    Physical Description:
Caitlyn stands at a short 5' 4", two inches shorter than Cynthia unfortunately! She has wrinkles on the corners of her eyes from smiling so much in the past ten or fifteen years, it's been a good run and the joy she once had shows through the wrinkles on her face.

She has light, toned skin and dark brown hair, typically left straight to fall to her shoulder blades. Her eyes are a warm brown color.

    Personality Description:
If you asked someone, they would tell you Caitlyn is sweet and caring. They would tell you she loves her kids and adores her husband. Ask her best friends, and they could tell you a family is all she's ever dreamed of having. But recent events have caused her to drive a wedge between herself and her daughter.

Still, she attends church faithfully; a Christian, all-loving, all-accepting church. Her faith used to be unshakable, but she's recently been losing touch with her faith, even though she tries very hard to keep a faithful connection in her life.

She sometimes has a short temper, and will easily snap at someone if things aren't going her way. Her husband has mastered these tempers, and he is one of the few people that know what to say to cool her down.

    History:
Caitlyn Houtaine was born on July 13th 1964. She is the daughter of Francine and Joe, Francine a squib and Joe a muggle. She has an older sister, Cynthia. (Mum and Dad really liked the 'C' names.)

Caitlyn adored her big sister, and grew to be very close to her. But, like older siblings, she was sort of overprotective. Caitlyn resented it, but would never tell Cynthia in fear of losing their sisterly bond. Caitlyn liked doing dangerous, stupid things; Cynthia did not like it when Caitlyn did dangerous, stupid things.

The older she got, the more calculating she became; realizing consequences for her actions and seeing how upset she could make Cynthia, which she tried to avoid at all costs. She was jealous when her big sister started to show signs of being a witch, it was upsetting her because she knew how much her parents hated magic. The little six year old knew enough that because Cynthia was magical, it would make mommy very upset.

Little Caitlyn was bewildered when she learned that Cynthia would be going to a big girl school without her, and she fawned over the letter from Hogwarts with big brown eyes and an innocent smile. But the day Cynthia left was a really rough day for Caitlyn. She cried, a lot. Nothing could be done to soothe the little girl, because all she wanted was her sister.

After Cynthia had been dealt with, Francine and Joe packed up their lives and moved away from their old house, still staying nearby, but hoping to escape anything magical left behind that would 'infect' Caitlyn. Cait found that her mother spent much more time with her now that Cynthia was gone. She was constantly teaching her 'how to be a lady'. Or something like that. Caitlyn resented the cooking, the cleaning, and the sewing. It was all boring housework to her. She wanted to run around outside for crying out loud!

When she finally turned eleven, Francine seemed to get more agitated, her patience ran shorter, and she was constantly hovering around her daughter. When she went in to the bathroom one day to make sure her daughter had drained her bubble bath, she found that each bubble had been turned into bright rainbow colors, some were even emitting sparks. Two hours later, she found Caitlyn in her closet, bawling her eyes out. The little girl clawed at her mother’s leg, begging to stay, begging not to be sent away forever. Francine would have none of it, and barely spoke to her magical daughter until the day she dropped her off at the train station, where Caitlyn would be shipped off to school.

Caitlyn chose an empty car, sitting in the corner with her legs tucked into her chest, her chin resting on her knees. The tears fell slowly, steadily, as the train pulled out of the station. No one came in to sit with her; she sat alone, a silent first year wishing she was anywhere but here.

Once they arrived, Caitlyn was sorted into Hufflepuff; a once brave and fun-loving little girl transformed into a resigned and quiet child. As they retreated from the great hall, she noticed a familiar head of brown hair, a flash of that warm and reassuring smile; it was Cynthia. For the first time in months, Caitlyn broke into a smile, sprinting towards his sister and hugging her tightly.

A professor, who soon learned of the girl's situation, allowed them to go to her office, as the school tried to find out where their parents were. Caitlyn told Cynthia everything, how nice mom had been before she stopped speaking to her once they found out she was magical, it was a long tale to tell, but Cynthia listened to her sister's every word, both girls realizing how much of each other’s lives they had missed. From then on, they had a plan to meet every day at the same time when they both were free to do so; Caitlyn slowly grew to smile more, and her almost daily tears dried soon after.

Her Hogwarts years were very uneventful; she spent the winters at the castle and the summers with Cynthia. Once Cynthia graduated, Caitlyn would spend summers with her at her new apartment. Caitlyn suffered in DADA, even with help from her older sister, but she excelled in charms, where she could memorize spells in a lighter atmosphere. After graduating, Caitlyn moved into a small flat by herself, working as a Barista in a small restaurant in London. Soon, she was celebrating the birth of her first nephew, darling little Mark.

One day, Caitlyn met George and fell in love.

One day, George met Caitlyn and fell in love.

George, a liaison working with MI6, constantly found excuses to be with Caitlyn, and to go the restaurant where she worked. Soon, they ended up dating. Some would say a three year relationship would be too long, but after three years of going steady, George finally plucked up the courage to propose.

Caitlyn's first pregnancy was when she was 29, but it ended in a short, tragic miscarriage. It drove a wedge between the couple, but they soon found their spark again five years later when Alexandra was born, a darling daughter with her daddy's eyes and a love for anything shiny.
Four years later, the supposedly infertile Caitlyn gave birth to twins, every doctor they talked to said it was a miracle, nothing less. Joshua and Lucas finished off the McGee children, making the household busy with the four year old and two newborns.

Caitlyn lived right next door to her sister, and the Hunter's and McGee's often had big family dinners together, the majority orchestrated by Cynthia, with help from Caitlyn.

They grew even closer with their two daughters, Alexandra and Alice, cousins a few months apart and practically attached at the hip. One day, Alexandra declared that she was to be called Lexi, and nobody dared to defy the fiery nine year old.

Two years later, life fell apart for Caitlyn. A camping trip gone wrong brought her daughter home with a nasty scar and a new taste for rare meat. George was able to take this in stride, Caitlyn..... Not so much. She built up a resistance to her daughter; much like her own mother had done to her and Cynthia. This new found, cold hearted hatred for the little Were in her house tore apart her relationship with Cynthia.

Once best friends, they now constantly argued, or didn't talk at all. Caitlyn had all but disowned her own child, and all Cynthia could think of was how much Francine had really affected Caitlyn. Being alone for six years with a woman who said anything different is dangerous; well it could really influence you.

Caitlyn was now in a downward spiral, grabbing onto anyone she could and ruining whatever relationship she had with them. It was painful, and hard; and she's still tearing things apart now.

Describe your job duties and how you go about them: Stays at home, home schools Joshua and Lucas. Skilled in cooking/cleaning. Generally keeps the home in order.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Caitlyn used to be a brave and excitable little girl. Her childhood and how her parents raised her left her hard, calloused and meek. She depends heavily on her family, and she is lost without her older sister, even though she would never admit it. Somewhere inside of her, she wants to make amends for her actions; but her harsh closed mind on her view of werewolves hasn't provided an opportunity for these amends.
