Physical Description:
Michael stands at 4 feet and 8 inches tall with a relatively slim stature. His brown hair is short and typically left a little messy or spiked up slightly. His eyes are a chocolate brown. The shape of his face is oval, and his ears are relatively small. His nose is small as well.

While at Hogwarts, Mike usually wears his Hogwarts uniform. At any chance that he gets, he likes to change into muggle clothes which would include a T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. He tries to stay consistent with his hygiene, making sure to take regular showers. Even though he doesn't mind getting dirty, he doesn't like to stay that way for long if he could help it.

Personality Description:
Having been just accepted into Hogwarts and sorted in Gryffindor, Michael is naturally happy and excited. He is talkative and pretty much outgoing, not having any real problems making friends. For the most part, he enjoys spending time with his friends, remaining loyal to them. Therefore, he values his friends being loyal back to him as well. Despite being an eleven year old, he doesn't mind his female year mates, not believing that they have cooties. Since he is too young to be in a relationship, he would become shy if any girl hugged or kissed him.
 
Being a curious individual, Mike enjoys going on adventures and explorations. After all, he is relatively new to Hogwarts and thus would like to find out about the castle's different secrets. He isn't afraid of a little rule breaking and would be more than willing to help participate in troublemaking or a prank with his friends. Since he doesn't like being caught by any of the authority figures of Hogwarts, he would try to sneak by them when possible. Since he doesn't take the time to actually think these actions through, he would typically get caught.
 
Spell-wise, Mike is pretty average. He naturally likes magic and tries to cast spells effectively and carefully. So, he's determined to cast the spells correctly. With regards to any term papers, he tries to complete them correctly. He's determined to try in all of his classes, but hasn't found his favorite one yet. On very rare occasions, he will read a muggle book for fun. But, he doesn't go around advertising this aspect to others. Even though he isn't the smartest in his year, he doesn't like to be told that he is wrong or doing something wrong. It is quite a rare sight for him to ask for help.
 
When Mike is bored in class, he doodles on the parchment used in class. He doesn't consider himself an artist by any stretch. But, he does give it a conceivable effort. Despite his potential doodling during class, he is listening and actually retains more than what you could give him credit for.
 
Mike is loyal and loving to his family as well. Ever since his birth, he has grown up with his twin sister Jessica. He is somewhat protective over his twin sister, just about as protective as one could be as a first year. They get along rather well, despite some sibling rivalry. Out of anyone else in his year, he would be more jealous of his sister if she did better than him. Since he was shown Qudditch as a child, he likes to watch it. But, he is still undecided on if he wanted to tryout for his house's team next year. If he did, he would want to be a keeper.

    Despite not having his sister by his side, Mike finds it rather easy to interact with the other students in his year, and thus has not had any problems making friends within his year. He wouldn't admit it to anyone, except for maybe his sister, but he does miss his parents. So far, he sends home a weekly note home filled with what has been going on with him at Hogwarts. He has found waking up early on the weekdays to be a hard adjustment for him at first, that he has had to try very hard to keep himself awake during some of his classes. To try to remedy this, he had tried to go to bed earlier. But, all the fun happens at night! So, it's a rather delicate balance for him. Yet, on the weekends, he would usually stay in bed for a longer amount of time.

History:
Richard Labell and Katherine Wilcox were lovers since their days in Hogwarts. Richard was a half-blood and Katherine was a muggleborn. Both were Gryffindors, and they were very worried about how the wizarding world was changing fast around them by their graduation in 1995. Voldemort was on the rise, and just living made you a target for his Death Eaters. Worried about their future, the two quickly married in 1996 in a small ceremony at the age of 19, so they wouldn't attract the Death Eaters.
 
Despite their quick marriage, Richard and Katherine were tracked to their flat in early 1997 in Diagon Alley. Two strangers approached their flat and knocked on the door. When Richard answered the door, he was surprised to find the strangers at their doorstep. And, they were asking for a place to stay for the night. It was very suspicious to him, and thus secretly slipped his wand out of his pocket. The confrontation led to an argument between them. In this argument, it was revealed that the strangers were Death Eaters and then drew their wands. Thankfully, Richard already had his wand and thus dueled with the strangers in the corridor.
 
Despite suffering some injuries, Richard was able to hold off both attackers. The two Death Eaters fled. The young couple were very worried by that point, and Richard wanted to keep himself and his newly pregnant wife safe by quitting his job to stay home with her. They quietly relocated to a muggle location, Oulton Broad, Suffolk, England. It was here, on March 3, 1998 that Katherine gave birth to twins Michael and Jessica.
 
Richard was naturally protective over their two children at their birth, knowing that Voldemort was growing stronger. Over the two months time, he made sure that his family was safe. After Voldemort was defeated that May, the family blew a sigh of relief. They didn't need to worry as much about being attacked again.
 
Despite being born during a very dark time in recent history, Michael was anything but dark. Being excited and bubbly from an early age, he has been active as a little child. As a toddler, he liked to run around a bit, occasionally suffering from small scrapes and bruises. For the most part, he wasn't too rough with his sister Jessica. Aside from the usual sibling rivalry, they got along together often going on explorations together around their home. He considered these explorations to be more like mini adventures around their home.
 
Katherine insisted that her children would be educated in the muggle education system, especially now that Voldemort was gone from their lives. So, Mike and Jessica were both sent to a muggle primary school close to where they lived on Oulton Broad. He was able to make friends with some of the muggle school children. But, he was always a bit loud and excited. His parents even received occasional reports of his loud behavior at school.
 
By age nine, Mike showed his first sign of magic while at the muggle primary school. He was reaching for a book in the library, but couldn't quite reach the book on the shelf. Suddenly, the whole row came crashing down on him and caused a big mess. He ended up with a few bruises from that encounter. His parents were happy that he showed the sign of magic.

Since his sister experienced her sign of magic around the same time, their parents explained about Hogwarts and how they were a wizard and a witch. Richard showed both of his children Qudditch, and they were able to gather in a secluded area close to where they lived to practice flying and discussing what Qudditch actually was.
 
Upon entering Hogwarts, Michael was sorted into Gryffindor. But, his sister Jessica was sorted into Ravenclaw. He was saddened that he wasn't going to be in the same house as his sister. Nevertheless, he awaits beginning his first year at Hogwarts.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?:
Michael fits into his house because he is brave and daring, as is shown when he goes out exploring and adventuring. He is determined with his schoolwork to complete it correctly. He cannot be a Slytherin, since he doesn't exert a lot of ambition. He isn't overly intelligent or creative, so he cannot be in Ravenclaw. While he is loyal, he doesn't fully fit the profile of a hard worker that is shown in Hufflepuffs.
