(Feb. 12) You could cut the tension with a knife. (Lucy/Jack)

She didn't want to go to the library, there would be couples 'studying' in there and obsessing over the Valentine's day weekend coming up. At least that is what the second years were saying. No one studies in the library before Valentine's day, unless you want to be submitted to the pain of witnessing couples sit there and be adorable.

Lexi just wanted to get some studying done, so when she got a letter from Alice saying to meet her in one of the empty classrooms, she picked up her stuff and went. Alice had a good work ethic, she would make Lexi work through the crazy amount of homework that she had this weekend. The note was vague, just saying to meet her in the classroom, it was signed by Alice in her loopy, but messy, handwriting.

When she walked in, her smile disappeared after she threw her bag on the desk and realized it wasn't Alice in there. "What are you doing here! Never mind, I don't want to know." She said, running a hand through her hair and covering her face with her hands. She looked back at the intruder with an annoyed expression, "Where's Alice?"
Lucy didn't like school. She didn't like studying. She didn't like reading. She didn't like learning or writing or casting. She didn't like school. So when someone sent her a note telling her to meet in an abandoned classroom to talk about how to get out of school early, she jumped at the chance.

Lucy walked briskly to the room, opening the door, and stepping in. Sadly, the room was empty, except for a few chairs. No creepy people with easy ways to get her out of school. The door closed behind her, and Lucy exhaled, as she went to reopen the door, heading out of the room. But, as she tried the handle, she realized the door was stuck. It was like the door was locked from the outside, but Lucy knew the lock was inside.

She tugged at the handle a little, trying to pry open the door. She even tried to cast something at it, but couldn't remember a spell that would unlock doors. Damn. She should have paid more attention.

She was sitting in there for about thirty minutes when Lexi came barging in, and Lucy jumped at the chance to get out. But, the door closed, with an ominous click. She growled, a little heading back to the desk. She sat down and put her feet up because, you know, why not?

"Where's Alice?"

Now here was a chance to mess with Lexi's head. She hadn't talk to Lexi since she got back to Hogwarts. Would it be nice to freak her out? No, no especially. Would it be fun? Sure. "Gee, I wonder. I sure do hope she's not in harms way." Lucy said sarcastically, and with a smile. So she'd mess around a little. Was that such a sin? To be honest, she hadn't seen the Hufflepuff at all in the past week. For all she knew, she could be in harms way. But, Lucy didn't care. A joke never hurt anyone.

Right?
Jack was really excited with Valentines day around the corner. He enjoyed the happiness, the love that was given to everyone. Although he didn't particularly like anyone, getting free hugs and candy was nice.[1]

He received a note slipped into his bag. It was telling him about a party for first years in the empty classroom; Frank,Alice, and everyone else was invited. After some looping around the castle, Jack was eagerly ready to get the party started. With a smile on his face, Jack opened the door to see two girls right in front of him. With a quick click of the door, Jack scanned the room to see who else was early. No one else. He soon came to realize it was Lucy and Lexi.

A little confused, Jack spoke up. " Is there a party here or...?" He tried to open the door to see if anyone else was coming. The door didn't move. "Uhhh... somethings not right here...." Jack stood there for a few moments, " I guess were stuck her until someone comes and hears us.

It didn't really sink in that he was locked in a room with Lexi McGee and Lucy Mathews
 1. This is soo mushy...
If there was anyone who could really get Lexi going, it was Lucy Matthews. The meanest and rudest person she'd ever met wrapped up into a pint-sized package. She was a punk, and she knew exactly where to push everyone's buttons to make them angry. And well, to make Lexi angry, it didn't take that much. She was a volatile and moody little girl who did not like to have her buttons pushed - especially not by Lucy Matthews.

The girl's sarcasm was so not appreciated. She was doing nothing but winding Lexi, and her not so good attitude, up. She was considering going for Lucy's throat when the door opened. She turned with a smile, hoping it was Alice, but the smile quickly disappeared when she realized it was Jack. Lucy and Jack. Great, because you know, throwing Lexi in a room with two people who annoyed her to no end would end up real good.

She watched Jack try the door handle, and he obviously wasn't strong enough to do it. Little wimp. Couldn't even stand up for himself in class, and he made Alice cry. She may have sort of been okay with the kid at one point, but any chance at being friends now was just, well it was just that. There was no chance because he had crossed too many lines, and Lucy had pushed too many buttons.

"Get out of my way," she said, shouldering her bag and reaching for the door handle. She grabbed it and twisted, pulled, tugged, and shook it as hard as she could; and nothing happened. She kicked the door, she was not having this. There was no way she was stuck in a room with these stupid people. That was not happening. "What is wrong with this thing!" She shouted, slamming her fist on the door.

She spun around, if she could shoot lasers out of her eyes, Lucy would have some serious burn marks. "This is all your fault. you set this up didn't you! Huh, or did you?" She said, turning on Jack and shoving him with one hand. Not hard enough to send him to the ground, but enough to make him stumble a bit.
Well...Lexi was in a good mood.

Jack was pushed aside by Lexi and she had at it to free all of them. When it didn't work she kicked it. Jack chuckled at the futile attempt. There was nothing wrong with the door, it just got locked from the outside. Jack began wondering who would have pulled off this joke.

"This is all your fault. you set this up didn't you! Huh, or did you?" His thought bubble was popped by Lexi yelling and then suddenly pushing him. Jack didn't fully understand why Lexi was mad at him. Since coming back from break, all she did was make his life miserable. Then again, she was always mad at someone whether it be Emile, himself, or even Lucy. Jack stumbled but quickly turned to Lucy, a confused face planted on him "Is she always like this?"
Lucy rolled her eyes as Jack joined them and Lexi had a near breakdown. Lucy just sat there, and picked at her nails. "Look, I've been in here for a half an hour now. I've tried pretty much everything." She folded her hands behind her head. "May as well pop a squat and chill. Someone will be back here soon.

Lexi was already pushing people. Oh, this was going to be great. For once it was nice to sit back and watch it transpire. "Calm yourself, ginger. We're stuck. Get over it." She said, exhaling, and rolling her neck. She slipped off her converse, and put socked feet up on the desk. No need for shoes when you were trapped in a room.

"Is she always like this?"

Lucy laughed. "You ask me like I'd know this. I've been gone for three months. I don't know what's wrong with her." She then went back to picking at her nails, a bored expression on her face.
Lexi leaned against the wall, clutching the strap of her bag in one hand. She looked up at the ceiling and took a deep breath. She would rather be anywhere but here. Actually, here could be fun if the normal activities included giving Lucy a taste of her own medicine and admitting that she thought Jack was a weak, spineless excuse for a human. Except she wasn't going to do that. First of all, she didn't want Lucy to kill her. Second of all, she didn't need to dear with poor dramatic Jack's tears.

Why would somebody lock the three of them in a room together? It was obvious that they couldn't be civil at their best, so when they got to be at their worst... what was going to happen? "I don't know what's wrong with me, maybe because you just offhandedly threatened my cousin. Or maybe it's because I'm stuck in here with you two of all people." She threw back, still looking at the ceiling and trying to calm herself down before she flew off the handle again.

She was in the middle of the lunar cycle. Supposedly, she was supposed to be at her best. But her 'best' turned out to be wild mood swings and the tendency to just be angry all the time. Besides, her contacts were drying out. That was a serious issue right there. Dried out contacts hurt. A lot.

She sunk down to the floor and sat there, crossing her ankles out in front of her and pulling her bag onto her lap. "Anybody know a spell to break down doors? Or is that NEWT level stuff?"[1]

 1. OOC: Just for my own knowledge, what did Lexi do to Jack? I don't think she's done anything besides complain to Alice about him a bit... Is there something you had in mind?
Lucy seemed to be handling this...well...? As for Lexi...she was just a barrel of laughter[1]  Jack had no idea if either himself or Lucy was the one who threatened Alice. Actually, Jack never had any idea about what was going on in Lexi's world... She was always so confusing.

"Anybody know a spell to break down doors? Or is that NEWT level stuff?" As if Jack knew. It was probably 4th year or 5th year but hey! who cares they're still stuck in a room. "You expect US to know how to knock down a door. You're probably the smartest out of all of us here...YOU find a way out. If you need our help just ask." By now Jack was sitting a few seats away from Lucy, popping some candy into his mouth.[2]
 1. You having you friend? My what? You know...your friend? As if I'm about 5 days late [Grease] :'(
 2. I though Lexi was mad at Jack because one time he got Alice in trouble (even though he kinda stood up for her)
I don't know what's wrong with me, maybe because you just offhandedly threatened my cousin. Or maybe it's because I'm stuck in here with you two of all people."

Lucy put down her feet when it seemed that she had to get involved. "Calm down, ginge. You're totally overreacting. I was joking around, sorry that that's not okay here." She crossed her arms, and leaned against a wall. "Someone will come by soon. We won't be stuck in this room forever." She explained, already not liking the way Lexi was acting.

She also didn't exactly like how comfortable Jack seemed to be. "Look here, Jack. You're the only boy here, so you have to bang on the door for the first three hours. If no one comes by then, then Lexi can take over for three hours. I'll come into banging on the door after your two shifts are done." Lucy smiled. Organization worked here. That was nice.
Even though she appreciated the somewhat-compliment, Lexi knew Jack was saying it in that stupid way boys always say things. In a mean way. Boys were stupid, especially Hufflepuff boys. And Gryffindor boys. And Ravenclaw boys. And Slytherin boys. They were all stupid! And weird!

"Stop calling me ginger." She said to Lucy, standing to face the door. She would figure a way out of here if she died trying. "And stop acting like you're in charge. Nobody likes you anyways."

It was true, even thought Lexi was saying her thoughts out loud, and in a rather shuffled manner. Nobody liked Lucy. Nobody. She hurt people and then acted nice to them when they fought back. What a coward, and a bully. Lexi didn't like bullies. Especially not bullies like Lucy.
Jack placed his candy bag on the table and said with a waiter like voice, "Enjoy..." Somewhat listening to Lucy's advice he walked over to the door and started knocking. After a few he could hear Lexi starting to get frustrated and angrier than she already was.

"I think I'll just leave you two ladies alone." He could have said that better if the door was unlocked, then he could leave. As for now, he was knocking. He had his own little beat then had an idea pop into his head. "Hey let's sing song. If were stuck here, we mind as well enjoy it!" There's that optimism. First time in a while Jacks been positive during a bad situation. However, he couldn't keep it up too much longer.
