Frank,

Hope you survived the train ride and made it home safely. I had a little too much safety... I was brought into a van with at least 10 other people and sat there for a 3 hour ride home, it was VERY crowded. Never get in a vehicle with 6th years... especially ones who have boyfriends and girlfriends.

There was also the initial mushy gushy stuff when I arrived home. Wet kisses and hugs from my Mom, Honestly it's embarrassing. I can tell that your laughing right now, I hope you got the same thing.

My father decided to come home early last night so we start setting up for Christmas. I really don't want anything, usually I get cool stuff each year so it's ALWAYS a surprise. What do you want for Christmas? We might have it.

Well it snowed recently ad you know what that means. If you don't then I spell it for you S.N.O.W.B.A.L.L  F.I.G.H.T I can already hear something out side, gotta go.

Your friend,
Jack

Of course it's full of grammar mistakes and somewhat legible handwriting but really, when you were 11 I bet you wrote just as messy.

Jack,

Home in London! Bored already! Get your parents to let you come over.  My brother can take us to Diagon.

Hoping for a broom this Christmas since I'm pretty sure I passed Flying.  And there's a couple books I want from Flourish and Blotts and ANYTHING FROM WEASLEYS.  I could really use some of that darkness powder.

Mum picked us up but we went straight back to the Apothecary.  We were there all night helping with that.  I actually don't hate it, but I was just tired.  Mum says we'll be in the shop a lot unless Figaro will take me back and forth and he's a git so he probably won't.

Bye!
Frank

Frank,

I'm sorry but I don't think I can see you until school.[1] It's just that really bad things have happened over the night, somethings I just can't bear to write. I'm sorry.

Maybe when I feel better and everything is back to normal we can hang out. I'll try to write, when I'm feeling up to it.

I hate it here.
Jack
 1. Jack begins to tear up

The letter has a few tear drops over it, a crumpled top right corner, and a huge smear over the last sentence so Frank can't read it.

If I feel up to it, I'll tell you at school. For now hug your parents tight next time you see them, keep your friends close and be safe
