Greetings from the Third Task Design Team!

The Third Task will be taking place soon. At this time there is a special opportunity in place for threads in conjunction with the Third Task.

Remember the Maze Task from GoF, how the teachers were part of a security team patrolling the arena to watch for Red Sparks shot up in emergencies? Similarly the Third Task at Absit Omen will have a IC security team.

Security is open to any professor or staff member from any school. While the Champions are to remain largely isolated (OOC) during the Third Task, the Security may be involved with aftermath of the Task, such as the Champions being rounded up upon victory, for example.

Otherwise, the status of being on the Security Team can be used for whatever plot ideas you wish. Note that Champions and Security will not be directly interacting with each other during the main task progression threads the Champions use. For those interested the GMs (Game Masters) that use this account may give you ideas and prompts for Security threads if you wish.

The exact nature and organization of the Security Team we leave to you. Would you like small groups or pairings on patrol? Are there foreign professors you have yet to thread with? All ideas are welcome. The aim of this opportunity is not to draw attention away from the Champions of the Third Task, but to engage sub-plots and threads of interest to what is happening co-current to the Task.
