This match is not being role-played out because of a dirth (or weariness) of writers to fill the roles, however the match did go on! Read on for a recap of the action, written with input from both teams!
Hufflepuff finally made a proper stand on the pitch. Under new captain Angie Lemon and with a few more practices under their broom, the Hufflepuff team was able to play a respectable match against the more experienced, better trained, and victory-minded Slytherin squad.
It was not easy for Hufflepuff to make their first goal, especially under the near-constant barrage of bludgers from Slytherin Beaters Naomi Foley and Gracie Slant who worked in cunning unison. It took Hufflepuff until the thirty-minute mark to get the Quaffle past the Slytherin Keeper - Slytherin had already scored twice by that time.
However, the match wasn't without its problems on both sides. Hufflepuff Chaser Figaro Sellaphix was called early on a haversacking foul, then again for interfering with one of Slant's bludgers. And while it wasn't a foul, so to speak, Hufflepuff Seeker Heliotrope LeJean seemed to want a new perspective on the pitch and spent most of the time flying upside down. And even Captain Angie Lemon showed that being a young witch doesn't matter - she took her share of bludgers, but kept on flying.
Slytherin had it's own issues. Chaser Casey O'Doherty looked quite ill the whole match and was eventually grounded after colliding with Sellaphix, both of them after the Quaffle. Slytherin Seeker Erin Harper took quite a hit when flying too close to a goal hoop while in pursuit of the Snitch.
But when it came to ending the match and getting the points, it seemed that Harper's more conventional
upright technique won the day over LeJean's new innovation - Slytherin took the snitch at 1 hour and thirteen minutes.
