If he stands straight and holds his head as high as possible, Adam Turner reaches 6 feet –meaning that if his shoulders are even slightly hunched, or his neck craned just the slightest bit low, his height comes in at right below that. However, any insecurities Adam might have once had about how tall he is have long dissipated: he’s learned to use it to his advantage. If need be, by simply sucking in his stomach and emptying his diaphragm, he can easily appear even shorter. And with a life and a side job that often times calls for disguising his identity that often comes in handy. Adam is well-built, but not overly full of muscles.

With dark blonde hair –or chestnut brown, depending on how the sun hits it-, Adam keeps it short and out of his eyes –which most call grey, but he insists on naming as silver. Almond shaped, he’s learned that whenever he’s in a temper flecks of black appear in his irises and make his eyes gain the appearance of a night time storm. His facial features are, originally, somewhat feminine and delicate, but he long ago taught himself how to control them for whatever use he might give them.

Having been born in a half-muggle household and grown up in the muggle world, Adam has never quite gotten used to wearing robes; therefore, unless his job or anything else requires them, he’s normally seen wearing jeans and a tee or a shirt –and his faithful leather jacket.


One of Adam’s primary personality traits is his sense of independence. He grew up in a home where both his parents worked their arses off, and everything from his choice of clothing to his grades became his own responsibility. Nobody asked, and nobody seemed to care. Although some pitied him, Adam will be the first to state that he’s happy his upbringing was so lacking: one of the first lessons he learned in life was that, if he wanted something, he would have to get it for himself. He never waited for somebody to come and solve his problems or hand him anything –instead he taught himself to achieve his goals without any help. As he grew, however, he did indeed learn that delegating tasks was useful –as long as he was always in control, and he made sure everyone else was disposable.

His family life was quite poor when he was a child, and strangely enough the fact that he hardly ever had any luxuries has turned him into quite an ambitious bloke: if he could stand atop the world and control it all, he’d be happy. Money and power, Adam wants it all, and allows no roadblock to deter him from his dreams and ambitions. He works hard, and makes the hard choices that must be made –and never even thinks about them twice. Now a Cursebreaker –and an assassin in the dark-, Adam has grown close to achieve his economical dreams. But with every goal accomplished, another one jumps up to take it’s place, and his work is never over. There’s always something new he wants, and will stop at nothing to get.

Adam lacks in empathy and cares not for any lives besides his own, which has helped him along the road. He’s also quite skilled at lying, and even better at manipulating. A shadow in the dark, Adam is entirely self-taught and self-protecting. He considers himself the world, and everything around him can burn to ashes as long as he gets what he wants.


Early Life

Adam was born on January 2nd, 1982. His mother, Amber Whithorn, was a witch who worked as a seamstress for Madam Malkin’s; his father, Michael Turner, a mine worker. They had fallen in love in their teens and been married at the age of 20 –but by the time their 30’s came around, the love was lost. They stayed together simply out of obligation, but hardly spoke or saw each other. The money they made, combined, was hardly enough to survive –which meant that Adam’s early life lacked in any type of luxuries. Amber and Michael were constantly at work, and from the age of five, Adam was forced to fend for himself in almost every aspect.

Magic was one of the few bonds that still made Michael care for Amber. Therefore, when Adam was 8 and, angry that a classmate at his muggle school would not share his chocolate milk, he set a parchment on fire, neither parents was surprised at his first act of magic. However, they sat him down that evening and told him about Hogwarts, and about how, until he went to school, he needed to keep tight control of his impulses. Adam was excited to hear about what he was, and how special that made him compared to the other ordinary kids.

Hogwarts Years (1993-2000)

Diagon Alley was the first magical environment Adam ever saw, and it was amazing to the young boy’s eyes –but his shock was even bigger when he saw his first feast at Hogwarts: it hardly mattered that he did not understood what it meant that he’d been sorted into Slytherin; the amount of food was all that caught his attention. Everything he had ever imagined eating was there on the table, and more, and Adam was allowed to taste it all. He stuffed his stomach that night, but was ready for more by the time the next morning came around. Adam found settling into Hogwarts easy, and the classes were never hard for him. He soon made friends, although it wasn’t long before he realized that he didn’t quite care for any of them –they were simply there to be his companions, and if any were ever gone he’d not quite give a rat’s arse. Everyone was disposable. Adam finished Hogwarts with high grades.

The Battle Of Hogwarts (1998: Fifth Year)

At the beginning of his fifth year at Hogwarts, Adam became interested in becoming an animagus. But it was hard and complicated magic, and by the time the end of the year rolled around –and Voldemort invaded the castle with his Death Eaters-, Adam had not yet managed it. Though he wished he had. He’d kept his true blood status clearly hidden from most of his house mates, but rumors were about –and these wizards were quite against anyone not pure of blood. Running through the chaos and destruction, Adam was all too content to follow McGonagall’s orders regarding those of his house. He had no interested in being a part of the fighting.

Becoming An Animagus (1999-2000: Sixth And Seventh Year)

Throughout his sixth year, Adam continued his efforts to become an animagus, but only at the very end of his seventh year did he finally manage to become an animagus, and discovered that his animal form was a fox. That night, he transformed and, breaking curfew, ran into the forest, where he spent the whole night being alone and free, roaming around. As a matter of fact, he did this sporadically and as often as he could during his last days at Hogwarts –keeping it a secret that only he knew about, and proud to have such a treasure that made him special and better than his classmates.

Seventh year came about, and with it the end of his time at Hogwarts. Adam grew frightened: for the past three years, he hadn’t even seen his parents; the seventeen year old had spent Christmas holidays at the school, and every summer he’d done odd jobs at Diagon Alley that gave him enough money to rent a small, dingy flat. But now, he would no longer be a teenage, but an adult, and the future had caught up with him. Choices had to be made, and his entire life now hung on them. However, a chat with a man at The Three Broomsticks had the seventeen year old deciding he would become a cursebreaker.

Life Post-Hogwarts (2000-Present)

Immediately out of school, Adam gained himself the opportunity to train to become a Cursebreaker. The now eighteen year old spent his first year out of school in Egypt, learning and training and perfecting himself in order to get the job once he returned to London. And all the while, he planed his next moves. He wanted more than this, and he was aware of it. A year later, he returned to London and was given a position at the beginning of 2002. With his salary, he was able to rent himself a flat, and he spent the next few months putting money towards decorating it until he was proud of it. His so-called-friends seldom saw it –but he did often bring women back home with him after a night out.

Remembering Day Murders And Becoming An Assassin (2008-Present)

The next years went by in swirl –his time was spent either in London, or anywhere else in the world he was sent to work at by the bank. However, on the date of the tenth anniversary of the Battle Of Hogwarts, Adam was in his home town and present for the festivities –where he witnessed two deaths that made him realize he was selling himself short and missing out on an amazing possibility: as he coldly watched the chaos, Adam Turner realized that he would have no qualms with murder. Especially if he were paid for it.

It was hard work, finding the right venues to visit, and the correct ears to whisper in, but after six months of hard work, Adam finally managed it, and The Fox, as he called his assassin alter ego, got his first job. It was a huge success, and the small fortune he was paid for the job gave him the possibility to buy his own flat and decorate it according to his own taste. Soon after, came his second assignment –and so on, until The Fox had became a household name for anyone who might need somebody killed. Adam is aware that, at some point, the Ministry will come looking for the assassin –but he’ll deal with that when he must, and not a second earlier.

Describe your job duties and how you go about them:

Adam’s day job as a Cursebreaker entails traveling on behalf of Gringott’s, to search for unique items they might want for their collection and dealing with any magical wards that might be upon them.

As The Fox, Adam is an assassin whose prices are quite steep. He only works for those with power and wealth, eliminating whoever they deem necessary to be eliminated.

Ever since learning about the wizarding world, Adam has been quite intrigued by all its secrets. Curiosity might be his biggest flaw, but it’s landed him the job he now has. He’s mainly self-taught, but wand-work has never been an issue for the 28 year old. His daring and braveness, and his adoration of adrenaline rushes, means he has no issue going into even the most dangerous places. He has learned several languages and, a lover of culture as he is, easily manages to fit into any place he might find himself.

As an assassin, there’s hardly a weakness he has, as he’s found. Adam prefers killing with a curse, but will follow the order’s he’s given by whoever hires him for a job. He’s good at covering his tracks, and though word of The Fox is slowly getting out to the general public, he’s managed to keep his own role entirely hidden.


Adam is an ambitious man, who is not scared to get his hands dirty if it means getting what he wants. His lack of anything valuable in his early life has lead him to desire much currently, and he stops at nothing to get it. Kicking each roadblock out of the way as he hits it, he’s a manipulator and a liar who’s learned how to deal with all of life’s punches –and win.

As an assassin, Adam’s alter ego The Fox has killed half a dozen people so far, in various and varying ways. The bodies, for the most part, have all been found by the Ministry –and the symbol of a fox, scorched into his victim’s lower back, has led them to realize that there’s an assassin on the loose. However, Adam himself has covered his tracks well, and has not yet been caught for the crimes. It’s only a matter of time, though…

What crimes might they commit in the future?  Discuss all possible:
Adam will continue killing for the highest bidder, and has no qualms with taking more lives, until he meets a roadblock that makes him realize he needs to quit.

How did they learn or hone this ability?:
Adam began researching how to become an animagus during his fifth year in Hogwarts, but, although he tried over and over, he continued to fail at the task until he reached his final days at school. Finally managing to transform, Adam became a fox and ran into the forest where he spent the entire night. However, even after this initial transformation, the seventeen year old found it hard to continue –turning into his animal form was not an easy task. As years passed, however, it became easier and easier –and today he feels like he’s entirely mastered the ability.

Describe how the Special Ability influences their life.  What do they use it for?:
At first, being an animagus was simply a tool for Adam –something he could feel special about, even if he told nobody. In a life where he was born a nobody, any chance to be better than others was something he’d quickly grasp at. However, today he uses it whenever he feels the need to go from one place to the other disguised –and he generally uses his fox form to stand in the shadows watching as the MLE process the scenes of his latest victims.

Write a description of what happens when your character is exhibiting this Special Ability: Becoming an animagus has no effects on those around him. Presently, he simply forces himself into his animal form at will, and then back into a human once again. There’s no longer any effects, although at the beginning he was often dizzy or nauseous during or after a transformation.
