Alice wiped at her tears, even allowing a small smile to pass her lips. "Thank you guys." She said, listening to them, feeling a bit more comfortable with her situation. She wrapped her arms around Dessa, and pulled her in close. "Thank you. You're right. You're right, you're right, you're right." She repeated. Though those words were her least favorite words, she felt better about herself, knowing that Dessa thought of her like that.
Alice let go of Dessa, and hugged Shade. Though she barely knew him, he seemed to fill her big-brother hole right now, and that was what she needed. "Thank you, I don't even know what to say. He's, he's important to me. And I think I'm just going to go send a letter to my mother. Check up on his condition. He could be better." She let go. "Thank you."
Alice then went to Ted, pulling him into a hug. "You never know how long you have someone. So, thank you, Ted. You always make me feel better, and I appreciate you. I appreciate all of you." She disengaged from the hug, and stood up, dusting off her skirt, and folding her arms, sniffing her nose. "It's going to be okay."
