Teagan was leaning against a tree in the courtyard, her eyes flying furiously across the pages of her textbook.  Being as nerdy as she was, Teagan was reading over her astronomy book, memorizing the details of the planets and constellations - not for a particular test or homework...but just for fun!  She was so entranced, her mind no longer anywhere near Hogwarts, but flying high above, somewhere in the solar system.  There was noise of people laughing and talking around her, but none of it registered in her brain.  At that particular moment, it was safe to say that Teagan was not available; she was completely on another planet.
 

[1]Chloe ran up to Teagan, just the girl she wanted to see. Her ankle was feeling much better after a few healing spells in the hospital wing after being helped up to the castle by Shade O'Connor. "Teagan! Hey!" She called, approaching the dark haired girl. As she approached, she saw Teagan in deep thought, her nose in a book. "Teagan? Hey, you there? Earth to Teagan?" Chloe joked.

She waved a hand near her face, seeing if that would break her trance.

1.	Hey, you may want to add a date! I thought this would take place like, December 5th-ish, since thats when I talk to Shade. Whatever, though!

Entranced in her astronomy book, Teagan was completely oblivious of Chloe's presence until the girl shoved a hand in her face.  She was so startled, she jerked back into the trunk of the tree, hitting her head.  "Oh! Chloe!  It's you!" she said, giggling uncontrollably.  "Ouch!" 
Putting down her book reluctantly, she asked: "What's up?  How's the ankle?"

"You alright, Teagan? You really bumped your head right there." She said, with slight concern. It was never fun to bump your head, and Chloe absolutely hated it when she did it.

"What's up?  How's the ankle?"

God, news traveled fast at this school! She put her weight on her other foot, and twisted the once hurt ankle, rolling it around. "As good as new." She said, grounding herself on two feet. "Nagade knows what she's doing. Casted a few spells, and bing bam, we were done."

"So, Teagan, I know that you're sometimes a little lonely," She extended her arms. "And I'm not saying that's a bad thing! I mean, well, I have this guy friend. Who I am putting on a blind date. But here's the problem. I need to find that blind date."

She shrugged her shoulders. "If you're interested, he's absolutely adorable, and a total gentleman. You two would be great together."

"Oh!  Good!  I'm glad," Teagan said, getting up to greet Chloe.  "And I'm okay," she said, giggling some more.

When Chloe mentioned her being lonely, Teagan frowned slightly.  "I'm not that lonely.."  Her eyes widened at the mention of a blind date though.  "A...blind..date?  Me?"  She seemed to hesitate, unsure of what to think of it.  And then she decided:  Actually, Chloe was right; she was lonely.  She wanted some love!  She wanted some kissy kissy, as she felt she had just about waited long enough.

"Hm..interesting," she said, still looking like she was pondering over the question.  "So...I'm guessing I'm not allowed to know who it is, right?"  A small smile started curling up her lips.  Even if it was "blind", it would still be a date.  Teagan wouldn't mind that; she definitely was in the mood for a date.

"Okay!!" she exclaimed happily, jumping into Chloe's arms.  "Yay!  This is going to be fun," she said. 

"I'm not that lonely.. A...blind..date?  Me?"

"Yes you, Teagan! You are perfect for him! He's a nice guy, I promise." Chloe smiled. She crossed her fingers. "Oh, please? Please, please please? It'll make me, and more importantly him happy, and, well, you've got to!" She squealed, a teenager kind of thing to do.

"So...I'm guessing I'm not allowed to know who it is, right?"

"Of course not, Teagan! How would that be a blind date then? Don't worry though. Sweet guy. Pretty protective, but adorable." She raised her eyebrows. "And I'm pretty sure he doesn't have that much experience, so that means he's not so picky." She raised hands defensively. "Of course, I mean, he doesn't need to be picky! But, you know, you can't really screw this up, not that you would." She put a hand to her head. "I'm sorry, I can't even say the right stuff."

She clapped her hands when Teagan agreed. "Oh awesome. This'll be perfect! Wear something adorable, and oh! you need a red flower. An adorable red flower. He will be wearing one too!"

"I'll do it!!" Teagan screamed happily, squeezing Chloe's hands.  "Wow, this is so exciting.  You'll need to help me pick a dress!  And..hm, maybe I've got to buy some new shoes as well," Teagan said, her voice becoming inaudible as she started pacing and talking to herself.

"...Protective?  Hm," she said, looking thoughtful.  "Anyway...yay!  This is gonna be great!" she yelled, completely missing Chloe's awkward and slightly insulting comments.

"And..if everything goes well, we'll be able to go to the ball together!  Aww, it'll be the best Yule Ball ever."  Beaming, Teagan sank down again by the tree, seemingly lost in reverie.  "Oh! Oh!" she squeaked suddenly, getting up again.  "When is it?  I've got to write it in my agenda.  Should I bring cupcakes?  Do I have time to make cupcakes?  Or would it be more appropriate to bring some chocolate?  I could get chocolate.." Teagan was once again lost to Chloe, talking to herself as she paced around the tree trunk, as excited as she's ever been!

Chloe smiled at her friend's excitement. "Okay, great! Dresses are good. You know, I feel like you'd look good in a green, or or or! A blue dress!" She clapped happily. "This is going to be ADORABLE!"

She tilted her head with a smile on her face. "You two will be the cutest couple there, don't worry. Like, you'll be all dressed up, swinging around, and he'll be all like, 'You're so gorgeous'."

When is it?

Chlo started to think. "I actually don't really know. What about tonight? Room of Requirement? I think that could work." She shrugged her shoulders. "Is that okay with you?"

Should I bring cupcakes?  Do I have time to make cupcakes?  Or would it be more appropriate to bring some chocolate?  I could get chocolate.."

Chloe smiled. "No, don't bring anything. I'm going to be supplying everything, don't worry! All you need to do is appear, and dine!" She smiled again, squealing. "This. Is. Going. To. Be. ADORABLE!"

Teagan jumped up and down in place, clapping her hands.  She hadn't been so excited in a long time.  "Oh, I have a green dress that would be perfect for this occasion," she  said excitedly.  "Room of Requirements?  Perfect!  Perfect!" she squeaked, hugging Chloe again.  "I can't wait!" 

Teagan's eyes were twinkling as she began imagining her evening with her blind date.  "Oh, thank you, Chloe!  This is going to be magnificent, I know it," she said.  "I'll be there tonight! I'm going to go get ready![1]" Teagan added, skipping away, waving joyfully goodbye to her friend.

The girl was really quite happy, and it warmed her heart. This was what the holidays were about... Setting people who should be together up, and then smiling when it works out perfectly! She knew Shade would be a gentleman, and Teagan would be so adorable, and it would just work! Chloe was sure of it!

"Alright. You go get all dolled up! You'll look great!" Teagan started to run back up to the castle, when Chloe called after her, "7:00, Room of Requirement!" She couldn't help but smile, and then hurried off herself to find the perfect outfit.
