Darkest Granddaddy of them all.... on June 03, 2013, 10:29:49 AM He looks so lovely, right?Alrighty...so here we have Vadim Vyrubov, aka Artur Grumman aka Grandfather to Melanthe and Shamera aka Great Grandfather to MaireadHe's a pretty mean SOB, but perhaps given his experiences, that's to be expected, no? Anywho, he was created primarily to create some havoc for The Greater Good plot. He needs connections, both for his role as head of the Grumman Family and also as his cover persona, Vadim Vyrubov, a noted Magizoologist.Nothing is off limits here. If you are in need of a bad guy, I'm totally willing to have him do whatever is needed. Skip to next post Re: Darkest Granddaddy of them all.... Reply #1 on June 03, 2013, 10:43:17 AM We chatted a little about this yesterday on AIM, but I'd like to for sure put my interest in here as well. I'd love to have him be one of the many puppet masters around the Circus, one of the many founders that hire JL's clowns for wicked stuff. Just by reading your profile and of course the PB I can tell that Jean-Luc is going to be very intimidated by this man. I'd love to play into that, and help you with any plot you wish. Plus, is there a better way to smuggle stuff across nations than on a circus train? Skip to next post Re: Darkest Granddaddy of them all.... Reply #2 on June 03, 2013, 10:46:43 AM Oooh, this just gives me all the feels! So glad that he's on board!Well, of course, we've got Adam who's basically in the process of starting to work for him in regards to the For The Greater Good plot. Mayhaps he has Melanthe introduce them when Adam shows himself unwilling to work for some hidden figure? Whatever works best there!Ryder and Vadim? I mean, seriously, there's two possible routes here: either Ryder was privy to the fact that his good ol' dad helped Arthur fake his death and just who Vadim is, so he pays him a visit and tosses him some hidden threats that Arthur should help him get his name and inhertiance back, OR Arthur knows who Ryder is, but not viceversa, and Ryder somehow has an encounter with Vadim. Or anything, really. Sky's the limit.Aaaaand, finally, if you ever need an Auror to get on his trail, Coop or Harry are yours -perhaps preferably Harry, as he's the one involved with the 'Wald plot.I don't know. Take your choice. Whatever and however many you want. I just wanna play with the Darkest Granddaddy of 'em all. IM me or pm me! Skip to next post Re: Darkest Granddaddy of them all.... Reply #3 on June 03, 2013, 12:22:20 PM ERIKAAA. I know we talked a bit about this last night - and that other night, I think, a few days ago? - but, I just want to put my interest out here, too. ;>As prev mentioned, you have Theo and Rick- the former idk, but I think through Melanthe we could work something out. Maybe start with correspondence? Or have that pre-established and move right on to meetings.Rick, on the other hand- when you've gotten the details straightened out, just hit me up on AIM! Or I'll poke you, whichever. I'll try to come up with something in the meantime. And, since Artur's persona is that of a noted Magizoologist, I offer Bai, too; she's done some traveling (and dabbled in the Dark Arts for a while), so they could have met. (I'll leave the extent of their relationship up to you, if you're interested.) I'd be glad to bring her back for all the possibilities~ Skip to next post Re: Darkest Granddaddy of them all.... Reply #4 on June 03, 2013, 03:10:56 PM Eek, so excited! We'll have to talk some time and figure out the WW2 connections. I know there's a Schlagenweit relative that supported Grindelwald, as well as Hector Harrison, and then Rai's grandmother and a few others (including Isambard Roth, if Aza comes back?) who were on the other side. Maybe we can all brainstorm over PM.In the present day, Aviad's been involved in Runespoor smuggling before -- mostly in Jordan, and mostly as a henchman and not anyone high up, although we might be able to figure something out. I think he's been playing courier for a bit now, so he could have easily met Artur before in whatever guise. He also crossed paths with Shamera when she was out retrieving something (presumably for the Grummans), so I would be totally down for there to be some fallout from that. She owns/operates a funeral home out of Diagon Alley. But she is also a necromancer and deals in illegal magic/items in relation to death/ghosts/etc. She's the sort to always be visiting other countries and trying to get her hands on their old books in the hopes of learning more about the particular branch of magic she is most interested in. If he can get his hands on illegal magical goods, she'd love to know him. And if he has access to generally illegal/hard to find animal ingredients for potions then he's even doubly useful to her. I am also open to there having been some long standing agreement between he and the O Morains as far as magical creatures/illegal items go. Her family did that and up until recently, Liadan did too.
