Wand: 14 inches of Dogwood with a core of unicorn hair. It has a bent shaft, and is rather springy.

Jane is 5' 6", and weighs 120 lbs. She has typically blonde hair, but has decided to dye it bright red. She has a thin frame and proportionally typical bust and butt. Her hair is originally with a little wave, but she straightens it. She has bangs cut that she parts sometimes. Her eyes are now rather hazel, though she was born with blue eyes.

Jane dresses in bright colors, mostly in pinks and reds. She dresses very girlily, in skirts and dresses. She keeps her wand tucked into her holster on her belt or tucked in a bag or her boot.

Jane is eccentric to say the least. She acts on impulse, and doesn't think decisions out thoroughly. She has a constant high energy and always smiles. She loves to jump around and laugh, and is an overall happy person. However, when she is upset, she is very upset. She is fragile to say the least. Jane tries to avoid being upset whenever she can.

She tries to live by the motto "Keep your head where your feet are." Jane is actually a very insecure person, who feels like she has to put on an act to keep people happy. She's afraid for people to see her as a shy and nervous girl. For this reason, she avoids those characteristics as if they are the plague. Therefore, she is very outgoing and impulsive. She feels like if she can do something before getting the nerves she won't get them. Jane is also scared about the future, and what to do with her life. She doesn't like to think about it, so she lives each day as though it's her last.

Jane makes friends easily. She has only a few close friends, but only one best friend; Roxie Gunter. Roxie is the only one who truly knows about how insecure Jane is about her own personality. Jane sees Roxie as a sister that she can confide in.

With love, it's easy to say Jane has experience. She has dated many people over the years, and  has had her heart broken each time. She goes on binges where she thinks she wants and can be single, but she then feels alone, and sad. She is forever seeking companionship, and as much as she wants a bad boy who is wild and impulsive, she needs someone who is calmer and can keep her grounded.

The other truth about Jane is that she is afraid of being alone. She constantly needs someone there, which is why she lives with Roxie, and sleeps in the same room as Alice. When Mark fell sick and the outcome seemed grim, she was especially beat up about it, afraid of feeling alone without her big brother.

Jane Leslie Hunter was born on November 25, 1986. She was born to Franklin and Cynthia Hunter, and was a second born after Mark Hunter. Growing up in Oulton Broad, she was always a daring child, and did a lot of risky things that Mark always advised against.

In 1997, Jane showed signs of magic, and her parents couldn't have been happier. It meant she was going to follow in her brother's footsteps and go to Hogwarts.

When Mark came home for winter break in 1998, their mother smuggled Jane and her brother out of the country and into France to live with their aunt in order to protect the family from anything to do with the coming war. In February, The Hunters were not back in Oulton Broad. They were still hiding in France, and Mrs. Hunter had another daughter, Alice. Alice was a quiet baby.

In June of 1998, the Hunters went back to their home, and life returned to normal. In September of 1998, Jane was sorted into Slytherin house for her ambitious attitude, and she was rather content with her house. She didn't fit in with the nasty attitudes, however, and so, she found happiness when with other houses. Since she was surrounded by nasty people who would make fun of her relentlessly, she developed a shy personality. It was during her first year that she met her best friend, Roxanne Gunter.

Jane had somewhat disowned her house, though her house traits did shine through when Roxanne voiced that she wanted to do well on an upcoming test. Jane snuck into the classroom and stole the answer key. She wanted her friend to pass and would stop at nothing to get what she wanted. Jane found her passion for journalism from reading the Daily Prophet religiously and wrote in the Hogwarts Howler.

She graduated at the end of the 2004-2005 school year with fine marks. She moved back into the Hunter's house until 2007, when her and Roxie bought an apartment in Dragon Towers in Diagon Alley. Jane then made herself someone that she wanted to be with the help of Roxie and some red hair dye. She interviewed for a job with the Daily Prophet, and was able to secure a job.

Describe your job duties and how you go about them:
She is responsible for writing news stories, and typically works on several at  a time. She is constantly researching and snooping.  Jane just pokes her nose in where she doesn't belong, and flirts with Auror trainees trying to get details about something that had gone down in the Wizarding world recently. She also picks up bits of gossip from anywhere she can and then pursues them as stories.

She graduated Hogwarts with reasonably good marks and wrote for the Hogwarts Howler for her 4th to 7th year of Hogwarts.



Jane Hunter is a social butterfly who has hidden insecurities that she doesn't like to talk about. She loves a juicy story and is a helpless romantic who is looking for a boyfriend who would love her. Jane loves her job as a reporter for the Daily Prophet, and finds joy in meeting new people.
