She is respected by professors and fellow students alike, and even as a sixth year, she has already made a name for herself as both a Gryffindor prefect and her house's Quidditch Captain. But not all is as perfect as it seems in Raine's life: her classmates know that she was once part of a matched set, and that the tragic death of her twin Sanya has drastically affected her.Nuri brings the complexities of Raine's story to life as she weaves the story of the teenaged girl's past into the present unfolding on the board through both flashbacks and present day threads. Raine is forced to deal with the fallout from her sister's murder when Sanya's killer is released from Azkaban. At her seventeenth birthday party, even surrounded by friends, she must deal with unresolved issues when she comes face-to-face with onetime friend Roger.
