Physical Description:
Octavian is considered to be tall, and no one else thinks differently as he always stands with an unusually straight posture.  He is somewhat stocky, so his long, muscular arms and legs fit well with his build.  He has sideburns that reach all the way to his graying stubble of a beard that lines the bottom of his face.  A small mustache lays below his nose, and a head of light brown hair covers the top of his head.

Octavian usually wears suits to his occupation at the Ministry of Magic, the variety of colors and styles ranging from pinstripe to solid hues, and no more.  He has about 2 dozen wide, thin, long, or short ties, however never wears any patterned ties, preferring simple designs over those that are complicated.  During formal occasions, he will always wear a classic tuxedo along with black dress shoes and pants.  He has several different pairs of cuff links, having square, circular, and even a pair of triangular links.  All of them are sterling silver or twenty-four carat gold.

Personality Description:
Octavian holds himself with an air of aristocratic pride, and encourages his children to be prim and proper as he is, and is easily angered by Jim and Annette's occasional defiance.  He constantly pesters James to work with him at the Ministry of Magic, and disproves of 'Nette's relationship with Alexandra McGee greatly, as he despises animals and, therefore, hates werewolves as well. 

He tends to fret over clothing and appearance, claiming that image is everything.  He enjoys hosting dinner parties in the night hours, and loves a slow dance with his wife and a shot or two of Scotch.  He has very simple pleasures, liking simplicity.

He is very snobby, and has a very high ego, thinking of himself to be perfect.  His pride is often what causes him to do irrational things.  If he were to be called "chicken" by anyone for being to afraid to do anything, he would man up and do it.

History:
Octavian was raised in an aristocratic family.  His parents, Bruce Lotusorder and Annette Parkins were very rich and lived in a large mansion in Bath.  Octavian had one brother, named Augustus.  Augustus was a nice boy, but was always in the shadow of Octavian and his countless academic accolades.  Despite their differences, Octavian loved his brother.

Octavian's years at Hogwarts were fantastic.  He scored O's on every one of his exams, and generally found friends with students of his social class.  He liked Hogwarts, but was excited to move on to bigger and better things.

Octavian found a job soon after he left his parents for a different home, always finding employment at the Ministry of Magic, starting as an intern and going up from there.  He worked hard, and found himself a job in the apparation test centre.  He enjoys his job very much and has had it since he earned it, however, he still strives for promotion.

During an assignment at a circus regarding muggle transports at a public place,  he met a beautiful woman around his young age.  They stroke up a conversation, and Octavian fell in love with the woman quite quickly.  He didn't care if she was a muggle or not, and asked her to a fancy dinner at an expensive restaurant in London.

After many "dates" and about a year-long relationship, Octavian confessed his being a wizard, and even took Annette to his job at the ministry.  She had trouble processing the truth, but eventually accepted it.  Soon after, Octavian built up enough courage to propose to the girl.

While Octavian was elated with his marriage, his brother, Augustus, had been attacked by a werewolf.  When he read the news, Octavian couldn't believe it, and instantly hated werewolves for it.  Soon after, his brother passed away.

They had two children, James Kane Lotusorder first, then Annette Marlowe Lotusorder, and moved to Oulton Broad for a more rural environment in an old family home.  They continued to live in Oulton Broad and have yet to relocate to a different location.

Describe your job duties and how you go about them:
Octavian is a worker at the apparition test centre and he works to make apparition the safest mode of transport.   They're currently testing out a splinching theory that may eliminate splinching once and for all.  He also approves apparition test grades to allow young wizards to apparate.

Elaborate on your expertise in your field:
Octavian is a very capable man and can multitask under pressure.  He is very intelligent and is excellent at both following directions and giving them, and is kind to patrons.  He has been able to keep his job for a long time due to his faithfulness to the ministry. 

He was selected for his job mostly because of his organization, quick wits, intelligence, ability to multitask, and loyalty to the ministry.  Octavian plans to minimize the amount of splinching per year in his test centre.
