[December 27] We need help (Closed) on January 26, 2013, 02:58:51 PM Chloe hobbled into the Three Broomsticks, happy to have found refuge. She helped Mason through the door, breathing heavily, her hands freezing. "Hello?" She called out. "We need help!" She shouted, hoping someone would come and help. Odds are someone knew a healing spell or two. And Mason needed it. He was so courageous, she couldn't even handle it. Heads started to turn in the restaurant, as they hobbled in from the cold. Even if someone didn't know a healing spell, she'd just need someone who could preform magic legally. Someone who didn't have the trace on them. The older kid that had help them let go of his other arm as the trio entered the pub, and he bolted out the door. Mason felt very nauseous, he could feel his head swelling from where the guy had karate kicked him. "Chloe?" He said, trying with as much effort as he could to try not to sound like an idiot. "It's really loud" ...So much for not sounding like and idiot. Mason blinked several times, but it didn't help. He his his injured wrist on a pub table he winced through gritted teeth, "Shit, that hurt." People were sick of shopping, Beth supposed, and she couldn't blame them, seeing as she'd been sick of shopping even before she'd started. Everyone was likely still plastered from Boxing Day (at least if everyone else celebrated the way her parents did), and had to try and sober up before New Years Eve, when they would resume flooding the pubs. The Three Broomsticks was a stop on nearly everyone's pub crawl, because it had both historical value and, in the case of Hogwarts students, came with a dose of nostalgia. All that to say, it was a slow day at the bar, though the kitchen was catering to the few guests staying in the inn over the holiday. Bethan was bored... but happy enough to be bored for a while. She'd made herself a little fizzy drink with some grenadine in it, and just a touch of cointreau, which she was hiding on the bar in front of her. There would be folks in soon enough, once the next big meal rolled around, and she'd have to down it fast and get rid of the evidence, but at the moment she was unconcerned. When she heard the faint sound of the front door swishing open and the wind blowing in she wasn't terribly bothered, and didn't feel any pressing need to look up. She was busy stirring up her drink with her straw, trying to get the liquid to spin fast enough to carry the straw around with it. It was tough work being a barmaid.”We need help!” Beth did look up at that, her head popping up, a puzzled, squinty eyed expression on her face. “It's seat yourselves, like,” she called back, though whoever was shouting had her attention. There was something not quite right about the way the girl's voice had sounded – it wasn't 'rude patron' as much as it was 'scared kid.' Pushing up and away from where she was leaning, Beth stepped out from behind the bar and slipped between tables until she was over by the front door, that puzzled look still coloring her features. As soon as she spotted the boy, however, she didn't look so confused anymore. So her instincts had been correct. Things were no longer quite so slow and boring at the old 'Broomsticks today. “What happened?” Beth asked, reaching for her wand in her apron pocket, more or less out of instinct. “You splinch or something?” It seemed likely – this was a familiar scene from back in the days of school apparition lessons. Bleeding schoolchildren were hardly a new sight in her life. “Do you need some... napkins?” she asked, sounding uncertain as she stuck out a hand and used it to lean causally on the table next to her. She didn't seem particularly fussed. She was a teenage barmaid, not a triage healer – as a rule she was much better at incurring bleeding wounds than fixing them up. She didn't know enough about the topic to panic properly, which, perhaps, was for the best. Do you even know what splinching is? I'm pretty sure he has all of his limbs." She shot back angrily. Mason wasn't doing well, as his temple started to swell. His nose was no longer bleeding, which was nice, but now, it was just coated in dried blood. His wrist was clearly broken, and by the way he was clutching his side, something told her his ribs had been better off before. "We were mugged, when walking in an alley. No clue why, the guy only attacked Mason. He's not doing well, poor kid." She pulled out a chair, motioning him to sit down. "We're both students at Hogwarts. A family friend brought us here to go shopping, but she won't be back for another hour." Chloe took one of the bandages the older kid had given them earlier. She sat down next to her friend, wrapping his wrist slowly. "Look, we need healing spells. And if you can't think of a single one, I can probably tell you which ones we need." She didn't like how casual this girl was being. Skip to next post Re: [December 27] We need help (Closed) Reply #4 on January 28, 2013, 12:01:51 PM Mason, with Chloe's help, managed himself into the chair. Mason was only slightly aware of what was going on, but the waitress whom had met them at the entrance was asking if he's been splinched. "I wish." Mason mumbled, exhaling as the chair absorbed his weight. Chloe was being as bossy and wonderful as usual, maybe it was because he had no direction, and she had all the answers, they would be perfect together, but it wasn't to be, as long as Heinrich V.J. Faust stood in the way. Mason had seen what he had done to Rohan last month, and he would not let that happen to him.A lot of things had changed this year, Sonny was being more sociable, he had actually punched someone, more than once, and he had gotten a girl friend, but only for a little while, anyways. But, he kind of wished this wasn't one of those unlucky change-y things that would happen more and more often, he hoped this was a one-time thing. It also wasn't helping Mason's confidence when Chloe referred to him as 'poor guy' or 'best friend a girl could have', he was perpetually stuck in the friendzone with this one."Look, we need healing spells. And if you can't think of a single one, I can probably tell you which ones we need."She really was bossy and wonderful. Mason gulped in air and recited with out hesitation. "Brackium Emendo[1], Episkey[2], and Ferula[3]. You can use Tergeo for cleaning up the blood." Even when he was half-conscious, his wizarding knowledge never failed him. 1. Fixes arm bones, didn't go so well for HP when Lockhart tried it. 2. spell to treat mild to moderate injuries including split lips and broken noses 3. binds and splints fractures Skip to next post Re: [December 27] We need help (Closed) Reply #5 on January 28, 2013, 01:05:28 PM Bethan was not particular impressed by the girl's angry shouting, and it didn't serve to get her blood boiling any hotter. She just gave her a look, quirking her lip like she smelled something rotten, still perching casually on the table. “Is it only limbs you can splinch these days?” she asked, glancing at the boy, “Tell that to my left ear, like. Left it behind on the second day of apparition class – I didn't have enough... whatsis... deliberation?” she asked with a lopsided smirk, lifting her free hand up to touch the ear, which had been repaired quite promptly. She released a little sigh through her nose and stood up straight, taking a step closer toward the blood covered kid, still addressing the ginger. “You don't have to go getting cross at me. All I know is I sees a kid with blood on him, isn't it? And that's all I got to work with, like. So cut me some slack.” ”We were mugged, when walking in an alley. No clue why, the guy only attacked Mason. He's not doing well, poor kid. We're both students at Hogwarts. A family friend brought us here to go shopping, but she won't be back for another hour.”“Is that a fact?” Beth asked, incredulously but not disbelievingly, glancing toward the door as though she expected to see the mugger standing there and waving. No such luck. She supposed it wasn't impossible that there was some grimy mugger out on the streets of Hogsmeade, but it seemed weak, going after a kid like that. “May as well go steal the stings from a baby billywig, the coward,” Beth spat, her ire apparent. ”Look, we need healing spells. And if you can't think of a single one, I can probably tell you which ones we need.”“Look, mate,” she spoke, addressing the boy this time, once he'd given her a litany of spells to choose from, “I don't know if I should be the one healing you, like. It's only that I can't promise I won't make it worse. I'm more of a destroyer than a healer. I never liked healers, and I'm sure I don't want to be one. But if you can keep from dying for maybe thirty seconds, I know where one is,” she informed him, making her way back through the tables, her voice ringing throughout the dining room as she called out “Hey, Anna? Anna?” Skip to next post Re: [December 27] We need help (Closed) Reply #6 on February 06, 2013, 01:14:56 PM “Hey, Anna? Anna?”From the other side of the Three Broomsticks the noise of the diners had managed to muffle the commotion near the door. She was just finishing taking an order and slipped her notepad and quill into her apron pocket. When Anna heard her name though, she glanced over at Bethan curiously wondering what could possibly be going on. After the unexpected encounter she had the previous day during her shift nothing would surprise her. Turning back to the patrons she said, "I'll have this out to you shortly."Walking away from the table towards Bethan it only took a moment for her to notice the young man slouched at one of the tables. It was clear he had been attacked given the dried blood on his face. Looking back to Bethan she gave her a small nod of recognition."What happened?" she asked when she got close enough, positioning a chair so she could examine the young man's wounds. "I'm Anna, by the way...I used to work as a healer. I can help you, but I need a bit more information." Looking more closely at the young man and the young woman he was with she guessed they were both students. She didn't recognize either immediately so she doubted either had ended up in her old office at Hogwarts. However she was certain she would be taking a trip to the castle to inform the staff of what happened and any treatments the teens might receive. And some man jumped out of no where and attacked us. I got out unscathed, but Mason didn't. He was thrown against a wall a couple times, and in real rough shape." She said, a sad look on her face."We were brought here by a family friend. She isn't going to be back for an hour, and we needed help. I guess I just ran to the first place I though would have help." She went about resetting the bones, hoping it wouldn't prove too painful without the help of potions for pain. She would surely be a bit more cautious on her way back to her cottage."He's a good friend, and I'm hoping you can take care of him."Anna offered a reassuring smile, finishing her examination of the boy's wrist she said, "I would recommend a visit to St. Mungo's just to be sure nothing is missed.
