"Are you sure I can do it?" Wyatt said nervously. He was now inured to the fact that he was now a homeless criminal, well, Millie was the criminal, he more watched and kept look out with she absconded the passerbys on the street. She did it with such effrontery, he could never imagine chicanery as hers. He gulped, peeking out of the gaps in the the slats of wood, at the darkened streets.

He was getting used to the sordid atmosphere he was living in now, and he was extremely hesitant to begin these extemporaneous acts that his twin was apparently used to. "I can't believe you did this, even when Mum and Da were alive" Wyatt was feeling capricious. But, he'd have to do it eventually, if Millie could live on the streets, then so could he.

"I really, really, really can't do this." Wyatt whined. "I've never picked someone's pocket before! What if I get caught? It's dark out and I. Don't. Like. It. Here." Wy said slowly, his knees on the dusty floor of the abandoned building they had snuck into this afternoon. His sides still hurt from squeezing himself through the window.

By now, they had lived in London for about 2 weeks, and Wyatt's hair was already a total mess, it was stiff and crunchy, and his clothes felt the same way. "i really don't like this, please don't make me do it." He turned to his sister. He pouted his lip. "Pweez?"

"Oh hush, you. It's fine, alright? Don't worry, okay?" She reassured him. She peeked out of the wall with a smile on her face. This was when the adrenaline started to pump through her veins. This was why she did it. Not for the money, or the reputation. It was all for the rush.

She shimmied out of the window, and dusted off her arms from the cobwebs. "I've been doing this for years, Wyatt. Trust me, it's not as bad as you think it is. And hey, you're rewarded for it." She tugged on her loose braids, tightening them. "This is easy. You're just going to walk by someone, and quietly sneak your hand in to their pocket. Grab whatever you can, and if you can't get anything, then just keep walking. Do not look at what you got until you get back here, okay?" She looked back to see her brother still in the makeshift home.

"Oh, come on, you wuss, it'll be fine. Just you wait until you get the adrenaline pumping, the excitement builds, ooh, it's so fun once you get over the initial fright." She explained, rubbing her hands together. She then eyed her own target, a younger male, who was walking down the street whistling. He had a good rich look to him, and she felt like, using the right technique, she'd be able to get a couple galleons out of him. She smiled.

"While you pickpocket your guy, I'll do mine." She then proceeded to push up her bra, and pump up her hair. She rolled her neck, and opened the holder to her wand, so she was prepared to grab it if a situation were to arise. She looked down the street at another person. "Go after them. They're a good target."
"Ugh" Wyatt groaned as Millie crawled out the window, ignoring the fact that she had attempted to make her breasts bigger, as if that would help. Wyatt sighed and then crawled out after her. He really, really, really didn't want to do this. His feet hit the ground and he was regretting doing this whole thing in the first place.

Wyatt and Millie walked in opposite directions. The rather round woman he was following had a massive handbag, just asking to be pick-pocketed. He pulled his hood over his head and silently crept through the shadows, like he had watched his sister do several times before.

He reached forward, walking in step just behind the woman, his hand was just about to sneak into the bag when th woman turned her head, Her brown eye looked right into his face. "Uh-oh" Wyatt said as the woman shreiked.

Millie walked over to the man, stumbling over him, with a smile on his face. "I'm sorry!" She shouted dumbly, as she looked up at him. "Oh, hey, Can you take me home?" She asked, rolling her neck from side to side. "I'm a little tipsy, just a little bit." She said, showing a small distance behind her fingers. "My boyfriend dumped me, and I'm all alone, and I'm so cold. Can you just hold me?" She said, as she pressed her lips to his. Millie quietly slipped her hand into his coat pocket, securing her fingers around some of the large gold coins, as she felt a vice-grip of his hand on her wrist. She broke from the kiss to see him smiling. She tried to open her fingers to drop the coins back, but his finger was right on a vein, stopping her hand from opening. He smiled, as he pulled out her hand slowly.

"Wow, drunk and a thief. This must be my lucky night!" He said, reaching for his wand. She reached for hers, but without his grip on her wrist loosening, he flipped her around, subduing her arms to her sides, and her back to his chest. She couldn't fold her arms up, and so she did what every other girl would do. She popped her leg up hitting him hard between his legs. From there, she started to run, grabbing out her wand. However, he snatched the end of her braid, pulling her back.

"Ow!" She shouted, as her wand tumbled from her grasp and he threw her over his shoulder. One of his arms held her waist to his shoulder, and the other cast a silencing spell at her face. She wriggled all she could, as he started to whistle and walk away, waving her arm wildly, and trying to shout, trying to get her brother's attention.
Wyatt's eyes grew large as the stout woman's large alligator purse grew closer. He heard a wallet as the skin smashed into his face. The woman hit him again, screaming. "Jesus! OW!" Wyatt sprinted away into the dark while the lady held her purse in both her hands and looked around her. Wy leaned over, his back against the wall, grabbing his nose, hissing, trying not to draw attention to himself.

He heard a struggle further down the street. Wyatt saw underneath a flickering streetlamp, his sister and an older wizard. He had her in an impossible grip, pulling on her braid and her arms. Wyatt had a surge of adrenaline and ran at the two under the flickering light. Wyatt launched himself at the wizard, and pulled his hair. "Don't touch my sister!"

Wyatt grabbed underneath the guy's arms and leaned as far back as he could. The guy let go of Millie's hair and arms and fell back. Wyatt's back hit the concrete and the guy shouted and squirmed. The wind was knocked out of Wyatt and he moaned. He let go of the guy and the wizard did the best he could to stand up and walk away, but it just ended up with the guy getting on his knees and stumbling away.

"Don't even fink about comin' back!" Wyatt yelled, painfully leaning up into a sitting position. He hacked and spit on the asphalt.
Millie smiled when she was finally released, and dropped on the ground. As the man ran away, she smiled as she looked at the golden coins in her hand. She stuffed them in her pocket, as she rushed over to Wyatt, mouthing, "are you okay?" She touched the back of his head, feeling for bumps and bruises but not coming back with any blood. She smiled, as she extended his hand, to help him up, as she walked back down the streets to get her wand, and then walked back to him.

She opened her hand to see the gold coins, and smiled. After all of that, she still got her money. She tucked it into her pocket and then tried to get her message across to Wyatt to reverse the spell that the man had put on her. She didn't like being silent.

Wyatt gasped for breath as Millie rushed over to him. "What's the matter with you?" Wyatt said, as she pulled him up to his feet. He was feeling a little dizzy, but nothing he couldn't manage, his nose certainly hurt though. There was no blood coming from his nostrils, but the bridge was bet the wrong way, left, instead of straight. Wyatt took a deep breath, this was really going to hurt.

Wyatt took two fingers and put on in each nostril, then, with another breath from his mouth, jerked his fingers to the right. He shouted and pulled his hands away from his face. He hissed and growled from the back of his throat. "I'm never goin' that again." Wyatt said, bent over his knees.

Millie was gesturing to her mouth and her throat, and then to her ear, and opened her mouth and tried to speak. Wyatt pulled his still in one piece wand from it's holster on his leg and pointed it at Millie, trying to remember the spell. "Uh...I can't remember."
Millie brought a palm to her face wanting to yell at her brother. You don't remember? You don't remember! She wanted to shout, but instead, just stomped her feet, and and silently yelled. After thirty seconds of having a full blown hissy fit, she crossed her arms, and looked at her brother. Fix me. she mouthed angrily. Millie was always a loud child, and didn't like not having a voice to make noise with.

She looked up and down the street, hoping to see someone who could cast the reversal spell.
"Calm down, you are acting like such a child!" Wyatt said, crossing his arms. "Give me a minute, I'll think of it!" Wyatt said, searching through his brain to remember the reversal to a silencing hex. "Umm... not...no...Oh, I got it!" Wyatt twirled his wand around in his fingers and approached Millie.

Wyatt waved his wand and declaimed the reversal hex. He slid his wand back into it's holster. "There, that should work."
"Finally. God, you know how important my voice is to me!" Millie declared loudly. "So, did you get anything from the old bat?" She said, puling out her coins, showing the galleons. "Look at this. We're eating like kings tonight!" She then tucked the coins back into her pocket, as she tightened her braids. "Come on, let's go back to the building and get some shut eye." She said, as they departed down the street.

"Thanks for doing this, Wyatt. You're pretty awesome." Millie said with a smile, as she put her head on his shoulder.

"Maybe you should get hexed more often." Wyatt said sarcastically. Stretching his back , and wincing. "And yeah, I got a broken nose from that fat cow." Wy said grumpily, rubbing the bridge of his nose tenderly."I am never doing that again without magic." He didn't care that he sounded like a jerk. he was fuming mad at her, but his face and back hurt so much, he didn't care that he was being totally rude.

"And I know I'm awesome, I'm older, and more responsible, but my flaw is that I listen to you." Wyatt said, pulling away from her. He didn't feel like being cuddled with. He half-limped down the street and jumped up into the window. He groaned as his back twisted and his waist squeezed through the small space, not even turning back to see if Millie was behind him.

Wyatt crawled on his hands and knees out of the window and grabbed onto a filing cabinet and straightened himself so his feet would hit the ground first. His sneakers hit the floor and a cloud of dust floated up. he walked through it and collapsed onto his pile of sleeping bags and blankets. He groaned and gritted his teeth and put his head in the crook of his arm, and would try to get some sleep.

"Wyatt, It's really not that bad! I promise it gets better!" Millie yelled after him, as he shimmied back into their home. She huffed as she sat down on the corner of the street. What was she going to do? Hopefully, he'd blow off steam, and stop freaking out over it. That'd be good. She didn't want to do this by herself, and she felt guilty that she dragged him into this in the first place. But then she saw another person come walking down the street, and smiled. She knew she could get some cash out of him.

So, Millie Skinner walked off towards her prey, and into the night.
