"You bet it does," Octavian said, using slang in one of the few circumstances he would.  "You should be glad I even touched you, and that I didn't silence your obnoxious mouth every time I heard you.  I wasn't physically present at the hospital, but I was emotionally," he answered.  While he wasn't there when James was delivered, he apparated home as soon as he could.  Of course, James would never know that, because Octavian would never tell him.

"Do you think I take orders from my son?  No." he answered his own rhetorical question, thrusting P.J. towards Jim.  "Bonding is unnecessary if Paul never remembers it, which he won't."

"How did that work Dad? We're arguing over you holding my son, which I may or may have not had if you'd been there for me when I was a kid. And he'll remember you're face, so hold him while you still can." Jim positioned Paul closer to Octavian. Once PJ could see his grandfather's face he squeed in delight, flailing and kicking and opening and closing his hands.

"Whoa, he's going nuts, that doesn't make you want to smile and think of cotton candy and rainbows? C'mon! He loves you!"
