Physical Description:
Zelda is wiry and tense, with wide hips and narrow shoulders.  She tends to wear robes over trousers, and in the shop aprons and long gloves. 

She has a long narrow face, and dark curly hair.  Her face shows signs of her age and she isn't the type to bother trying to conceal that. 

She's a proud witch, and proud of her struggle.

UPDATE: As of October 2011, her hair as a white streak above her left eye, a result of a Pentral possession.

Personality Description:
Zelda defines herself by three facets, each important, but sometimes in conflict.  She was raised to be self-sufficient and felt she's had to fight for what she wants.  That doesn't always jive with the typical picture of a mother, a witch, or a spouse.

As a mother, she's strict with her boys who are quickly growing into men.  And with her husband in Azkaban, she's aware of the risk to them.  That they might falter. 

She struggles to maintain an identity that is hers - that of an entrepreneur, a business witch, an herbologist.  She takes great pride in her expertise, but is well aware that it is sometimes ignored when it is her husband's name on their shop. 

Regarding her husband, she holds her love in secret, protecting it from affront or pain.  With her husband in Azkaban, she struggles quietly, icily. 

History:
She was born Zelda Morsely in little Ixworth.  She has two older sisters, and a step-brother.  It is Zelda's side of the family that has the muggles - her mother and her aunts, each of them married wizards and took the culture with relative ease.

She was a defiant little girl, and got into trouble at school.  Competitive, bold, and a back-talker. 

Ravenclaw was good for her - she grew up with more focus than many of her peers and found a great interest in plants. 

She didn't fall in love with Rafe until after they'd both left Hogwarts.  They married when she was 22 and took over Sellaphix Apothecary together. 

Their first son Figaro came when she was 30.

In 2009, a family tradition became unravelled and her husband was convicted of breaking trade laws.  He was sent to Azkaban and the shop was nearly closed. 

Now, Zelda struggles to hold the family together and the business afloat.  With the conviction, their mainstream customers doubted their integrity, and their undergound customers worry for their privacy. 

Describe your job duties and how you go about them:
Zelda's specialty is Herbology - providing the best plant-based products to sell in the Apothecary.  She cuts, dries, and prepares many of the reagents herself.

She runes the business-side of the shop, as well.

Elaborate on your expertise in your field:
Zelda studied Herbology and Potion-making at Hogwarts and apprenticed to Granny Sellaphix for a time to learn the trade of an Apothecary.

Zelda is bitter and closed off with strangers.  She is stern but loving with her boys, and keeps the details of her marriage close to her heart.

She is not shy about her differences with the law and that her priority is her family's livelihood.
