will help them become their best, even if it might be solely for creating a better image of himself. Bran Blackwell would never be seen with people that are less than fabulous. Most of all however, he is very much attached to his family. He loves his eldest brother Sander with a terrifying amount of passion, and his younger sisters are very much so his Kryptonite (like they happen to be for every other member of his family). He even loves Lester, despite the fact that they constantly bicker and drive each other round the bend. And while he may a very independent guy, with ambitions and plans of his own he takes his parent's input into consideration and respects their opinions

Out of all the Blackwell children, Bran has taken to his wizarding heritage the most. While Sander still struggles with finding the balance between magic and muggle and Lester had the unfortunate fate of being side-stepped by magic completely and the triplets are too young to decide yet, Bran has completely assimilated the wizarding ways. He loves magic and he can't think of himself as ever surviving without it. However, he respects his muggle ancestry as well. His less than honorable perceptions of reality stem from some deep seated insecurities, and from the same insecurities also comes the fact that sometimes he feels the need to reassure himself and everyone around him of his place in the wizarding world. While bigoted and judgmental himself, he does not take keenly to pureblood supremacists.
Bran was born in a big, loud and loving sort of family. At least that's the way it was before the current generation of Blackwells came into being. After a stoic, grumpy and shy Lysander came a loud, obnoxious, rebellious Lester and finally, came Bran. Glenda and Evan thought they had seen the worst of babies with Lester, but nothing prepared them for Bran. Just as Lester, Bran was immediately attached to their eldest brother. He was an awful baby. He wanted constant attention, he was clingy and needed to be constantly entertained and the only one that managed to keep him in line was Sander. But he was also adorable. He was a beautiful baby, and when he was laughing Glenda had tears in her eyes that she fervently denied later.

But the worst was yet to come. Sander had been a quiet affair when his magic had started giving signs, but Bran would have none of that. No, with Bran it all needed to be big and flamboyant and all drama. While acting completely innocent in front of parents, levitating a thing here and there, making some flowers appear in his mother's hair, it was his older brothers that got the worst of it. Strange, often dangerous accidents started to befall them. Vases flew at their heads, the stairs became smooth ramps, toy soldiers started attacking them and so on. It didn't take long for the boys to put two and two together to realize it was the most recent addition to the family that was responsible for the hazards. Of course, luck would have it that when they informed their parents of their worries both Glenda and Evan were scandalized. "He is a three year old toddler! I am very disappointed in you two" was all the answer they got. And they got grounded for a week.

It only got worse. As soon as Bran was old enough to be in the company of other children Hell broke loose. If he wanted a toy, he got it and scared the kid away for life. If he got ignored by the elder kids, he'd make his presence known as painfully as possible. Soon he was the king of the sandbox, and nobody dared challenge him. He kept going at it in primary school, but soon he realized he didn't necessarily need magic to make his way to the pot. A sweet smile there, a vicious rumor spread at the right time, a teary eyed face with big blue eyes, sweetly playing to the big one's interest... Bran was growing into a a very talented actor.

When his Hogwarts letter came, Bran was ecstatic. He had heard so many stories from his father and his adored older brother, and he was more than ready to embark on a new journey of social wars and the conquest for popularity. While he had wanted to be Gryffie like his family before him, one look at the Slytherin table and he was sure that's where he would be. Whether that atrocious excuse for a hat wanted it or not. And he did. He was sorted into Slytherin, and it took him precisely a week to know all the students in his year. It had taken him another week to find out whose favors to play to and who he'd hate forever and ever. He was blessed with a good mind so he was doing from outstandingly well to well in classes, but he immediately took to Transfiguration and just as soon came to hold an irrational hate for Potions. There was no messier subject than Potions and Bran did not like to get his hands dirty.

In his second year he met what he thought was the most outstanding specimen of female beauty in the form of Neely Woolfolk, and with one of his adorable smiles and a "You're so pretty. Let's be friends" they became the best of friends. They have been mostly joined at the hip since then. Neely is probably the only real friend Bran actually has and he is both very protective and very fond of her. While he will at times give her a judgmental arched eyebrow and a very clipped "no" at some of her life choices, he will also place his test paper at the edge of his desk to make sure she does not reflect badly on his image (at least that's what he tells himself). And if Bran ever finds out, Merlin help the poor soul that has taken advantage of her sweet and endearing occasional naivety.

Throughout his years at Hogwarts, Bran has been as much a social butterfly as he has been a warrior on his quest to reaching the top of the social ladder. Through whatever means possible. One did not insult Bran Blackwell and came out unscathed from that situation. Nobody can hold a grudge like Bran, and he will wait years while devising horrible ways to completely obliterate someone from the social scene, until they are considered the social pariah of the century. On the other hand, he has learned to play nice to those that could help him further his ambitions, as long as they do not associate themselves to any of the puny little creatures that have dared annoy Bran. And existing, can actually be reason enough for Bran to hate you and believe you are a waste of oxygen. Especially if you are shallow, ignorant, slow and obnoxious.

As he is reaching his last years at Hogwarts, Bran has absolutely no idea what he wants to do in the future, but one thing is certain. He must be in a position where camera flashes keep going off around him while also being able to dictate other people how to live their lives.

Bran does not like to mention it, but he had actually been a hat stall. Before Hogwarts he had always wanted to be a Gryffindor, like Sander and their father and their grandparents, but the second Bran arrived at Hogwarts and laid eyes on the older Slyhterins, Bran was in love. So, when the hat had said musingly in its old, rotten voice 'Perhaps Ravenc—', Bran would not have anything to do with it. 'No. Slytherin. Now shut up and sort me, you're messing my hair'.

It was obvious to everyone who knew Bran, including his parents that he would have never been a Gryffindor, anyway. Bran was the devil's spawn as a child and no one knew it better but his brothers. Who he had tormented all his pre-school life. And his parents, as well, although they had never seen him actually being the awful, mischievous and manipulative little bastard some knew him to be, they had always suspected.

Ambitious, intelligent, manipulative and downright malicious at times, Bran is a Slytherin through and through. And he has flourished under the colors of his house. With his sole life philosophy being do whatever must be done to ensure your own prosperity, without ever wrinkling your tie, Slytherin house has helped him achieve just that.

Bran is a sly, manipulative, arrogant, vain and flamboyant character. However, he can play his innocent looks to the best and pass for coy and lovely, when the situation suits him. While he obviously has a lot going on in the faults department, he is very loving to his family and can actually show consideration to others, although very rarely. He has a passion for all things glamorous and dramatic and his purpose in life is to be at the top of the social ladder, and he is willing to use anything and anyone to get there. Basically, if one shared his love of atrocious teen movies, one could say Bran is Regina George with brains. And less money. And a male body. And better taste in clothes.

Special Title Request

Character Name: Bran Blackwell
Title Applying For: Orchestra and Choir President

What Experience has Prepared You For This Honor?
Bran is an avid fan of theater and music, but most of all of the both combined in musicals. If he cannot go to a show, he will put Lester's internet skills to good use to watch everything he might've missed while away at school. He has been in the church choir his entire childhood and at his older brother's encouragement, he has taken intensive vocal coaching and piano lessons until his admittance into Hogwarts. He continues to go to the occasional lesson during breaks, having kept a close relationship with his teacher.

While his main focus is on show tunes, and classic pieces of pop music, he appreciates the current chart toppers as well, but has a personal vendetta with boring, centuries old choral pieces that are best seen in young boys choir groups. He hopes to rejuvenate the current club and maybe bring it closer to this century, while also expanding its horizons. His personality makes it easy to direct and throw commands left and right, and while he might be headstrong in his approaches and perceptions, he will relent to choosing the best course for the club as a whole.

What Do You Think the Most Important Aspect of This Job Is?
Making sure everyone is enjoying themselves while also making it a place where the members can further their abilities and interact with other people with the same interests. Bran hopes to lead with a firm hand, making sure everyone gets to showcase their own skills, but without having the focus on a singular person. The success of the club lays in its members coming together to form an exceptional team.

Bran doesn't want to stop at holding the occasional concert, he hopes to share his passion for musicals with the rest of the club members and even beyond that. Singers, musicians, little actors, artists, writers, accomplished witches and wizards... he hopes to enlist the collaborative effort of each and every one of them in staging snippets of musical shows, concerts to accompany poetry readings, a capella interpretations of popular songs in the tops and so much more.

Keeping the interest of the members, pushing them to strive for the best, while offering them the opportunity to evolve as musicians, balanced with a good dose of fun, silly opportunities to sing and play just for the sake of it are Bran's recipe for a successful Orchestra & Choir Club.

Tell a Story From Your Past That Has Proven Your Mettle:
The last time Bran visited Mrs. Gemma, his old vocal coach, she was in the middle of helping a handful of ten year old kids prepare for their school play. While completely reluctant to stay and watch, despite his old teacher's insistence, he was so horrified by the children's horrible harmony that he decided he could pitch in. Seeing as the children seemed to respond better to Bran, rather than their own teacher, Mrs. Gemma gave him free lead, while observing them from close by.

Bran took the time to get to know each kid a bit, before grouping them after their range of voice, and making each little group fall in pitch and harmony by themselves before eventually working on the entire group of ten year olds. After a week of rehearsals, and Bran growing strangely attached to the tiny humans, they were read for their play and Bran got to stay in the first road as he silently instructed them. It wasn't any Broadway masterpiece, but they were children and they had done as well as they could've. Everyone had cheered and their parents gave a standing ovation, and that was everything Bran needed.
