This recent Hogwarts graduate is still heartbroken that she couldn't join her friends in training for the Auror Corps, but the spunky young woman remains determined to make the best of things. It is with this indomitable spirit that Bethan strikes up a conversation with Isambard Roth, one of the most decorated Obliviators at the Ministry of Magic.Bethan and Sam might seem an unlikely pairing, but it's immediately obvious that the two have found a kindred spirit in each other. Sam relays stories of evil giants and awful Nazis; Bethan listens avidly, freely trading banter and peppering the old man with questions. And when it's time for Sam to be sent on his way, the young barmaid makes sure that her friend can take the Knight Bus home safely.It's just a snapshot in the life, but the chemistry between Bethan and Sam is sure to pave the way for future adventures.
