[Jan 6] Caught is Caught [Raine, Warren]

on February 27, 2013, 01:07:24 PM

About 11 pm

Patrols hadn't been too bad so far. Raine was pretty cool, and seemed to have the knowing what they were doing thing down. Probably get a bit old later on, but wandering the halls together seemed more like hanging out than obligation so far.

"So, the mage gets bored and realizes that his iceblock looks pretty much like the one the boss is throwing out. Figures he can try it, see if anyone will stand behind-" Gigi stopped,  looking ahead. Thought she'd seen something. Someone.

She leaned over towards Raine, and whispered. "You see anything?"

It was almost disappointing, Gigi'd expected that they'd have to go delving off into more side corridors and stuff to find anyone. Hopefully wasn't a Slytherin. She could still dredge up a little house pride sometimes.

Having gotten to know Gigi much better since their run-in late in the last term, Raine could safely say that she understood more about muggle computer games than could possibly be useful to her. Rather humorous, that muggles spent so much of their leisurely hours on magical fantasies.

Nonetheless the Slytherin's stories weren't boring and she had been attentive in listening until- "You see anything?"

"Not see..." the redhead replied slowly, her pace slackening as they reached a turn in the corridor. "I hear something." And if she had been in animagus form, her ears would have pricked and tail twitched. Now she only paused to scan the passageway.

Footsteps that didn't step in beat to their own; not a rushed pair either, so they didn't know the prefects were close. Raine glanced at Georgiana, eyes sharp.

"Somebody up ahead," she whispered with a smile- her wand, carrying a subtle lumos light, dimmed so that it was barely a glimmer between the two witches. "You may do the honours, prefect Trishna."

Well, there was something down there, and probably not Peeves playing troll, from the footsteps. 'less the old troublemaker had decided to try that for fun.

Gigi shifted her grip on her wand a little, wanted a hold that played well with handling people who freaked out at being caught. Seemed possible. That or running.

Ironically enough, given how much stomping she did on a regular basis, Gigi was pretty good at sneaking when she wanted to. Or maybe it wasn't ironic, with that whole playing a rogue thing. Sneak sneak sneak sneak stab.

Well, for real life it was just sneaking. And so she made her way down the hall, steps soft, body hunched over a little as she stuck to the shadows. Maybe she'd get to surprise whoever it was before any of that potential freaking.
