CECILY Aliyena DONOVANApril 10, 1979. Cartagena, Colombia. Ledesma School of Magic.
WRITER • HUMANITARIAN • POLITICAL ACTIVIST
WEREWOLF LIAISON
[ 10 ¾”, hazel, unicorn tail hair. Bendy, with delicate etchings of flowers. ] Physical DescriptionAt first, Cecily
seems harmless.
Five feet five, with dark brown hair, frank green eyes and a pert nose, most see a cute, stylish witch, cheerful and friendly. Her complexion is healthy, clear and unblemished, and her hair – often left to curl gently at the tips into a delicate bob – has a visible bounce to it. Her dresses are cute, as are her shoes and accessories, and range from bold, eye-catching colors to darker, earthier tones – something more casual, maybe bohemian in design. In the very least Cecily looks like a religious shopper, a socialite, a witch without a care in a world. Her pregnancy – almost seven months along, with little signs of strain – has only confirmed this.
But at home, it has never been more obvious that she is every inch a Donovan to the bone. Devoid of all but the slightest hint of makeup and comfortably clad in old, worn clothes (some of which may or may not be liberally stained with paint), it is easy to see the family resemblance in that stubborn chin, the curve of her cheeks, those dark, expressive brows. With its sharp angles and generous curves, even her frame alludes to past Donovan witches, and the resemblance is made all the more apparent when she moves with a purpose. Those long strides and that imperious lift of her chin speak of a witch who is comfortable no matter what she is doing… be it facing off against men nearly twice her height or causing their property to go up in flames.
Her ability to blend in at galas and luncheons as well as the shadows of a cargo bay – or a politician’s office – is both a beauty and a terror to behold.
For underneath the glamorous dresses, paint-stained shirts and dazzling heels, Cecily is very fit, if not obviously muscular. Her seemingly delicate appearance belies both an inner strength and an extremely active, athletic lifestyle, and since taking a more…
aggressive approach to her conservation efforts and werewolf rights she has become quite adept at self-defense, dueling, and jumping off of ledges. Being pregnant has made her no less capable, and she is only all the more dangerous for how unassuming she first appears.
PersonalityUNDER CONSTRUCTIONHistory“The Donovans are a wealthy mixed-Irish family from Cartagena, Colombia. They are well-known for their wildlife conservation efforts, dogs, and almost careless generosity. Their support has backed many a cause.”

Job DescriptionWriting• Works: When Dragons Belch (2010), The Wonderful World of Poo (2009), Mr. Felix and the Cabinet of Curiosity (2007)...A talented writer, published author, and certified Magizoologist, Cecily has had a long and fruitful career penning brilliant children’s books, many of them portraying certain Beings in a new light; though firmly within the realm of fairy tale fiction, they are witty, captivating, and contain some grain of truth in them, presenting readers with an honest yet sympathetic image. Her books have influenced many a tolerant mindset post-childhood.
Philanthropy/Humanitarian Efforts• Causes: installing literacy programs; funding/fundraising for wildlife conservation, aid relief programs; building/construction projects; volunteer work; anonymous donations for medical researchSince graduating from Ledesma, Cecily has been an active participant in the fight for wildlife conservation and social issues, particularly Beings rights and raising the standard of living in other countries. A majority of her books’ profits
Politics, Political Activism• Dealings: lobbying for aid and equal rights, locating and placing werewolf orphans, arranging support for thereof, funding halfway houses for werewolves, establishing communication and support between werewolves and non-werewolf alliesWhen it comes to getting things done, Cecily prefers to work the system by working
around it. When she isn’t meeting with government officials (and less legitimate, but no less powerful ones) under clandestine circumstances to exert pressure/hammer out negotiations, she is locating werewolves, arranging for them shelter, delegating others to work their cases and – maybe most importantly – establishing communication and support between werewolves and non-werewolf allies. With her many, many connections, Cecily collects intelligence on possible associates and financiers, evaluates them, and then contacts them. Sufficient change rarely happens when it is wanted, but until then she works hard to help as many as she can survive the wait.
SummaryOnce a famous author and a part-time barista, Cecily took a break from her first job and quit the second to focus on her humanitarian efforts, traveling the world to advocate better education, wildlife conservation and equal rights not just for werewolves, but for species she feels have been unfairly stigmatized or systemically oppressed. At present she is the proud sponsor of three villages, four national parks and a school. She has
also organized a discreet international support network for werewolves, but we don’t talk about that…
