As new and returning participants of the weekly Tarot Seminar
[1] arrived to their classroom on the sixth floor, they were greeted by the woody scent of incense. The long, wooden tables were pushed against the far wall and the small, round divination tables were pulled out to the room's center, all adorned with blue silks.
As always, the table at the front of the room housed various decks of cards for the participants to use if they needed.
"Welcome back," Eamonn greeted as another small group of people entered. "Please pair up in groups of two and join a table together. We'll be doing some readings today, continuing our conversation alongside a practical dissection of a reading - from the spread to the interpretation of individual cards. Hopefully this works to do as a group, to pitch questions and carry on a larger conversation as we get into the practice of it. I'll encourage you to think of a low-stakes question to ask the Tarot for the purpose of this investigation."
