Wind,thoughts,letters

It had been along day.Sophie had never in her life been thankful for a Friday. It was chilly outside, but the girl wrapped her gold and red scarf around her neck and decided she'd take a walk, like always, at the Lake. She had no idea why it was her favorite place but it always calmed her down so much, being there.
The breeze whipped her brown hair from her shoulders, letting it fly with it. It was undeniable that it was a beautiful sunset -- well maybe not for those who didn't like this time of the year. But Sophie did,and she liked how all her stress suddenly felt pointless and nothing to worry about.

She approached a tree, and sat down, leaning her head towards it. Her mother was bragging in her last letter about how she did in school. Sophie wasn't at all surprised, but she hated how her mother got under her skin. She took out her wand and flicked it a few times, making a little stone jump up in the air. Lost in her thoughts, and kind of hungry she was but she still needed to answer her mother's letter. She was trying hard not to write thing that would anger her mom,but she failed miserably. Maybe that's why she left the parchment and the quills in the common room.
To clear her head from everything. She leaned her chin on her elbow and sighed looking at the lake.

"Blimey.."she thought " I could really use some company these days."
