Physical Description:

Arthur Lemon is a man of average height, at 5'10''. His build was once sturdy and robust; that of an athlete's. Now it is less muscular though far from portly. He is lean in the legs and weak in the joints- a man physically aging beyond his years.

This can also be noted by the early greying of hair. Arthur has short and thick peppered hair. During his imprisonment in Azkaban (and now St.Mungo's) he has sported a substantial beard. His facial features are strong and definitive. Perhaps even handsome in a certain light but from all perspectives, surely unkind.  His eyes are lit with an erratic and calculative glimmer.

The wizard carries himself quietly: self-contained with his shoulders brought in and his back braced against a non-existent burden. He wears plain black or blue robes; failing in that, shoddy suits bought in even shoddier shops. Arthur speaks in a low deep voice, free of a Scottish accent, but is known to shriek in high-pitched yells when manic or angered.
 

Personality Description:

In his youth, Arthur had been an easygoing lad. He was not a popular boy at Hogwarts but as a materially poor Pureblood, brooked no haughty argument with those not in the house of Slytherin.

He has changed much since then. Today he is a bitter man who carries his pains as if though they were fresh. Arthur does not speak in long sentences when he is in a controlled mood- spoken answers are usually "yes" or "no" or "get out." Much of his thoughts are in monologue, a discussion between several selves with the loudest of them all winning each time. Usually also the angriest.

When a touchy subject is brought up- blood purity, the wizarding war, family - Arthur's temper flares. He is inherently aggressive and quickly resorts to magical violence.


History:

Arthur Lemon was born, eldest son to a modest pureblood family in the Scottish highlands. The Lemons dabbled mostly in wizarding agriculture, farming and Dragon taming alongside the MacFusty clan.  He was raised in the city of Aberdeen for most of his childhood and then the city of Glasgow, in the year before being sent to Hogwarts.

At school, Arthur was sorted into the house of Slytherin. His other siblings would later be sorted into the house of Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw- leaving him quite alone amongst much richer, more hostile characters. Life amongst them hardened him and made him aware of blood politics; of the discrimination. And in his own way Arthur rather believed in the ideals his housemates propagated. He believed that halfborns and mudbloods were less worthy, that the pure elite rightfully deserved their esteem.

However, he did not have the spine to follow through with such ideals. Arthur knew muggleborns and halfbloods whose personalities he not only liked but also respected. Even from his first year, it split him apart from those in Slytherins who would eventually graduate and side with the Dark Lord.

Arthur was still young during the years of the first Wizarding War and he largely avoided becoming involved. Indeed, much of his time was spent consolidating the safety of his younger brothers and that of his family in Scotland. After Hogwarts and the war, he went on to work at various wizarding inns across the country. In 1989, he purchased a derelict building in the outskirts of London and set up a tavern for magical communities that did not live close to the city center. It was not satisfying work but Arthur felt that he was contributing to his society in some way.

In the years leading up to (as well as during) the second wizarding war, the wizard began receiving multiple visits from those who had once been Death Eaters or Lord Voldermort's followers. They often left his home in ill condition- and with time they had left their target himself with dire injury. Inflicted by the Crucio curse among other forms of torture, Arthur Lemon had essentially been broken by these men.

Even following the Dark Lord's defeat, he did not recover from these effects. The pain administered had left him with a kind of paranoia-- and a manic distrust of muggleborns. In his distorted mind, Arthur blames his sympathy of muggleborns as the sole reason for the attacks. He blames himself for never standing up to protect his 'true' beliefs.

The wizard spent the following years with various relatives who attempted to care for him, though his condition only worsened. He was largely kept from muggle populations- in those instances when they were encountered, it often lead to their unfortunate demise.

In 2007, Arthur came to live with his brother on a largely isolated wizarding farm in Oxfordshire. Here, he committed the murder of one Sanya Almasy after which his nephew (Roger Lemon) and Raine Almasy proceeded to apprehend him. He was sent to Azkaban prison in August of that year.

Arthur's lawyers - recently replaced by those affiliated with the WBA - initiated an appeal for released on the grounds of insanity in November of 2009. He is currently being monitored in a private ward at St.Mungo's Hospital, London.
