Wand: 10 inches, Ebony and Leprechaun Hair.

This wand was made for his great, great, great ... great (you get the picture) grandfather by a stranger he met.  Something about him being pure of heart or some nonsense.

It has been passed down through the generations to the first-born male, though, if the wand doesn't react well to the child's first touch, they are not given the wand and it waits for the next boy to be born.

Physical Description: Jacob was given his father's looks, there is not one bit of him that looks or acts like his mother. 

He was born with black slightly wavy hair and piercing blue/grey eyes. After growing up in the small town in Ireland and constantly playing outside with the boys of the village, Jacob has a decent tan that always seems to never fade. 

He tends to wear what he pleases, but most usually - outside of work - you'll see him in blue jeans and a white shirt of some kind.

Personality Description: Jacob was born with a winning personality and as he got older, he put it to good use in getting what he wanted from his mother, his aunts, his grandmother - you name it.  Most of the woment in his family would do anything he asked once he looked at them with his 'special' look.

As he got older though, his winning personality became the personality of a playboy.  At Hogwarts he made it his personal goal to at least date every girl in school - the cute ones anyway. And he almost succeeded. 

After Hogwarts he began to settle down and revert back to his original personality.  He had to be somewhat professional in his job.

He can get angry, but prefers not to.  He gets along with almost anybody unless he finds you to be - in his words, "rotten to the core, born without a brain cell, or hit too many times with the ugly stick." - He's a bit shallow when it comes to looks.

History: Born on St. Patrick's Day he was a lucky boy as neither him or his mother were expected to live very long after his birth.  She lost a lot of blood, and he had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. 

Two days later they both went home perfectly healthy.

As he grew up, he came into his magic at age five and was taken to his grandfather's house in his best clothes.  At first he was curious, but then he saw the long, thin box encased in a glass case that his grandfather was walking to.  It was the wand ceremony that his family went through with every first born boy in his family. 

Jacob immediately got excited, he had heard his cousins talk about the wand and how it hadn't chosen anybody for three years, and now it was his turn.  Jacob could barely contain himself as he watched his grandfather wave his wand over the glass case and unlock it before taking the wooden box out  and placing it on his desk.

After what seemed like hours to little Jacob, his grandfather called him forward.  Jacob walked forward on shaky legs, knowing that running up there and grabbing the wand was a punishable offense, he had to be calm or this chance would be taken away.

He walked up to his grandfather's desk and up the small steps so he was even with the desk.  His grandfather looked down on him and smiled as he gestured for Jacob to take the wand in his hand.  Jacob reached out slowly and picked up the wand in his left hand and jumped as the silence of the room was broken by a collective gasp.  Nothing had happened when Jacob grasped the wand.

"Give it back son." his father told him and Jacob knew he had to listen to his father's order.  He passed the wand from his left hand to his right so he could just hand it back to his grandfather when the room lit up with green and orange sparkles shooting off like fireworks from the tip of the wand. 

Jacob's smile was never brighter than that day.

When he went to Hogwarts he was sorted into Slytherin and felt like he belonged immediately.  He didn't bully people, but he did feel like he was better than others because of his heritage, it didn't matter that he was a half-blood to the other Slytherins, for he made up for it by viciously pranking anyone that said he shouldn't of been in Slytherin. And, he would refuse the counter to the prank until the person or persons pranked would admit defeat and retract their words.

Graduating Hogwarts he decided to go into the Ministry to work.  He got a job in the Improper Use of Magic Office as an intern and worked his way up to having his own assistant and interns.

He met his wife Abigail on one of his trips to St. Mungo's to alert them of something that was going on that might be sending people to St. Mungo's.  It was there, in the tea room, that he met Abigail.  At first she wanted nothing to do with him and his playboy ways, but he slowly won her over and they were married 2 years later.

His attitude changed drastically after he was married, he went from a shallow playboy, to a protective husband the minute he said "I do."

Now he has more reason to be protective as his wife just gave birth 7 months ago to twin baby girls and he would do anything to protect his little family.

Describe your job duties and how you go about them: Jacob works in the Improper Use of Magic office.  He mainly delegates now, as he's got an assistant, a few that work under him, and a leaque of interns that he can toss the work onto, but he still sends regular notices to St. Mungo's when he finds something that might cause a problem.

Elaborate on your expertise in your field: He started as an intern and learned all he could from his aunt who also worked in the office. It didn't take him long to learn all he needed to know and soon he worked there full time.  The other interns regularly got jealous, but he paid them no mind and kept his mind on his job.
