Physical Description: Roxanne has a thin, gorgeous frame. She stands about 5’7’’ and has natural mouse brown hair. But, when she was 19, she dyed her hair for the first time, to bright red, oranges and pinks. Roxie’s hair is straight and is easy to wash and manage. Her bangs that normally hang in her face are pinned up while she’s at work. Her long fingernails are normally painted with neon colors and her ears are pierced and normally sport dangly chain or hoop earrings.

Roxie has small, thin hands and feet, yet her legs are muscular and toned. She has bright, lively hazel eyes and straight, white teeth. Her thin lips are normally covered in lip balm or a lip gloss of some sort, other than that, her face is usual clear of make-up, aside from occasional cover-up. She wears, fun, flirty raspberry perfume and a gold pendant shaped like a lion always sits on her elegant collarbone.

She mostly dresses in a whole range of colors and textures, just to keep people guessing on what she'll wear next, her style is mostly preppy, and someone gothic on occassions, she wears jeans and t-shirts on a regular basis at home. For work, she wears a sensible yet attractive and professional skirt and a blouse to match, along with her Ministry Robes and a set of heels.

For exercise, Roxanne loves to run; she runs almost every morning and may run one or two races a year.

Personality Description: Roxie is a jack of all trades when it comes to her personality. She can be super caring and will go out of her way to help others, but on the other hand, she can be super self-centered and want to focus on herself and not want to talk, much less help, anyone. For the most part, though, she loves to talk to people and to socialize. At first, you’d think she’s a total ditz, but talk to her for 5 minutes and you’d see that she is, in fact, very clever and intelligent, with an aura of sophistication about her.

She can be very calm and collected when she’s home in her apartment, hanging out with her cat, Nirvana, a long haired kitty with jet-black fur and a panther-like face. She takes her work seriously and enjoys being a hostess for the Ministry every day. When she’s not at home or at work, you could find Roxanne at a party or a club, dancing and partying with the other clubbers. She can go totally nuts and do crazy things, like one time, she ran through drywall. (But she was massively drunk, she was never that buzzed again.) She mostly prefers tea to coffee, but she is perfectly content on energy drinks she can get in any corner store.

Roxie would die for her family; she loves her Dad and stepmother, Claire, to bits. She visits her Dad at least once a month, and never stays out of touch for more than days. Very rarely, Roxanne has a flashback of her biological mother that she forgets most of the time. On those days, Roxanne calls out of work and cuddles up with her cat and her novel draft for a day of nothing but writing, when she’s not writing, she paints watercolors or reads. Roxie is organized, not over orderly, but she does like to keep her living area clean, not OCD or anything.

History: Roxanne Daphne Gunter was born to Rebecca (muggle) and Milo Gunter (wizard) on March 11th, 1987. The couple was unhappy with each other and divorced when Roxie was just two, Milo claiming that the girl’s mother was clinically insane. The next two years were fought for the custody of little four-year-old Roxanne. Her father won the law battle and her mother was allowed planned visits due to her deteriorating mental health.

Roxie was a giggly and creative child, always finger painting or playing a game with her stuffed animals. Her father began to date a witch friend of his when Roxanne was eight. Later that year, the girl’s mother was put into a clinic for the psychopathic. Roxie paid little to no mind about it, but always strived to make her father happy, even if it was just a page from a coloring book with the colors inside the lines. A few months later, after Roxie turned nine, her magic kicked in. She was gardening with her father in the backyard of their small Flixton home, when the Gerbera Daisies began to change different colors. Her father was over-joyed that his little princess had the ability he had grown up with as well.

Two years later, Roxanne was sent off to Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor; her father wrote her every week, except one. He explained in his next letter that her mother had escaped from the institution and had broken into the small residency, looking for her daughter. Milo had called the police immediately and her mother was put into a high-security mental hospital. Roxie was a little shaken by the news, but didn’t let it show.

Over the next few years until graduation, Roxanne became a social butterfly, always talking and getting along wither everyone, partying hard and spending quite time with her father and her stepmother, Claire, whom had married her father when she was 14. Claire and Roxie get along very well and are very close.

Once Roxanne graduated, she moved into a small flat in Dragon Towers with her best friend since childhood, Jane Hunter. They both pitch-in on rent and are normally quiet, pleasant neighbors.In the five years since graduation, Roxie has been working on her novel, having doubting the original plot, has rewritten the untitled story over 5 times.



Describe your job duties and how you go about them: Roxanne works as the Welcome Witch at the Ministry of Magic. She works full time and has an hour lunch break, but sits at her podium near the front doors of the Ministry. When visitors enter the doors, Roxie smiles and hands them Floor Maps. She enjoys helping and talking to people, she also has a very chipper and happy attitude in general, so people enjoy getting help and directions from her.

Occasionally, if there is someone rather important coming for a meeting with a Head of a Department, Roxanne will write a quick paper-airplane message and send it off before the visitor gets to the Head's office. On slow days, she kicks off her heels and sits down behind her podium, reading or writing.

For lunch, Roxie pops out of the employee entrance and walks over to a small Italian deli two blocks away from the Ministry. She’ll come back to her podium and eat quietly, putting down her sandwich occasionally to help someone out. Roxanne also has a massive crush on an intern in the Department of International Magical Cooperation, but hasn’t gotten the guts to tell him yet.


Elaborate on your expertise in your field: Roxanne was hired when she was about 20. The interviewers gobbled up her individuality and spunk. She was hired a day after her interview and has been working the job for the past 2-3 years. She worked part-time, with the other Welcome Witch, Georgianne Sleeper. She was off on a vacation when the Ides of March direwolf attacks occurred. Roxie was devastated at the loss of her friend and colleague, and began to work full-time, feeling guilty that she wasn’t there when the attacks happened, but she’s learned to accept it, but still feels bad about it.

She has a very welcoming nature and her charm and good looks; she was a perfect fit for the job.
