So the punch had finally been spiked. Several glasses ago. Kelvin hadn't quite realized it at the first one. He'd never really had anything other than slightly watered down wine. But a couple glasses of punch later he was sure. The punch had been spiked and he was tipsy. He'd lost Lua a while back, and had mostly taken to wandering around, enjoying the music but staying out of the crowd. He was glad the punch had been spiked though. It wasn't his fault that he was tipsy. It was whoever had spiked the punch. Perfect excuse. And he didn't have to worry about the next day either. It was the perfect opportunity to do something Kelvin would never had otherwise done. Well, he probably would have with Connor....no. No thinking about Connor tonight. He thought as he looked into the crowd and saw Connor's head. Well he wasn't going to be rude.
He moved toward the boy, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Hey Conno--" The boy turned around, it was not Connor. It was an older Hufflepuff. "Opps, Sorry. Thought you were someone else." His words weren't slurred. No, he was definitely not slurring, he thought as he backed away from the older boy hoping that his face wasn't too red from the embarrassment he felt. He put a hand up to his face, his skin felt warmer than usual. Gah, he hated when he blushed bright red. He turned around to find another punch bowl. Maybe one that hadn't been spiked. He definitely needed a cup to hide his face in. He walked to the nearest line, only to look up and see Connor standing in front of him. The actual one this time, he was sure of it. "Merlin's balls" He though he said softly. Wait, that wasn't polite. He couldn't be rude to Connor. "Hey Connor." He said, rubbing his eyes. Yep that was his friend in front of him. And okay, he'd admit he might have slurred a bit. It wasn't his fault. Someone'd spiked the punch.
